With my 5 years experience i can say that you have explained this field very well in this short video just an FYI that an event manager or planner works around 18 to 24 hrs everyday. Very well explained video, god bless
Come on.. You are overdoing it "18-24 hours a day" it's not true. And if it is true for you somehow, quit ASAP! Whoever is making you work so much will kill you eventually.
I had to plan a charity event for my current job. After it ended, I had a lot of compliments from colleagues saying that Event planning could be my thing. So it just got me curious about it.
This is so full of information, and well rounded. Thank you so much! I have worked with a lot of events managers and they do such long hours and you are right, there are so many types of events and not just one type!
Thumbs up! 1st thanks for visual layout structure to take screeshots, notetaking, and short attn. span. Very helpfull for me to decide a career being a marketing major and having interests in event promotion.
I probably love this job... I'm 19 years old, and I know that this is not a common type of work, but I adore the concept to organize concerts or also events connected to festivals in general. So you helped me, now I have to make my decision. However, it said that you have to do what you like... isn't it? Thanks again. Iacopo
I am so glad this video helped you!! Of course, you should do what you like!! My last recommendation would be to try to get some internships, volunteering opportunities, job shadowing days or even a job to get a true feeling of whether you really like it and see yourself doing this forever or not. I wish you the best of luck!!
Now, I am in search for myself... And I like this video. Before I choose the sphere, I watch different videos about career paths and other things. Thank you!
This video helped me a lot because I was so confused about this carrer path, on the internet there are a lot of dicordants site. But this video clarified me everything.
I've studied architecture for two years, but I've always been a people person. I believe that rather than designing, I prefer interacting with people, helping them, and providing customer service. Throughout my life, I've naturally taken on leadership roles, coordinating group efforts to ensure everything runs smoothly. Also I am a very dedicated person, therefore I am the first in my class in architecture, so since I am good at it i don’t know if I should really change….. I worked as a waitress at a restaurant for a few months, and I loved my job. I enjoyed interacting with new people every day and was always smiling. Now, I'm considering a career change, but I'm uncertain because it's such a significant shift, and I don't want to regret it. Based on my profile, would you recommend me this career, or any other similar one? :( please help
Hey !! I am from india I want to pursue event management and i choose science as my stream after high school I'll pursue my event management thing then I'll search internship in us because i don't really wanna do this thing on india but as you asked on video what kind of event manager you want to become soo usually i want to become a IT event manager 👀
Nice video I'm new in the event planning field so what if I want to plan all events and not just a particular field. Are they people that plan all events?
Hi louise, according to my research not always! You can also gather experience through the years, but i always think that good and relevant education is very valuable. I would recommend you to reach out to other event managers out there and ask them about their careers and how to start in the industry. Good luck!
I am currently studying media and event production I would like to study this career but I am a bit lost, I dont know where can I study it, I am from Spain and I would like to study abroad.
@@jamiepender4271 that's great!! Now after this pandemic the events industry might change in a very interesting way, i am very curious to see how, don't you think?

I sent my educational qualification certificate's information and also my CV in many event organization company near my city. But no one replied me about they want to hire me or not. Of course!! You can do whatever you want to do! My advice would be to define your "Why". Why you want to study something, why you want to prepare yourself for that field? Is it because you enjoy it? Because you want to have a business in it? Why! I have been told this so much and recommended the book start with why from Simon Sinek. Give it tey maybe it can help you🤗🤗
Hi Devika, do your research, get to know yourself and convince yourself for that this is what you want to do. Think about your plan long term and present the pros and cons to your parents. I guess what i mean is you should show them that this is not a decision you made only with your heart but also thought about it and got informed and you spent your time considering it before you decided to move forward.
Hello! I am researching event careers for a school project so I just want to ask what the difference between Event Managers and Event Planners is? Some sources say that they are a separate entities however other resources say they are the same.
Hi Pauleen, i believe it depends on the Event management school that you are studying, but usually event managers are the ones overseeing the event and managing all the staff and the planners are the ones coordinating and preparing the different aspects, planning and executing
You would have to do some research about the specific inmigration requirements of the countries you are interested in, unfortunately i do not have that info
Hi Rajat, i imagine it is possible. My advice would be to get in linkedin and do some research of the positions offered and also research of the people already working in this area. What they do, where they are based, what the position is named there, what their roles are and so on. You can also contact people and ask them about their position. You can check our video about networking on instagram that you can totally apply to linkedin and other platforms ua-cam.com/video/8PS5aUmoWZM/v-deo.html . Check also if there are some online events that you can attend, it is always very helpful to get to know the different keywords used in other countries, the culture and so on. You can check eventbride.com or similar websites. . I hope this was helpful and good luck 👍
