Three-way Leviton 6674-P0W install checking in. If you’re certain of your wiring but your switch works backwards, you most likely need to swap your traveler wires over

What might be the consequences of incorrectly attaching the red wire of the dimmer to load and black wire to hot?
If a device is incorrectly wired the circuit breaker will trip.
This didn't happen in my case. I checked the wiring and even though hot and load were switched the dimmer was able to turn off and on the lights. But dimming slider didn't work. After I switched the wires, still no luck with the dimming and on/off still functions. I replaced a CFL for an LED light bulb and triggered the switch - but still no luck :(
My wiring has no load wire. I only have a black, white and copper. what do I do in this situation?
How do I change the direction of the rocker switch? Right now on is the direction of leaving the room.

People who are attempting electrical work themselves?? I do simple electrical work in my house and I would never do it without a voltage tester.
