“Hey mom can we keep him” says Eaglet
“No son “ but he can stay for dinner
Thing is.. the lil hawklet was being fed baby birds by its own parents aswell. Now the hawklet became the food to these eaglets. Foodchain ✓
The mother eagle is powerful enough to bring back two eaglets at a time.
Gives new meaning to “warming your dinner”
The nest is beautiful, the lining looks soft, cozy, and comfortable. Did they line it with mulch? Pine straw? No hard branches ever poked these babies!
I must be deaf or something, because when the caption text said "the hawklet begins to make distress sounds" I swear the only sound I heard on the recording was some nearby cow! :D
I heard the cow, too! Maybe the little guy does impersonations? 🦅🐄
You are deaf indeed, use your ear phones! @5:01 you can clearly hear the sound!!
We need more raw mother nature videos. Show people what is really like out there
It’s simple: Eat or be eaten (alive mostly).
Hawk chick has a broken right wing - the drumette part!
I believe i would have jumped out of the nest before momma eagle came back to feed again, Quick death is better than being torn apart
In the second part the eagles first carry on bonding with the little one, then they simply start to tear the fuck out of him and even fed the agonizing little hawk with a last meal of himself. Very brutal.
That is so funny that the birds poo just like I do!
Uhhhhh!………? Okay
@@bigb5206 Seriously, it's much faster. I'm a guy with places to go and people to see. Just have to open the nearest window....
I don't feel bad for the hawk because they keep eating my chickens and I'm wondering if they got my cat because he disappeared.
They probably did get your Cat😢 I'm so sorry!
It is super interesting that the dad didn't see it as prey and he was a bit confused and was brooding the hawklet. The baby eagles seemed a bit confused too as to whether it was prey or perhaps family. In the second follow up video the mother eagle comes back and eventually feeds the hawklet to her babies, but she takes some time picking at the hawklet for some time first before going in for the actual kill...almost like she was thinking about it before doing it or had misgivings? Wonder what they all were thinking?
From what I could tell she was plucking it.
They don't think, they simply act.
Don't apply human thinking to animals lmao
Raptors don't have human traits/characteristics, incapable of sympathy
I wonder if the Eaglet's parents were not around if the Eaglets would be strong enough at that age to protect themselves from an adult Goshawk.
Not likely.
You understand that this real raw view of real mother nature is going to drive some people into hysterics.
I'm aware. There is a warning in the title, people can choose to skip ths vid. Nature isn't just a beautiful movie to watch for us humans. It has hard sides. We either accept that including the distress it causes to watch or by choosing stepping away in time, or we will struggle a lot in life.
Из чужего гнезда пока всех птенцов не съедят, не успокоится
Exactly! I dont understand people sometimes. It's all good if the prey is dead but bringing a live prey item to the nest so the Eaglets can learn? Oh, h*ll no!
The parent is trying to teach her Eaglets important survival skills. If they can't figure out how to kill prey, they'll starve. Idk why that's so difficult for some people to understand. I guess they think there's a "Prey-r-us" in the middle of the forest where the Eagles shop at? 🤡
@@Butterfly-mt5ml they're born with the instincts to hunt, raptors don't really have the intelligence to teach and learn
@@Niko.. That’s not true. Every animal learns survival skills. Perhaps you should research before you tell anyone that they’re wrong, eh?!
Any follow up? Mother came and finished him or he fell out? Died of neglect? What happened?
There is a part 2 for this, watch it, you will know!
❤❤👌🏻💯🙋♂️
What a heart breaking situations.so sad😪
It is Decorah Eagles D32?
Is that hawklet presumed to be injured?
Hey mom ,what's for dinner?
Your cousin's Lol!!
Your cousin Ernie.
😳 poor thing, if only it could be raised by them
raised for later consumption
No behaviors that might lead to brooding/feeding.

Yeah that looks like me after a night of jager shots
The hawks will know better than to leave their babies defenseless next time.
They never learn....
