    Suggest that you put five wooden and five plastic frames in each box so you can see whether the bees react differently to them.

    My two concerns,
    1, plastic sweats when the hot air gets inside the water will drip down on the bees more than wood boxes that would absorb the water.
    2, wax worms have been proven to eat plastics, if you get any wax worms in there, I bet it will be a nightmare to get them out, they will eat holes inside your boxes.

    • @jo-han

    • @rovidius2006
      @rovidius2006 5 років тому

      @@JoseDanielFSX its a moisture barrier ,the condensation forms on its surface and it drips on the bees when cold ,that effect is diminished by the aid of the insulation inside the walls , but it still behaves like a human wearing a plastic bag under the garments when hot or cold , insulated covers tend to keep behive drier when cold

      It is a novel concept certainly. But it is also very expensive and, due to the many moving parts, I suspect that there will be a lot of mechanical problems. For example, just a bit of propolis would jamb the draining mechanism.
