Love how the chorus changes just one simple part, from “Ive developed a taste” to something more straightforward and somehow more sinister, “I’ve got a taste”
This is my favorite Sleep Token song, and I was just thinking the same thing earlier this morning.

Fun fact: The singer, Vessel, writes all of the lyrics and instrumentals. He then brings their drummer in to write the drum tracks and basically hired musicians to play the instruments because he doesn't have enough hands to play everything himself lol.
So they aren't like a full established band with definitive members? That's cool, I didn't know that

@@tiagofrancisco6955 Vessel is the only official member. As far as the writing process is concerned, I think their drummer is the only other person that's really involved. Their guitarist and their bassist are both "touring members" officially speaking.
@@yviscariello5755 This isn't true. The band 'Sleep Token' is classified as a 'Rock Collective' which means it can have any number of interchangeable members.

The Night Does Not Belong to God is my favorite song on Sundowning, and it is a perfect example of how brilliant their song structure and writing ability is. I’d love to see that!

I quite like this one. It's got a whole sexy vibe that contrasts really well with the sorta melancholic, remorseful vibe of many of the other tracks I've heard thus far. I absolutely love Vessel's vocal tone in the back half, it kind of reminds me of the tone Greg Puciato (vocalist of Dillinger Escape Plan, and his synthwavey project, The Black Queen) has when he gets into his sexier vocal melodies, and I'm a big fan of both of those bands and Greg's style in general. Something about the melody, maybe you could break it down further, but the instrumental bits at the start are all on beat with no flourishes or bends or anything while the vocals and the synthy drum bits have a lot of flourishes in them, and for me it creates this sort of magnetic pull. I don't know how else to put it than to say it gets me dancing.

It's actually very enjoyable seeing how your reactions to sleep token have evolved over time. Not in the sense of you going from not liking to loving (it was obvious you loved from the first one) but just how genuinely excited and enjoying the ride the song takes you on with each one. You could barely stay in your chair.

I think you are the only reacting channel with knowledge about music :D It makes me sad that nowadays a reaction channel is much more about clicks and views then actual appreciation for the music itself.
There's a lot more of them for sure, most of them seem to focus on vocalists though. Chase does seem to be the only one that goes this in dept on the instrumental part.

Yet another banger from Sleep Token. This one is catchy as hell. I'd recommend Take Aim as well as the other ones mentioned, which is a lot less heavy but gives Vessel a chance to really swing for the boundary. Gods is fucking fire. But whatever you listen to, I know you will love it because you react to every Sleep Token track exactly as I do. Worship bro

Don't know if I'm mentioned it before, but can you imagine them opening for Babymetal ? It was Jun. 2019 Brixton Academy, where you in the UK at the time ?
The Babymetal fans were kind of divided on them ( as was the press, both opening bands actually).
Sleep Token's live performance was very toned down like many parts of the songs but with a lot of symbolism.
The other opening band was Amaranthe.
I Sure was here. Had no idea about it though. Hopefully we get many more shows from both groups.

Love Sleep Token, once again, thanks to this channel. Another great reaction. This song vibes well, especially within the context of the album. You mentioned "Gods" and "The Night does not Belong to God", and although those are both fantastic songs, I think "Gods" does some interesting stuff I'd like to hear you talk about.

This is one of the bands that I have discovered on your channel and I am starting to like them a lot.
I would like other people to discover my absolute favorite band of the moment VINTERSEA, although the description of their music is something like progressive black metal, it is difficult to classify, melodically they are incredible musicians, but it also has a lot of heaviness. I hope you have time soon to give one of their songs a try, their latest video "Crack Of Light" is one of their coolest songs.

Hell yeah new Sleep Token reaction! Would kill to see reactions to the other two songs from the Two EP. Much more nuanced songwriting and arrangement than Sundowning IMO.
One of my favs by them is Nazareth, I definately recommend checking it out sometime.
