- From the new album My Father Will Guide Me Up a Rope to the Sky. You can never go back your past always taints your present. The one thing I liked best about the show at Lee's was that you got to see the musical evolution of Michael Gira. Jim is one of my favourite songs from the new album.
Was such a great show. I'll always remember the insane snare drum fills for No Words/No Thoughts. The crowd couldn't believe the intensity they were witnessing.
saw them night night at the metro in sydney. probably the best live gig i've ever seen. my ears and brain have been pulped
thanks for share this, Jim is one of my favorite songs in the album, i love Swans through all of the change in time, always proudly wear my t-shirt from "Filth" album!

as great as the new album is, the shameless fan in me is just dying to hear a couple of the earlier tracks they've been throwing in - i'd bribe gira to get "weakling" onto the setlist :D
looks like a black gibson es-335. it's a big semi-hollow guitar with humbuckers.
@luckyphilster Were you up the front row? I was in the front row in Melbourne. Greatest gig I have ever been to. God, Sex, God was the highlight song of the night. I had M. Gira briefly standing in front of me watching The Necks perform, but I didn't realise it was him until he walked away to turn the air-con off, so I didn't get to say anything to him. I got to shake Thor Harris hand, very friendly fellow.
PLEASE can anybody tell me the name of the guitar Michael Gira is using?

Stupid question, but I've been trying to figure it out since I first saw this. Is the person to the left behind Gira a man with large breasts, or a very masculine woman?
