The reason she looks so good at her 40’s is more likely a mixture of genetics and fillers/surgery. No dermatologist will ever recommend you to put so much face masks or chemicals on your skin. And what works for her doesn’t really have to work with you, since everybody’s skin is different. With your 3 steps skin care routine you’re good coz it works for you, you’ll damage less your skin, coz you’re using less chemicals on your skin. Keep it going. You’re beautiful.
Above all else, dermatologists know that everything is a "chemical." Dr. Shereene Idriss on UA-cam also noted that you can apply whatever amount of product your skin can tolerate. The amount of steps in your skincare routine has nothing to do with the health of your skin. Knowing the right ingredients and how to use them will.
Not usually leaving comments but seriously seeing a super model being so natural, real and simple (in a good way) while doing a skin care video, which could be pointed as a "superficial" topic is just refreshing and the contrast of complex beauty care to your easygoing vibe is just fun. I don't know anything about the model work but it feels like it is a place where you could get fashioned in a way they want and kind of standardize you but you look just like yourself and no-one else (feels weird to put my judgment out there and from one video but well I guess that's what comments are made for and its only positive vibe I am sending!). Also 8 steps???? already asleep at the 4th one!
Hi Emily. I was having a really bad acne flair up since last 4 weeks and I was so under confident. I have always loved you and today when I saw your confidence and elegance even after your acne scars, I feel better. I feel more accepted and thank you. You are someone I can always look up to
I really believe in trusting your skin when it comes to skincare! I add and skip steps depending on how my skin feels ☺️ and btw, yours always looks so plump and gorgeous! 💖
Love that you're so honest about everything Emily! And your reaction to the three different face masks was amazing hahaha. Thank you for brighten up this day! xoxo from The Netherlands
Mine is 3, skin can only absorb so much. Maybe 4 which includes a mask but not every day. Love you Emily so so much. You have helped me so much during this pandemic.
Love how honest you are! Your content is awesome! Maybe another video you could do is “using rice water” for growth and strengthening hair or even like best hair masks and try out different ones!
I had used a dermaroller before, 4 times in 4 different months. It was suggested by my dermatologist, and of course it is a different kind of dermaroller than the one you can use by yourself (the needles are longer, and yes, it hurts so much): it definitely improved my acne scars and my skin tone is more even! I would recommend it but - as you said it - used by a specialist! Love your videos ✨
I have never followed anyone else's skin care routine. Not really keen on doing it either, bc I have a sensitive combination skin type. So, I simply listen to my skin, and body or do what my dermatologist suggests me. PS: Your skin looked so good at the end!! XX
If you are looking for a clean cleanser, highly recommend Farmacy’s Green Clean makeup melt away cleansing balm. Cleanses and gently removes makeup - it’s a holy grail product!
Emily you are the cutest person everrrrrr.....I use cetaphil cleanser, then a prescription strength retinoid at night. In the day I cleanse, moisturise and then put on a layer of spf. That’s it! I am 46 and I look 26
Great video! For me I use a simple skincare routine: Bioderma Micellar water, Bioderma Sensibio Cleansing Gel and for moisturizing L'Oreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water. And for the face I am enjoying Face Jade Roller+Gua Sha
Hey I love you so much Emily ! You are so natural and adorable to watch. in Keep doing your videos I’m watching your vids from France ! 🇫🇷 ❤️❤️ By the way I do about 5 steps (removing my makeup, using a cleanser, using a toner, using a Vit C sérum and using a moisterizer) and sometimes I use some masque !
Love this video! ❤️💖❤️ Can you show us your current skincare routine? I like a simpler routine too :) Also what skin type so you have? Also when you do the hair oil do you apply to your roots or just the ends? And what type of hair oil do you use? Sorry so many questions 😂
My morning skincare is 7 steps, (cleanse with hydrating cerave cleanser or if I've worked out I use their foaming cleanser, hydrating fermented toner, hyaluronic acid serum, niacinamide serum, cerave lotion, Versed Vitamin C powder mixed into The ordinary resveratrol + Ferulic acid serum, Weleda Skinfood light). My night time skincare routine is 9 steps (oil cleanse, Inkey List Salicylic acid cleanser, hydrating fermented toner, hyaluronic acid serum, niacinamide serum, cerave lotion, differin gel, cerave cream or Weleda skinfood light which most of the time I mix together and finally rosehip oil). But a couple times a week my night time routine gets even longer: I replace the Inkey List Salicylic acid cleanser with the Cerave hydrating cleanser, followed by a green tea clay mask and then I use an aha/bha/pha exfoliating serum after the Niacinamide serum and before the cerave lotion and the differin, taking it up to 12 steps... I'm nearly 30 with very dry and acne prone skin... I gotta take this shit seriously or my skin really suffers 😂😂
For the derma roller I found out that you’re supposed to use NO PRESSURE whatsoever. You can still feel the little spikes but you get used to it. It shouldn’t hurt at all.
Hello Emily! The video like always fun and interesting, always watching it in mornings for positive mood for the day) Also want to recommend you a face cleanser it's by Lumene brand, Micellar Gel Cleanser. It removes my make up, if I work it well, without any help of oils or other.
I love all your videos, but your skin care videos are my faves! I don't have a eight step skin care routine either! LOL! Three or four steps and I feel good. I have used Caudalie in the past, and they're not my favorite. One of the main reasons is they are not cruelty-free. They changed the way they worded it, to make it seem like they are, but sadly they still do animal testing. :( I love Tata Harper and Pai has a Camellia & Rose Gentle Cream Cleanser, and makes your skin feel so soft and not dry at all after washing, and is cruelty-free! How is Izzy? I miss seeing her! :)
Codex beauty wash off will get all your eye make and foundation off and is amazing, 🍀 ☘ all natural ingredients, love there products, my routine is cleanse, toner, serium and moisturise , also use an ice roller when i feel like it 😀
I do 8 steps night rutine. First i clean my eye make up with oil, than i wash my face twice with different jel, than i use mask for blackheads, after that i use tonic for my face, than i use eye cream for dark area, than i use Alpha hydroxy acid serum, after that i use hydrate serum (shiseido ultimate) and last step i use lips scrab :))
Great video Emily!! I definitely don’t do 8 steps that’s a little much lol 😂 I only do 3 or 4 steps and for much cheaper cost! I have very dry skin like you I need to be hydrated feeling!! Your my favorite model thanks for being a daily inspiration!! ❤️
Not the roller for you. I buy mine from Nordstrom's for $28 which is made of quartz with free delivery. I use it once I've applied my serum and after my moisturizer. It comes with instructions. As for facial routine, at night I use a cleanser, toner, serum, eye cream & moisturizer. In the morning I use a cleanser, toner, vitamin c serum mixed with hyaluronic acid, eye cream, and dermalogica spf 50 with moistuizer in it which I also add a few drops of creme that protects against pollution. I use the serum always on a damp face. It enhances the absorption. My face isn't dry when I apply it.
I like how you did it for a few days to actually tell how you like it that was cool I feel like when others try out skincare routines they only do it for one day also where is your sweater from on the last day
Just a tip: Double cleanse! Use a cleansing oil, balm or micellar water and then cleanse afterwards with a water based cleanser. The oil breaks down the makeup, sunscreen and all the bakterias and pollution from the environment and the cleanser washes it off
Where do you donate your used beauty products?! I would love to know this, because sometimes I'm just not feeling a product, but I also can't return it to the store/retailer.
You should not dermaroll at home!! Especially if you have no idea what you’re done/haven’t done any research. You can introduce bacteria into your skin and tear it, which causes more acne, sagging, wrinkles, keloid scars, etc.
I am no expert but I am using a dermaroller and I like the feeling. I like the pain. 😜In my opinion you can use a dermaroller at home you should just be careful in what needle length you use and clean it with 100% alcohol.
I look at you and think, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Thx for all that you do, was watching your video at 1:45AM eating Spicy Doritos 😆😆 🤗
I think you'd really like Biossance and Intelligent skincare, as far as brands that don't use any fragrance except for totally natural essential oil-based fragrance.

I think it's from Jennifer Fisher Jewelry. 🦋
I do 8 steps in the morning and 9 in the evening 🤣 And this without considering masks and/or scrubs 😬
I’m sorry, I love skincare 😂
Would love to see a zero waste skincare/hair routine, like with shampoo bars etc. Wondering if you like that too!
Thanks for doing this! Probably won’t buy anything but the micellar water!
Love your videos. Your personality really comes through. Wondering if you have ever tried Beautycounter for your skin routine ? Interested to see.

The Gaudalie mask is a clay mask. Clay masks are recommended to use each 1-2 weeks, not every evening- that’s why the skin is dry.
Caudalie

Best micellar water for sensitive skin is by far Bioderma Sensibio H2O. I've been using it for years. French Pharmacie OG!
I use their face wash and it’s also great.
Also I do 4 steps...wash, tone, serum and moisturizer
The fact that people are disliking it even before the premiere started. It sucks man
Indeed! :-(
