Sarah Surowka i think avene is ok, the moisturizer works really really good, but I think is way to expensive ... cetaphil provides a similar effect and is more affordable, no fragrance, no hype and I am loving it
You only need a few products to get glowing skin. 1, cleanser, 2, a retinoid, 3 a moisturiser and 4 a SPF. (And stay away from anything that is marketed by “celebrities” or has perfume).
Loved how honest the review was . I feel like some bloggers don’t give their genuine reviews sometimes. You are just so refreshing to watch . Keep it up Lots of love
Antee Gurung agreed! Finally someone who has influence that is wholeheartedly telling us her experience. We really don’t see much of this - these days or ever!
Just wanted to point out out that this is definitely not Kylie’s skincare routine, just her skincare line. There’s no way she uses those products because she knows better for her own skin 😅
Fragrance is definitely a no no. And you are right about the walnut scrub, the shards are way too sharp and can scar your skin with tiny scratches! Also In general, anything that foams up like that cleanser is completely not worth it in my opinion.
Naama Krispil I feel the same - I just can’t get rid of the feeling that the consistency of foam is too light to actually touch and cleanse my skin 🤷🏻♀️
Yeah, watch out for the walnut scrub. Tons of dermatologists were criticising Kylie’s walnut scrub as the scrub particles are to bog and sharp so that would make tiny cuts on your skin, damaging your skin which would age your skin
Emily uses a retinoid, she has mentioned this herself in a few videos. And I can promise you that is the number 1 reason she has this even, glowing, pinkish complexion. No other product can give this results. Just remember to use an spf every day as well to protect your new skin! Cause what a retinoid does it is turns over your skin cells faster, about 10 days faster than it would t do without. Which means you will have newer, younger skin. You need a prescription strength retinoid for it to be strong enough to actually do anything to the skin. Now we are lucky, cause there is Differin, which used to be prescription strength only until very recently.
You have to use very carefully vitamin A because it causes multiple problems and side effects.. go and read about it, that’s why you need prescription. I used some tablets couple years ago for acne, and after some months it caused me hypervitaminosis with consequenses such as a lot of anxiety, panic attacks etc.. things I never had before and then I red that it was all caused and accentuated by that shit.. but one thing is true, in few months I gained a beautiful clear skin and even beautiful clean hair (I usually have oily scalp, like my face however).. even my black pores on nose were gone that normally even my beautician can’t remove! it’s sad that it frequently causes all that crap.
Try out the cerave eye cream w/niacinamide! I don’t personally think you need to spend lots of $$$ on expensive eye creams b/c they’re just like regular moisturizers w/ intense marketing to convince you it’s “for the eye”. The cerave one is not expensive and has a GREAT ingredient list. Recommended by Hryam! :)
I know this sounds strange, but I like that you have light and thin eyebrows, because I also have such eyebrows. I used to be very complex about this because I have dark brown hair and green eyes and light and thin eyebrows ... but after your videos I feel much more confident and love my eyebrows like that ♥
Not sure if you'll see this, but apparently the foaming agents in cleansers can cause dryness and seeing that her cleanser is extremely foamy, I think that that might be the problem!
I cannot stop staring at your jewelry throughout the video (even though I'm supposed to pay attention to the skincare review lol)! Please do a jewelry video because I love how minimalistic each piece is!❤️
Thanks for your honest review! I tend to stay away from really foamy cleansers as they really strip my skin and make it super dry. Maybe she’s targeting her younger more oily followers. THE BEST EYE CREAM IS SHISHEIDO BENEFIANCE WRINKLE SMOOTHING EYE CREAM!! Xo
Double cleansing for removing makeup is a must!! To know more about skincare I really like 3 YT channels (maybe you already know them): Hyram, Beaty Within and mixed makeup. Love your videos!! Hope the situation is getting better in NY! greetings from Spain :)
Love this video! I really appreciate your honest opinion and I don't think you need to be apologetic or worried about sharing your experience with a brand and its products. You back it up with facts and it was super helpful and informative! Love you so much!
I looooove your videos. You are soooo honest! it's refreshing to know that there's people like you in the modeling industry! stay safe!! I love First Aid Beauty for my skin
I would LOVE to watch a video of you talking about your vogue covers and your experiences shooting them! I’ve always wondered about the process that goes into getting chosen to be a cover model, the pressure of shooting the cover, and what it does for your career! A side of the industry those of who aren’t models don’t get to see, but really interest me being on the outside a consumer!
Just to point out that foaming cleansers tend to be drying for the skin especially if they contain perfume. I advise you check skin care by Hyram for an overview on what to use to avoid drying out your skin and you can also find a lot of products review including one on Kylie Jenner's skin line if im not mistaken.
Thanks for the honest review! BTW my favorite cleanser (also endorsed by all my derm friends) is the Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser. It takes off all makeup & is hydrating. The whole Vanicream line was developed by the Mayo Clinic and is effective, safe for sensitive skin, and affordable.
The kardashians won’t get at your back nor knock at your door, don’t worry it’s one of the lockdown good side. 😂😂 That’s why sometimes I’m louder than what I should be
Screw them, they're such trash con artists. They can't touch a successful working model in NY, Emily has nothing to worry about. Think about it, these science projects have only been invited to the Met Gala for the last couple of years. Now, if you're an LA reality star on E! then maybe I'd worry about them but thassit...
I love how real you are! Would you mind doing an eyebrow video? We have similar hair and skin tones and I struggle to find the right color to fill in my eyebrows. Thank you!!
Great video. Paula’s Choice Resist anti aging eye cream is great. It’s really rich. Also their 20% niacinimide booster serum is awesome. U can put it directly on or add to moisturizer.
Hi Emily! I would suggest you to try korean skin care! I loooove it! My skin has never been this good! Brands like benton, dr. Jart+, blithe, manyo all are great! 😉
I love skincare❤️ thanks for this video! My personal recommendation is to try elizabeth arden cleanser, manyo probiotic serum, shiseido eye patches and Kiehls masks. Well, you could review Kiehls, their products are really good. Especially night oil and eye cream.
I think this is exactly what I expected from her products and why I haven’t ordered them. Haha I’m so glad you did and confirmed my predictions!! My favorite cleanser is the yellow Purity from Ulta - quite literally the only cleanser I’ve ever found that doesn’t dry me out. My favorite day time moisturizer is the Countermatch from Beautycounter, and my favorite nighttime moisturizer is their Countertime cream. It’s so silky and creamy. Their Countertime serum is amazing too! They just came out with a Vitamin C that I haven’t tried yet. I just love all their stuff so much because there’s no fragrances or bad stuff! 💜
5:48 "oh my God there is something in my teeth!" Me: Em youre so pretty I did not even see it. I have a crush on this girl ever since I saw her maybelline posters here in the Philippines, so glad I can get to see you more often here on YT. You will forever be my maybelline girl ❤
Love how down to earth Emily is and how honest the review was. I personally wouldn't use anything by Kylie Jenner, she's hardly a make up and skin care guru. I'd rather use (quality) drugstore products. :) Also, this has nothing to do with the review, but just wanted to say I love you in Enya's Caribbean blue video!
I really love the vitamin c and e serum from the Sephora collection line I think you might like. Its watery but when I put it on (my skin is on the dryer side) my skin feels really hydrated and it sits really well under makeup. I also notice it fades any scarring and helps with discolouration. It also gives a really nice glow. Love you and hope you're staying safe
I’ve always used Neutrogena products on my face; for me THATS the only thing that keep my skin flawless, besides that I barely use makeup. But when it comes to skin routine, there are tons factors that apply. Best regards to you Emily 💕
I just found your channel in quarantine and I love your videos ♥️ I also tried the face wash and toner and felt the SAME way! I love Kylie & I liked her makeup line, but the face wash burned and I felt like it was too harsh leaving my face dried out. The vanilla toner smelled great but I actually think it made my breakouts worse at the time. I have my own skincare brand called dear self skincare and I would love to get the products to you once we restock!!! In particular I think you would love our eco friendly makeup remover pad that literally is a magic eraser! Lots of love to you, stoked to have found your channel!
I am not only in love with your beauty... But honesty too. ❤️ It's never too late to try anything. I haven't tried Kylie skin care products yet. ❇️ ❌ ⭕ ❌ ⭕ ❇️ Love ya
Hi, I love watching your videos, your smiles are always so refreshing. I love that you are doing skincare content ! Just a few things, it's not good that the foaming cleansing leaves your skin dry and maybe you could try breaking off your eye makeup with an oil cleanser just before ? It would be more gentle on the very sensitive skin around your eyes. I don't really know why you picked Kylie Skin when there is SO many better options out there ?
Love skincare videos!!! My fave 🤩 It would be so much fun to see you try ole henriksen and Pixi as well! And are you sure that you don't want to give (a reaaaally good) toner one more try?? To me, the right toner is a game changer! A really good and affordable one is Supple Preparation Toner from the korean skincare brand Klairs 🥰
Love this video!! I would love to see a video with your holy grail products! For face and body :D I need whatever magic you are using to get such glowing skin!
Hey Emily! Love your videos, by the way. 💖 One brand you could try is the e.l.f. skincare line if you want to. I think it would be really cool to see you try it since it’s the brand I’m most interested in at the moment. I hope you’re doing well and staying sane through this crazy time! Keep up the good work, I always look forward to watching your videos! 😍
Could you do a review of image skincare? Maybe the vital c or ormedic line specifically (or whichever one works best for your skin type)? I’d love to hear your thoughts on those!
Could you do a review of black soap and raw shea butter? This is a truly natural skin care regimen that's quite popular right now and is really effective. 🌼🌷🌾
I also LOVE skincare - i'm a skincare junky 🙃 i would like to see a review from the skincare brands missha (korean skincare), paula's choice, drunk elephant
hi Emily! I also am not convinced w eye creams 😂 I use the avocado one from khiels but I don’t know if it actually works ? Or if it’s doing anything at all lol
Hey Emily, I love watching your videos - you have such a great personality and positive way of living! I would like to see some organic skin care routine! But in general I like your skin care and makeup videos a lot! 100% pure is a good organic brand that comes into my mind! Stay as you are and take care!
Aussie brand Go-To is fantastic! fancy face oil cleanser gets that mascara right off! And face hero is AMAZZZING definitely worth giving it all a go xx
Hello Emily, thanks for your update about skin care, it's so much important to find the right product and to define marketing and real care. I've read recently researchers about skin oils and what it made from and why we get black heads and break out and dry skin and how is it connected with oil and fats we are consuming and the way we are cleaning our skin. The point is we have to eat enough omega 3 and omega 6 and omega 3 mostly, then our skin oil will be capable to protect the own moisture from dusting,to fight with bacteria on skin surface-for no brake outs, and thee good consistency and ingredients of skin oil depends on which fat and oil we are eating. All kinds of oils except-coconut oil, Oliv oil and Lein oil- will make skin oil thick and pure in antibacterial ability-so it's the way to get black heads and information. The same is for hush scrubs and facials, dry skin will produce fast a "pure" skin oil . That is what I wanted to share with you 💕🇩🇪👩💻🌎🍀 with love from Joanna
Just a big thank you for this video! Sometimes it's difficult to have truthfulness on social media😅 but you got it! I made a clear idea about the products so keep it up please! We need transparent contents and opinion nowadays🙈 I'm also really interested in what you will try in the future!! I read the other comments and they've already asked about some product I would like to see in your content, so no request for me👐🏻
I think this was the most genuine and detailed review I have ever seen! Great work! :) I would really want to recommend something but because I have super sensitive skin, the products that work best for me is all baby skincare 😂 But I think I have to start searching for something different since I’m getting close to 30s 😱
You could do a video explaining how to choose the right vitamin c product and what are their differences :) and maybe something about retinoids? it's confusing haha, love from Italy
Loved what you did with Kylie 's skin brand.. Got to say I completely agree with your thoughts and comments!! Love to know your thoughts for the skincare line... SkinCeuticals.. Especially the C F Ferulic treatment?... Adore you😘
Hi Emily!🌷I love your positive energy and your natural human being. I'd love to see one week of using natural skincare products (e.g. mn-cosmetics)! Lots of love from Germany!
My fave eye creams I’ve ever used are the farmacy dew it all total eye cream and the clinique all about eyes rich!!! Noticed such a big difference with both :) I just switch between them every now and then
Hey Emily. Looking gorgeous. I think you should try Premier Dead Sea products next. They have some exceptional products. I am sure you will love them. 😊
Honestly I love the Biotherm Life Plankton eye cream! Emily is a brand ambassador for Biotherm and I tried the brand because of her. Great product! Took away my under eye dark circles in a matter of days after first use!
I love the Vitamine C and the moisturizer the most. It works great for me for everyday. I also love to use products from the Ordinary. I would be curious what you think about those. 😘😘
can u do the whole glossier skincare suite? i’ve always been curious about their serums. also BYBI Beauty is a natural skincare line i’ve tried a few products from and really like. they have a bakuchiol serum that i swear by. also the strawberry booster is an amazing natural vitamin c option.
You mentioned that you've discovered some facial cleansers that are great at removing makeup, and I was wondering if you could please share them with us?! I've never had luck with finding a one stop shop product. I remove my makeup with coconut oil and then do a double cleanse with my facial cleanser.
Hello Emily, again great video👌im also “ team skincare “! Could you try a routine with french pharmacy’s products (avene, embryolisse, caudalie...) ? Bises from France !
I really love The Ordinary! More affordable too and I really trust where they source their products. I think they’re also based out of the EU and I trust EU products more than American products, as we don’t have as many regulations as the EU haha. Would like to see your thoughts on them!
I love Innisfree Jeju Orchid Eye Cream. I tried every eye cream out there Emily, from High-end to drugstore. I always come back to Korean Eye Cream. Try it!
Personaly the only thing that worked for me for cleaning off makeup is using a microfiber towel with only water on it! Much gentler on my skin and eyes and you should definetely try it out! :) Speaking of, I would love a reveiew of the beauty/bodycare tools you use more than the actual products! Would be interesting to hear :)
I had zero interest in Kylie skin, but watched your review because I really trust your opinion. I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on Odacite skin care. I have only used their Black Mint Cleanser and Blueberry Jasmine Serum Concentrate, but they were fabulous! :)
I love the Biossance gel eye cream! It’s also a clean product. I feel like that eye cream I’ve actually noticed a difference. Also, I used to literally wash my face with dove bar soap until I was like 20 lol. Wish I knew about skincare earlier.
Hi Emily, This was such a great video and I love how honest you were about your feedback!! I've tried sooo many luxury skin brand products over the last few years and I really like/would recommend Elemis (it's kind of expensive so I usually buy it new on EBay) but their Pro-Collagen Day and Night Creams as well as Quartz serum have done wonders for my skin! I'm 33 and have combination skin if that helps! Also, I usually tend to like Murad and Origins products. Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging cleanser is awesome and literally takes off all my makeup and I really like the Plantscription serum. Murad has an awesome Vitamin C serum that really seems to work for my skin as well! Thanks again for being such a great role model and taking time out of your day to share your experiences! You've been a joy to watch!:)
when the toner removes the makeup, that's left on your face, that's not plus for toner, that's a minus for a cleanser. that cleanser just didn't work well. p.s love u sm
Please do a review of french drugstore beauty like Avene, La Roche Posay, and Bioderma.
Sarah Surowka i think avene is ok, the moisturizer works really really good, but I think is way to expensive ... cetaphil provides a similar effect and is more affordable, no fragrance, no hype and I am loving it
Best brands !!! im living in France and it is so affordable there, very efficient and their products are made for sensitive skin !
I am french and theses brands are amazing ! It's not too expensive her but in us maybe... The effects on my skin were impressive so you should try ;)

I think it would be really cool to see you try it since it’s the brand I’m most interested in at the moment. I hope you’re doing well and staying sane through this crazy time! Keep up the good work, I always look forward to watching your videos! 😍
Thank you so much!
Thanks for this! A dermatologist once told me that toners don’t really add any benefit. I agree with skipping toners as an unnecessary step
Thanks for the tip!
Emily u don't know how much I love you
I also LOVE skincare - i'm a skincare junky 🙃 i would like to see a review from the skincare brands missha (korean skincare), paula's choice, drunk elephant
Thanks for the tip!
hi Emily! I also am not convinced w eye creams 😂 I use the avocado one from khiels but I don’t know if it actually works ? Or if it’s doing anything at all lol
Also you should try the ordinary! I love that brand and it’s super affordable for people in college!
I used the same cream but I don’t think it’s worth the hype or the price tag..it’s just meh 😑
I smiled during the whole video!!
You are so cute and funny!!! ( hairstyles and kris jenner coming after you) 😂😂😂
Ahh 3 hours! I didn't realize it was a premiere and now I can't wait to watch it!
Love youuuu! I would love if you tried the ordinary skin care and hudas wishful!
I read the other comments and they've already asked about some product I would like to see in your content, so no request for me👐🏻
Thank you so much!
I loved your review, the explanations about pros and cons were very helpful & made sense.
I think this was the most genuine and detailed review I have ever seen! Great work! :)
I would really want to recommend something but because I have super sensitive skin, the products that work best for me is all baby skincare 😂 But I think I have to start searching for something different since I’m getting close to 30s 😱
Adore you😘
Please do a glossier skincare!
Hi Emily!🌷I love your positive energy and your natural human being. I'd love to see one week of using natural skincare products (e.g. mn-cosmetics)! Lots of love from Germany!
Thank you!
Oh my gosh, you're so funny😂😂the foamy cleanser part!!
My fave eye creams I’ve ever used are the farmacy dew it all total eye cream and the clinique all about eyes rich!!! Noticed such a big difference with both :) I just switch between them every now and then
Review on Kora Organics or Honest Beauty? :) always a pleasure to see your videos !
Thank you!
Thank you for your honest review Emily! Really enjoyed the video:))
Try Simple and Eucerin brand
P/s: you should do double cleansing
Hello Emily, again great video👌im also “ team skincare “!
Could you try a routine with french pharmacy’s products (avene, embryolisse, caudalie...) ?
Bises from France !
I would love a Glossier of The Body Shop review. Love your videos btw!
Hi emily! I would recommend you to use the korres wild rose skin products!
Thanks for the tip!
Thank you!
@@EmilyDiDonato You're welcome!!! I just watched your most recent video and Ioved it! Thanks for being sooo real!! 😄
when the toner removes the makeup, that's left on your face, that's not plus for toner, that's a minus for a cleanser.
that cleanser just didn't work well.
p.s love u sm
That's because it's a cleanser and not a make up remover... Should be used after a cleansing oil or balm
I loved this! Great job.
The color of your eyes are stunning, so so beautiful.
I absolutely love sunday riley’s skin care and origins i think they are the best i’ve ever tried and oh also ole henricon is also a good one
Thanks for sharing!
