I do it to account for the difference in height of the tumbler. It is as if you are measuring in the middle of the slope and it seems to work of you subtract 1.5mm.
I followed your setup and the bottom came out perfect with no laser lines, smooth as the e posed stainless steel on top but over the middle transition piece shows slightly differently with some lines and not as smooth. Any suggestions? I'm using XTool S1-40 watt. On a Stanley, super light pink. Settings: 80% power / 250 speed / 200 lp. Added the 1.5mm as well.
@@LeticiaMelendez-f9y It could have to do with the color, or the thickness of the powder coating. Did you try 'polishing' it with a magic sponge? Also, I use less power and a lower LPC.
@@ChristineSchottky I have the European riser base. I removed the base plate and lift it up a bit by putting some small pieces of wood underneath. Otherwise the tumblers will not fit.

@@barry1527 Let me know if it works!
Great video! Can you ellaborate on why you subtract 1.5mm from the original distance? What if we're working with inches? TY

What is the tool you are using with the laser line?
It is part of the ra2 pro accessory kit:

I would like to know what tool that is that has the laser on the base.
