    The water went through the grounds so fast! I think if you had a bit more in the pod and tamped the grounds to compact it the results would have been closer to a true espresso.

    • @Anders_EU
      @Anders_EU  3 роки тому +1

      I do it eyeball, but it's 9 grams most of the time. For a double shot you need 14-18 grams and that cannot go into the capsule, 10 grams are the limit...so go with maximum and make 1½ shot, but remember to leave a little space for the intake of water. Hope this will work for you

      Anders well....
      We use this kind of capsules since 4years...
      we use the permanentfilter and use a tamper.
      Fine ground coffee.
      And we have perfect result. No residues of coffeegrinds.
      I believe your filterpaper just compensates a bit a too coarse grind and too weak compression.
      This kind of shredding mills i don’t like. The result is not even.
      Better buy in offer a baristamill.(80€)or cheaper a grundig cm6760 diskmill.
      And the residues... hmmm if the filter has a hole or is missing, of course youll have some. ;-)

      We still use the first in brown.
      Even we made accidents in the beginning and destroyed one, because we forgot to align the needle to the hole. But since then, we live the result... actually we got the machine second hand from a friend, who wanted throw it away, because he found at the end the capsules too expensive, and was too lazy to refill (now he uses a fully automatic). And for us it works perfect.

      @@Anders_EU I did a water run to check if anything is blocked and everything went smoothly. I cleaned the needle with a needle too. So I don't think it's the water reservoir or blockage and I believe I've been installing it properly after each refill. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I think it just comes down to the quality of the capsules that I have. I've been running some espresso test runs now, with & without filters, 1 & 2 coffee spoons, tampering the coffee & without, rinsing it out, drying & cleaning the rim, rubber, casket after each test and neither really turned out good and not far as near as your yummy looking espressos. Either the lid pops or the flow reduces and eventually stops before machine time runs out. So, before I go crazy or break my machine, I'll just order the 3rd gen and check again. 😉

    Hi. I have some water leaking on the side when using these capsules. I think it does not hurt the machine but always need to clean up around the machine. Any idea why could it happen? How much coffee do you put in your capsules? I tried 8g and 6g and with both amount I have the issue. Thanks

    • @Anders_EU
      @Anders_EU  6 років тому

      That happens to me too sometimes, I think it's because of the graining is too fine, or because of too much coffee, I leave about 10mm space at the top. I think you have to see what works best for you!...or maybe buy some new ones, the gasket won't last forever. Have a great brewing ☕

      @@Anders_EU Capsules are new so it's not those.. I tried without coffee and it did not leak like that so I am sure it's something with a coffee (amount or pressing it down).. Tomorrow I will try to leave the coffee loose and not pressing it down.. I hope it will work :)

    • @Anders_EU

      The purpose of the filter is to make the coffee more creamy, the difference is huge!... I don't think it will make the pod last longer. ☕

      Make sure the beans are made for giving crema, if so, then give it at little harder pressure before closing the capsule and leave about 8-10mm space at the top. Good luck ☕

      Why do you think so? it's good for the environment, capsules can be used over and over again, the machine only use 20 second to prepare before it can be used (compared to boiling some water, it's much faster too), you can use beans to your taste, and overall it's a better taste.

    Okay, question: why buy a dolce gusto machine when you can’t afford the cups? Get a regular coffee machine (since you have the filters already 🙄) and save $80 on the machine in the first place! After that you can use any coffee you like, without the need for fake cups and trickery. 😂

      ...Yeah it seems funny, I will give you that 🤣 The reason I use these capsules with my own coffee, are because original pods taste terrible, and since coffee made under pressure taste much better than a regular cup of coffee...btw, I can make a cup of coffee on this machine, before the water is boiled for a regular cup of coffee 👍
