I listened to this song many times, and I didn't realize how beautiful the lyrics are.
Same here I’ve listened to poison the well for almost 15 years and within the last year realized how beautiful this song actually is

i thought this was going to be horrible, but it's quite interesting and very worthy of a listen. the original is probably still one of my favorite hardcore songs of all time. makes me yearn for hardcore in the early '00s again.

Poison The Well was the band that got it right the first time around. Here we are a decade and bands are still using their template. PTW will forever be one of my favorite bands.

This song. This is my favorite version, 2006 i would listen to nerdy on repeat, in art class, on the bus, etc. This will forever be my favorite song, engrained forever in my memories.

i'm infatuated with this cover.. i haven't listened to 'metal' since my high school years(05-07) and it feels so nice to hear this song again to remind me of all i've lost and how happy i am to hold the one i love and still get lost in her eyes. and this version is one i can show to my girl... let's see if she can appreciate it like i have.

i fell in love with PTW in 2002 when i was i guess 12 or 13 years old. that was when i was big on the hardcore scene back then. people didn't fuck with these guys but i always sang their praise.
this song is awesome. it's like a private slice of heaven for us oldschool PTW fans. Like a secret fishing spot, or a really awesome place in the woods that no one knows about

A decade later and I still get chills whenever I listen to this song. It’s raw and unpolished but I think that it captures the depth of the song perfectly! From tears when I first heard this song to chills from the heavy nostalgia that it beautifully brings me.

well, i still think its a love song. that line "when im not with you i feel lesser alone" could also mean he feels lesser alone because he simply knows that shes there...
and to be infatuated matches the feelings when youre really in love.
I’m a huge fan of PTW and never could have interpreted this song this way on my acoustic. I tried for years to turn it acoustic. Even better now that are touring again in 2021!

I used to listen to this thinking about a girl i loved, but now i don't think it is actually a love song. That line "When I'm NOT with you I feel lesser alone", means he feels more alone with the person than without. Think about it :)

@djnorge yeah dog, girls aren't attracted to guys who think of themselves like that. you have to love yourself in order to be able to love anyone else. if you feel different and isolated from everyone you need to embrase that and come to terms with thats just who you are and love yourself. you will be suprised but people pick up on that and want to be around people like that cuz really thats what everyone is trying to accomplish themselves...
