The Pickup: Pure Stealth / No Quickhacks - Cyberpunk 2077

- The Pickup job done with no detection and no takedowns other than Dum Dum at 0:35.
No quickhacks and no cyberware used.
Here I go with Meredith Stout's plan and pay Maelstrom with infected credit chip that has virus on it. Of course, this isn't the most peaceful way to handle this job since you can skip on meeting Stout and pay 10k out of your pocket to walk away with the bot, but it's the only case where you get to stealth through Maelstrom base. Siding with Maelstrom against Militech will result in all-out combat with no possibility to avoid detection.
Rules:
No quickhacks
Non-lethal takedowns only
All attributes left at 3 (minimum)
No perks
No extra cyberware in any slots besides the ones I have installed by Viktor: eye, hand, OS
Very Hard difficulty
I like to imagine this is how V and Jackie got around before V got a car.
The Pickup quest is honestly the most impressive quest I've ever played in any RPG. The tension, the setting, the insane amount of options, branching paths and the multiple consequences on the world (helping Meredith or not, siding with Maelstrom or not, how you play, do you free Brick, do you kill Royce or not ...) is just mad.
If only every quest in the main storyline had so much depth, this'd be the groundbreaking game it promised to be. It's still an amazing game though imo
Kind of reminded me of the first real mission in Deus Ex Human Revolution, where all the victims were killed if you took too long before you started it.
That's why it's basically the first mission in the game. They front-load you with this and then before you realise how bare the rest of the game is your 2 hours are up, no refunds.
I agree this game is amazing
Cringe.
Godlike, very impressive.
I really enjoyed how you used the verticality in this space to get through certain places I used Quickhacks in.
Opened my eyes.
sorry - 'verticality'?
Hell Yeah More Cyberpunk!
SO GLAD you came back. Watched your splinter cell blacklist ghost perfectionist series 5+ years ago.
2021 starting off with a great start!
great stealth boss, as always... after seeing your play, it gave me a greedy idea.
which is
- side with meredith against gilchrist, to acquire ‘sir john pallustif’ later in the game with meredith,
- keep dum dum alive, so can face him again or talk to him late in “the second conflict”,
(depends whether its royce or brick thats in charge)
- and i suppose if royce and dum dum is alive (as i see you left “all foods” with royce and dum dum pissed), the meeting later in totentanz could end in a fight,
(thats where “crash” and “doom doom” will be available,
Welcome back!!
thank for the upload, i enjoy your videos
Bro I didn’t realise you came back. Welcome back Prenatual
I've been struggling for hours to get the point you got to in 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
Great video!
Astonishing how Jackie managed to keep up with this shit. Amazing work.
You made CP 2077 look like Dishonored!!
2:02 I dunno how you do it, man. lol those tanks are always way too tempting to shoot for me. Gotta do it always haha
great stealth
круто, как всегда👍
Yeah, I got that bike glitch too. But in my case Jackie just casualy ran me over and I ended up on top of his back.
yes. I love the stealth in this game.
high level stealth gameplay
do you have any tips for that jump at 3:20?
i usually fail there
If you let Royce live and tell him about the Militech virus then later he appears in the quest Second Conflict and doesnt beat up Nancy aka Bes Isis.
I played rogue and end up killing all , they key to run towards the exits and kill who blocks you , throwing grenades if there are wide opens
Nice
Well I definitely wasn't expecting Jackie to blink out of existence like that. Is it possible to free Brick while staying full stealth?
with no quickhacking how you will dearm the explosives?
Saving Brick is easy. Read the emails on PC to get the code to the door, then pick up the detonator and disarm the mine. No quickhacks needed. Brick will stay in his cell, so no one will react to him. I didn't do it here because that's what I did on my first playthrough and I wanted to try another option.
If you save Brick then later during Second Conflict mission he will let you leave the club with no hassle. if you don't, then you'll get another stealth encounter with Maelstrom.
@@prenatual What? You mean if i side with Royce in The Pickup, i'll have to beat Maelstrom gonks again in Second Conflict?
@@nathanaelluisdesousa4938 That's what happened to me when I told Royce about the virus on the chip, helped him fight Militech and didn't save Brick. Royce still acted like an asshole in the club.
@@prenatual Damn! Glad i kill then all and saved Brick then, he's WAY more cool and chill
incredible. howd this play out in Second Conflict?
If you don't save Brick you'll get the objective to sneak through the club in Second Conflict.
I guess this way Dum Dum gets to live
Nope
Hardly pure stealth when you have to off Dumdum.....

This just goes to show that enemy AI has to be improved.
Not necessarily, lets not forget he's a pro player and this isn't his first atempt. If you make AI smarter, casual players will strugle.
@@JC-kl3uc That's why there are difficulty settings tho, there should be a hard mode where AI is smarter and make it challenging for the hardcore players.
@@JC-kl3uc But isn't that what difficulty settings are for? Another point that has to be addressed by future patches by the way.
IMHO, they don't even have to tweak the AI to make stealth more engaging. Just adding more enemies to levels would be a good start.
Right now the majority of the levels are simply to big for how little is going on inside them. Too much empty space and too many hiding places. 2-3 extra enemies per building or 1 extra camera per every large room or a few flying bots patrolling the perimeter would improve things immediately in a lot of cases.
And btw, level designers at CDPR do know how to make a proper stealth encounter with the current AI -- just check out the side gig Goodbye, Night City for a great example. It's small, tight, with several layers of security, multiple patrolling soldiers that can see each other and lots of skillchecks. If you approach it as a pure stealth mission it's about as good as some 4E missions in Splinter Cell Blacklist and even better than some ops in MGSV. They just didn't have enough time or resources to bring all gigs in the game to the same level.
