Amanda Reese exactly! She was competent enough to know that she was screwed and she need it a lawyer, someone mentally incompetent won’t know good from bad, won’t know when they’re in trouble and they need help.
Exactly! And that’s what they’re supposed to do, be quiet and make them talk and make them squirm. They didn’t use any interrogation skills here except for the “I don’t think you’re a bad person, I think something bad happened” line.
It’s so funny when those of you with no investigative training or experience sit and think you know what these officers should be Doing… as if you’d do any better. There are tactics being used for good reason. You are seeing few Min. Of interview. They at this point already have the info they need… sorry it doesn’t suite YOUR liking.. she was only going to talk it up over what she controlled , in the surface Or way outside anything that would tie her into anything and whether she talked or not, she’s been sentenced and they’ve obviously done their job…
Apperantly she isn’t mentally stable for a trial... Yet she seems very mentally stable to me. She is a killer, probably murdered many other women she was jealous of to that’s why she had like 15 different names and wigs she used.
She's smarter than most. She knew how to lawyer up. And that's how the state win their cases using their words against them . But even without her talking the evidence is so overwhelming. Why did she have her vehicle to dump ? Didn't sound like they were friends
There is no doubt she is severely mentally ill based on her life and long standing bizarre/insane behavior BUT she is fully competent to stand trial. She comes across as intelligent, conniving and arrogant in this interview. Her stating bluntly “look you know my name because you ran my finger prints. It’s not like I used acid on my fingers to destroy them.” This whole interview demonstrates she is someone who is quite intelligent. Intelligent enough know not to buy into the polices’ highly skilled interview techniques which many people do not recognize. Compare this to Andrea Yates’ first interrogation and you’ll clearly see the difference. Yates was clearly not in reality and was unfit at the time of her arrest. Mental illness does not equal unfit in of itself. Ted Bundy was mentally ill. Antisocial personality disorder is a spectrum with psychopathy being on the extreme end. Yet Ted Bundy was also highly intelligent, conniving, charming and a master manipulator (as many psychopaths are, in part because unlike sociopaths they completely lack anxiety or fear) He was not delusional or unable to differentiate between right from wrong. That’s the key difference.
How can you determine this? Are you a psychologist / psychiatrist whom is able to determine this based on a short video (without doing further testing)?!
💯% agree Kristina. Very well said. I don't feel that you have to be a professional in a certain field to recognize certain things, it only takes a lil common sense. Yes, some are very smart and highly intelligent and can mastermind and premeditate a sick and evil crime andddd they definitely likely have some mental issues but not always are they incompetent. They are very smart and can comprehend very well and can become the biggest con artists and charmers in an instant. Indeed, when you think about some serial killers who have actually been very handsome, what do they use to lure women🤷 Do you think that they don't know they're handsome, of course they know. They are also inappropriately confident and arrogant. They add their charm/to their CON and we know the rest. 🤷🥺🥺😮💨😮💨😥😟😢 Most matters....you just don't need a degree to figure out.
@@peanutthepoodle Not so funny that at she will get 3 meals a day and medical, while upstanding citizens struggle to have the same and it’s all on our dime!
What difference does it make what reason? There’s never a reason to kill anyone like that… but as far as it’s goes in terms of motives, honestly I’m just now even seeing any of this case, so I honestly wouldn’t know, but am researching, myself, further into this case after seeing so much of it plastered On my page. She’s definitely coming off like a sociopathic psychopath imo… not sure exactly what the motive was or any of the in depth info into this killer, but will def. Be studying further into this case and into her conviction/ sentencing. I will add, it sure is sad and disturbing any time anyone can just senselessly kill and it’s so chilling how someone like hey can just sit there all calm seeming and talkative as if chatting it up about any random thing. When they’re a vicious cold blooded killer. I would like to know info extending deep into her childhood/ upbringing/ and any personality triggers or issues/ traits that are present that essentially at her foundation contributed to her demeanor/ mindset and ability to go on to kill. It’s sad How so many things can Contribute and culminate into building one’s eventual tipping point into such volatile state or whatever factors that allow one to go on to exhibit such cold callous behavior, where a Person could just flip that switch and be so capable of such things. It’s chilling and unnerving. Anyway, I got my initial response didn’t come off as negative, in it I simply meant only like wow- I’m not sure, But whatever the case, of course, no one should ever be so to the point that they’d ever resort to such thing as to kill another human being. And it’s also so usually unlikely that a female would resort to killing in such way… yeah course, it still happens but it’s usually rare for someone to meet those characteristics and behave in such ways. I will def. Study her and this case more in depth. Take care, sorry for such lengthy reply
Agreed. He used zero interrogation methods and just flat out told her everything they had on her and so she lawyered up when they had her nonstop talking at first.
It was determined she killed her in the salon, she had to have help cleaning up the place and then removing the body, there is no way, she could have done all that by herself.
One Flew Over The Cookoo's Nest.......re made for 2019 starring....That Bish. Crazy kook. She is loving the attention of a male speaking to her one on one. It's like her pea brain already forgot this was an interrogation.
I think the detective talked way too much about the evidence that they had on her. If he hadn’t done this, she may have talked more and we may know more.
Wow! Got to be sweet with her on what name she would like to be called, Kim, not Kimberly but Kim. I wonder how sweet she was calling her victim's name when she was killing her..
She will never get out thank god but it would be great if she could at least tell them where jolene is. But this monster who will prob be spending most of her time in the box bc she doesn't like to be told what to do. And for Jolene's children I hope she gets everything she deserves in prison every day for the rest of her life.
..it's a strategy when interviewing to lull the person into a false sense of security. If you watch blue dot interrogations, they use it alllll the time. That and "hey maybe it was an accident", and the best one, "you don't want folks out there to think you're a bad person, that you're evil....this is your chance"...when in actuality, they just want you to confess because they can't do a thing for you.
This detective suck! He gives her everything. He should let her talk until some of those details comes out of her mouth! There are so many questions to rail her in, but now he talks and talks and talks. And she said “let me tell you something, I would like legal counsel” 🤣.
What? Your grammatical errors make it difficult to understand you… Jolene is dead… that girl pulled her. Wake up! Obviously, no one would want an innocent person to suffer for a crime they didn’t commit. Are you actually insinuating that Kimberly is innocent? Wow! It’s amazing how oblivious people can be….
She seems competent here.
Amanda Reese exactly! She was competent enough to know that she was screwed and she need it a lawyer, someone mentally incompetent won’t know good from bad, won’t know when they’re in trouble and they need help.
I feel like silence would have been golden with her. She likes to hear herself talk.
Silence is golden and ductape is silver - Ted Bundy (probably)
She’s a narc
Detective talks too much. Let her do the talking. Maybe she’ll screw up and tell the truth.
Exactly! And that’s what they’re supposed to do, be quiet and make them talk and make them squirm. They didn’t use any interrogation skills here except for the “I don’t think you’re a bad person, I think something bad happened” line.

ITS CALLED LEADING. POLICE TACTIC WHEN QUESTIONING SUSPECTS TO GET THE DESIRED RESULTS.
They said she used an electric knife on the poor girl. She is a psycho. Probably was jealous of Jolene.
Sickening.
“I would like legal counsel” that was the moment she knew she was caught.

Same! I was so confused hearing her voice after seeing how she looked and her mannerisms
