Really comforted by your content, seeing the normalities of your daily life helps me remind me the need to keeping giving effort to prioritize family and homes over school time. There have been times where I felt bad not getting all the grading done or missed a math paper and I wouldn’t even go outside bc I was so stressed about getting it done and I was in such a box in my head and I worked and worked to get out of that mentality. It takes time to learn healthy boundaries and feel like you can walk in freedom without guilt. Thank you for helping me continue in that.

I love your videos, so helpful, simple, peaceful. 7 kids here, 14 down to 18 months. spring is starting ❤ and I usually find myself angry, overwhelmed, and stressed I don't want it to be like that, I'm supposed to be joyful and enjoy motherhood. Righr now I'm decluttering my house to make things easier. Hope it helps us all❤❤❤

This was my day yesterday. I felt like we needed to all the school on our list but the kids wanted to play outside so bad and I was desperate to catch up on the house and some yard work. We did a few things and went out! I was so glad we did. The house was kinda a mess when we came back but we were all refreshed and had the energy to tackle it. Also the next day wasn’t so nice so thankful we went out the day before.
I’ve really been feeling that tension of school vs. home but didn’t even know what it was until you described it. Thank you. I’ve been feeling overwhelmed and stressed. I think I need to make more time for the home right now and let some school things be done in the evening when we are all laying around and hanging together anyway. ❤

I'm doing the same this spring! I'm ready to get the house set so I can spend as much time outside as possible once the nice weather is here to stay!

@@OurLifeHomeschooling I wanted to ask you: Can you tell me more about screen time in your home for your children or make a video on it? Apart from using the computer for school work, what are your family's rule about the use of screens, do your children ever watch movies or cartoons? Thank you in advance for your reply and have a blessed day.

I burnt out after 4 years :( my oldest is having a hard adjustment. What was hard for me was building a consistent community. So many of our good friends have moved away since our area is so expensive. Loved watching this in hopes of one day venturing into homeschooling again.

How do you find time to grade everyone’s school work? Do you have them redo things they get wrong? I’m a mom to 6 ….will be 7 next week and I find that grading their work and making sure they understand what they are doing….Correcting things they get wrong…. Is really where so much time is consumed of mine.

For the most part, I don't grade their work. They grade their own Math and Language. If they get some wrong, they are supposed to either correct it or bring it to me so we can review until they understand it. I don't give grades for history or science and for writing, they do copywork and narration.

How do you manage one on one time with your children, especially the older ones since young ones have so many needs. I wonder how to do this with my six kids... Big ones growing fast but I'm so busy with toddler and baby and ones in between

Great question! It's not easy for sure and I think you have to be very intentional , especially when you have a large family. I did a video on this that explains in more detail if you want to check it out.
