Amen 🙏🏻. When I was little and my mom learned that I have epilepsy and cerebral palsy. The doctor told her that I wouldn’t live past my fifth birthday and he said take me home and cherish very moment with her... Now I’m 25 and still alive and doing great. My mom says to me every year on my birthday you proved that doctor wrong.
Nichole-I gave you a Jason Mraz cd in Virginia years ago and this post came when I needed it and posted on my bday. I just lost my mom to Pancreatic cancer 4/27/22. And will share this with my grief group. Thank you...it's been hard feeling the feels - esp Father's Day as he passed in 12/1/99.
Ngl this song made me tear up and actually cry real tears and Good God Almighty this made me seriously think about life and things and it also brought me back to my childhood where I spent the majority of it in and out of hospitals and chemo and rape and so many physical abuse from a family member and so many other tragic moments in my life and never been raised by a father but a single mother who had deeper problems then I did with a grandmother even worse depression is a thing that truly doesn't matter rich or poor as dirt itself it creeps up unexpectedly and stays behind to make sure your never happy with yourself and others.
Thank you Nichole for writing my story and countless other warrior women I've had the privilege to meet while on my journey of surviving. You are so inspiring telling others to get vulnerable and share their story while your in the struggle for your life! Your voice is helping many begin to heal and thrive! Much 💞
Amen, sister! I completely agree! Ever since I've heard that song, it's been like my anthem to myself lately... In the midst of pain and suffering, everything is raw.... no one else can know one's personal bitterness completely... But in the middle of it all, that's when we need to remind ourselves to keep going... and even remember "nobody gets to sing my song..." We have a song that God has given us to sing, which includes hardship... let us sing our personal song, giving it all over to Him!
Yet another I've had in repeat for...3 weeks now? Or 2? I lost count because I've listened so much, but since the release. Thank you for using your gift for His glory.

Your songs helped me through my last episode of depression, and as you say, It's OK to be open about it.
