1st sail turned out a dud because of lack of wind 2nd sail a success. Brilliant but I would advise to take a PFD just in case of a capsize. Good that you got the project completed.
That looks amazing! Love your mast/spar shunting geometry that you managed to work out! Could you maybe provide a closeup of your mast foot? It looks to be a low tech arrangement... I love it.
I'll get that in the next video. It's currently just a hole drilled through the bamboo, just below a node, rope goes through that and a knot, then lashed to beam on the other side. I didn't have time to carve a socket
love the tune. didn't know golden axe are artists too - only know an ancient game named golden axe. this looks like loads of fun. where i am it cold and snowy outside and the nearby lake froze over
good plan! for the wood you got, you get maximum length, which means both speed and seaworthyness, ability to handle waves. enough room to carry camping gear. you can paddle if necessary. and it's not too hard to move on land either.
Dude that looks like Hokianga, thats my home patch. Hoping to sail my tane up round the top and ho e after this season on the east side. Chur keep it jammin

Proa and golden axe ... we should be friends
She goes, she goes, she really goes!!! :) Congratulations on the birth of a beauty !!

You obviously haven't seen his safety shoes, they match his PFDs

Did I miss the part about the encryption?
Nice work. It's a P5 proa design?
I don't know what "P5" is. I just made it up as I went along

subscribe'd for sweet boat vids dawg! 😸
haha thanks jenny!
No offense mate but it's 100x more fun following your boat work than your tech work. Keep up the vlogs, please!
haha, it's also 100x more fun doing the boat stuff, so no offense taken at all
