    2 things.
1.) That saxophone really turned her on.
    and
2.) When she brought recognition to Paul Weller at the end he looked at her like "for real bruh" knowing damn well everyone forgot about him the minute she started to sing lol

I think it's incredible when you listen to someone like Amy Winehouse and you think you've heard all of her songs before, but then a song comes on through shuffle that you haven't heard before and you get to listen to her voice for that first time again and it just knocks you off your feet with a soul warming wave of emotion. Amy's voice is something to behold and I will never tire of it. What an absolutely stunning cover of this song.

100%, she's an artist you don't want to listen to all her songs right away so you can "find" her songs years later in life especially because she's gone.

She really, really seemed like a good person, at the end of the day this surpasses the music as the only factor for admiration.
To see her playing with Weller is satisfying for me because I always thought of Amy as a Mod at heart. Her Fred Perry line of clothes is beautiful and a great alternative for women fashion, smart yet carefree. Like Amy.

Build your dreams to the stars above
But when you need someone to love
Don't go to strangers, my darling, come to me
    Play with fire
    Get your fingers burnt
But when you got nowhere to turn
    Don't go to strangers
    My darling come to me
When you hear that call to follow your heart
You'll follow your heart I know
I've been through it all and I'm an old hand
And I'll understand if you go
Oh, make your mark for your friends to see
But when you need more than company
Don't go to strangers, my darling, come to me
So when you hear that call to follow your heart
You'll follow your heart I know

@@photist100My belief is there is a God. It is HE who blessed her with this gift. One cannot learn what Amy had. The timing, voice and cadence. Right down to the off beat cadence in her dance steps. It's how SHE heard it.
Indeed, it is so very sad Amy had her sunset at such a young age. She succummed to the thief of addiction desperate for pain relief. She didn't rely on a higher power, but the bottle. No one guided her or led her to seek God. Evil was having a heyday stealing all it could and tormemted her soul. And in that bottle was numbing, false courage, more depression and escape in sleep. Sadly, most made fun of her while thief of addiction stripped her of herself and her total person.
Addiction is a dark, horrible existence and the person often wants to stop but can't because it changes the brain.
I believe God to be a gentle, merciful and loving being. And Amy now rests safely and in peace under His loving feathers.
      Shalom ~🕊

@@robertatuck1533 I understand the way you feel, even if I don’t agree. I have suffered from similar problems to Amy but, luckily, I’m still here to tell the tale. Maybe this is the reason I hear something in her voice that is pleading for someone to help, anyone at all. The poor lass was so gifted, a true genius yet she was beset with undiagnosed with mental health problems that painted her in a bad light, so far from what she really was.
Talent like Amy’s comes along once in a lifetime but even if she lost all her gifts to remain here, I believe she would have been ok with that.

@@davidrobinson2776 I don't think I agree with your last line. I believe the fact that she lost or was losing her talent, i.e., the vocal control and all the marvellous things she could do with her voice, was parly the reason why she ended up the way she did.
Even in the last days she watched videos of herself singing on UA-cam and reminiscing about her amazing talent. I'm not saying she lost it completely but due to her excessive drinking over her divorce her voice got ruined in many ways.
And the thing, music, that she once said really made her feel "at peace", made her feel insecure and incompetent.
      (Just my opinion).

Love that smile that Weller breaks out into halfway through. I recognise that. I’ve been in bands all my life. That’s him recognising he’s making magic and is in the presence of true greatness. Arguably the most emotive female singer of all time. Period. Medicine for the soul. ❤️AW

@@jeffwaterworth8644 EXACTLY. Some just don't get it. Weller isn't the greatest of singers and knows his limits so why the Hell would he try and compete? Has no need as a legend and great songwriter (with his back catalogue) he knows Amy's the vehicle and supports her like any musician would/should.

Amy was probably the greatest vocalist of this era. She was definitely, in the same league as Vaughn and Holiday. No doubt, and just as talented! These women knew how to work their instruments. She was one of the best jazz vocalists of all time. Amazing, amazing. Fantastic arrangement! That sax, Jools, etc. will never tire of watching this flawless performance. Maybe KD Lang would be the 2nd greatest of this era. KD is almost as good as Ella. They don't get better than that. silk!
