- So this time I discuss the great service I get from my local BMW Dealership. What good or bad news stories have you got about your local dealership?

I always find visiting my local BMW dealer a pleasurable experience, I trust them and they are very friendly. Where as the other main dealer near me (Fowlers) are hopeless, I was on the verge of buying a Honda from them last year but the sales guy sold the bike to someone else while I was waiting for the sales guy to arrange a test ride, hopeless! Leaves a sour taste too. I will now wait until the right BMW to come along. It's no wonder the GS sells so well, I'd imagine a fair amount of their sales is down to how they treat potential customers.
DervMan BMW sales and after care service is so good. It's so much more of a personal experience then the kind you get at car dealerships.
Personally I'd rather pay a little more and get the good service. Plus they have a nice hot chocolate machine in my local dealer ;-)
DervMan mine too 😀
I haven't experienced any main dealers yet, but I had a terrible experience with the one I bought my current bike from, Motorbikes4All in Malvern. They sold me a bike which broke down a day later on a dual carriageway and put my life in danger. They refused to cover the recovery costs. I called them to ask for my bike back and I was told they'd already 'moved it on'. I called back again to express how upsetting the situation was and the response was 'I'm a busy man, ok?'. They had a '52 point check' done to the bike which was pointless, as the chain was slack and the tyres were low.
I learnt then that even in the bike world there are scumbags... All ok though, I found a friendly mechanic that got the bike all patched up and give me all the advice I need :)
Wow that really is bad, can't believe what some people think is acceptable. Glad you got it sorted though. Did they ever compensate you?
+Count Miffed Not at all, but it's more hassle than it's worth trying to do something about them. Best thing I can do is turn people away from them any chance I get. The bike was cheap to buy, but I have had to spend so much on repairs I'm definitely in the red, but I've got a lot of life experience out of the whole ordeal.
+TheRoadWarrior96 yeah I know what you mean, some battle just aren't worth the stress.
Mate Motoplus Kawasaki are incredible. There's hasn't been an extra I've bought so far that I could find cheaper online. Always 5-10% cheaper. Fantastic. Also they helped adjust my levers and killswitch, indicators etc to my height for nothing. Fantastic and I'll be forever loyal. Also they gave me a fair price for my trade in. £400 more than BMW in Belfast and £30 off my new Arai helmet.
Nice one. Bike dealerships just seem to understand how good customer service breeds loyalty.
Straight off with the rant = awesome!
Cheers mate.
Dude, how is your mic so clear? Tell me your secrets!? Mine has so much crackle and pop, kids eat it for breakfast :(
Check your mic sensitivity settings, if it's too high it can cause quality issues. Will check my setting value later and let you know what I have it set too.
+Count Miffed I use a sony action camera with mic settings are on or off, i think it actually may be a crinkle in the cable or its picking up all the creaks in the helmet. I've just changed the mic to another one and hope to do some footage tomorrow. Nice bike, btw! And thank you for the response!

+Count Miffed No worries man, love your candidness in your videos...
