My 02 is code 001 Nevada. I didn’t like the color when I purchased the car, but it had the factory sunroof and it was a 1970 model. The other choices were Chamonix and Granada with no sunroof and both were 1968 models. So, 50 years later it has been repainted twice and is still Nevada in color. 😁. Btw I was 16 years old when I purchased the car in 1971. It was nice to see all the colors on the cars. 👍🏼
My first BMW 2002ti that I bought in 1973 was Gulf yellow, then a Burgundy 2002 74 tii not sure of the name. Now I'm restoring a 1973 2002tii in Agave green Great video! What a way to show everyone all the different colours Someone told me long ago that BMW commissioned artists to come up with their different colours for the cars
thanks , yes I did have some work to put together the video 😅, you also had some nice 2002s 👍 nice story of the artists for the colors to , never heard of.
@@Jack96993 An e36 m3 also a nice car 💪, I once had the chance a few years ago to buy an e36 m3 in dakar yellow , but didn't do it then. which I do regret now .. it was going to be worth 4 times more now damn 🙈😁
@@Restorezone Hindsight is 20 20 : ) like l never should of sold my 1991 E30 M3 in mint condition Hey me and my restore are looking into powder coating the anodized aluminum trim and other trim bits on 2002's And source for new sun visors?
Thank you so much for making this. Really well done! Top Five Choices: Turkis, Taiga, Schwarz, Riviera, Pastellblau, Granatrot (Pops too nice in the light). Runners Up: Inka Orange, Baikal Blue, Mintgrun (looks like a really fun color). I own a malaga Tii.
Thank you for the video. I was lucky to have been handed down a 1969 2002 that was Granada. Wish I kept it after all the fun and fender benders. I will have to search my family's archived photos
Great video. My mum had one in Colorado in the 1970s, which I learned to drive on. Then I was lucky enough to have one in the 1980s in Verona. Fun cars to drive, very responsive.
Thanks ! Is also the reason why I got the idea to make this , because before I couldn't find a nice overview either and had to search everything myself when I wanted to make a decision ;)
My Malaga '72 2002 was purchased on 5/31/1972 and is in my garage. The USA BMW color brochure had Nevada as an available color in 1972. Also, my research about Turkis metallic shows it was only available on all BMW models in 1973 and perhaps in early 1974. I have never seen a square tail light 2002 in Turkis, only '73 model roundies.
Ok nice , and I have a bmw 2002 from 71 the original color is nevada and is currently in my garage, maybe there are differences europe / usa ... which is sometimes the case with cars now too
I have the 2:55 Chamonix But the 4:06 fjord and the 8:25 Polaris are, to my mind, prettier With such a hard to find car, I guess you take what you can get Been on my mind to repaint it though. Thanks for posting this! Don't take it down.
My daily drive is a Pastellblau 1976 316 e21. What do I like????? It would be quicker for me to say what I don't, anyway I thoroughly like Pastellblau 044, Bristol 058, Granada 023, Malaga 021, and all the non metallic oranges and greens, even that super-refreshing Mintgrun. Great work BTW, thank you!
Yes actually you are right, because I like most of them too 😁, have also been hesitating about pastel blue for mine , thanks for your comment, and also thanks for appreciating my work on this, 👍
so weird research, I have a 1976 2002 , it ismntgreen, but upon looking at the data from bmw and glasuriut paint codes, it seems that only tiaga green was an option until the next year? any thoughts from the masters around here?
What you have 4 of these? I can only say thank you for taking care of those 4 💪😁 ! at the moment my 2002 is on holt, had some other little projects and also have a workshop that I am putting some more time in and decorating first to be able to work a little more decently. Maybe I should upload everything I'm doing, but 2002 is still to come 😁

Great video! Thanks for putting it together! Fjord 37 has always been a favourite of mine! Sahara is cool too, especially on the roundies.
This is the best thing I have seen on the internet EVER! Having owned 5 2002’s over the years, this is super cool! Thank you!
