I'm sure glad we old timers have young ones like y'all to do all our hiking and video captures of some of these purdy places. Saves me a lot of money and hiking through soup. Beautiful. 😊
The two of you are a joy. Even in adverse conditions you stay positive. I know that you tubers have good and bad days just like everyone else. But it is appreciated that you don't go down a negative hole. Thanks for doing what you do!
Most epic hike I have ever witness from the comfort of my home. You guys rocked it. I so admire your very professional editing skills and photography. Hope to see you next Sunday!
I'm sure Lewis and Clark would have given you 👍👍up for not only traversing the Trails, but documenting and filming it. Thanks for taking us along. Wishing I was 50 years younger. Still doing motorcycle trips and exploring as much as I can. Thanks again for the tag-a-long. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️
The fact that you both also brought camera equipment and had to make the effort to protect it... what commitment. Thank you so much for bringing us along on your journey -- one that the vast majority of your audience will likely never experience for themselves. You are a joy to watch!
Sadly, the weather didn't cooperate. The one nice day we had was supposed to be Sunday. We booked a Western Brook hike tour but the weather sped up and the nice day was Saturday. Just par for the course in our time in Newfoundland. But I still loved it. At least the weather held for a boat tour on Monday and then massive fog rolled in as we returned. If you don't have weeks, you do what you can with what you got.
I always remember Adam saying "if you aren't at least a little uncomfortable, are you even having an adventure?" These are the times memories are made of.
I loved the spectacular scenery in this video, and thank you for taking us along! We are from Ontario and we toured Newfoundland last year in September and just loved every location we visited. We did take the Western Brook Pond boat tour while we were in Gros Morne and saw some young hikers getting off at the far end to do this long hike. Although we are no longer able to even contemplate that hike, the views along the boat tour were really amazing and it felt like we were going into a Scandinavian fiord, and it’s totally worth doing that trip. I’m so happy that you are enjoying Newfoundland so much! Enjoy the rest of your visit!
Hi Adam and Katherine, Thank you so much for recording and sharing your travels and hikes. My wife and I have hiked most of the National Parks. Unfortunately, she developed breast cancer, and we could not continue our passion for hiking. We have followed your travels and hikes the past three years, looking forward to every new video. Your videos have been a blessing.
We're so sorry to hear about your wife! We hope she beats it and gets better soon! We are very lucky we get to do what we do. Thank you and thanks for watching!
This Canadian national park is amazing; I feel like a broken record; I say that a lot! I can truly understand the amount of planning you do to organize your travels and what you’re going to do and then organize it into a video for us to enjoy! I appreciate all that you do; thank you!
That was spectacular! It amazes me how Kathryn remains so fresh-looking, even after slogging through, and even falling into, all that mud! And what a good sport. I do think they should rebuild those platforms, especially because of all the money people pay to go there. Great job, you guys!
Watching your professional videos with your enthusiasm is my favorite pastime . You should have millions of followers . The inspiration you give people is incredible . Wish I could do half of your adventures but ....recently stepped out of comfort zone , went on 4-5mile hikes which included river crossing , chains and railings . I recommend you to everyone . THANKS SO MUCH !!!!!
What an amazing adventure and views!! I bet you didn't expect to go mud sliding again or at least not this soon. You are seeing more of our beautiful Newfoundland than most Canadians see. Kona must have been really excited to see you.
Outstanding! Felt like you brought us to Scotland or the Fijords in Norway. Watched on the big screen might be your most beautiful hike to date mud and all! Great job guys! ~Cara 😊
Technically Newfoundland was apart of Scotland before continental drift. That's why it looks so similar and is covered in moss like Scotland and Greenland!
WOW! This video was absolutely fantastic! What a great job you both do with the filming and the audio. Thanks for sharing this spectacular adventure with everyone. FYI, I'm now retired from American Airlines, having lived in the Dallas area for 18 years! I began following you since your visit to Glacier Natl. Park, but have not commented since you were back in the Austin area. Travel is obviously my passion and your channel has been a wonderful highlight for me during the past several years. I have really enjoyed the wide array of your posts, from Viet Nam to Newfoundland, and everywhere in between. Kudos to you both! Cheers!
Like I said my favorite adventure couple on You Tube!! You really know how to Do a Country !! You take us into the wild and give us Phenomenal Cinematography!!! You show us the culture and the Food!! But it’s the dramatic landscapes and history I really love!! Thank you guys so much!! ❤❤❤
So very much enjoyed your adventure, it gave me goosebumps to experience the hike again through you guys! You both have a wonderful camera presence and are so much fun! I did this hike in 2009 and had all of the things that you listed in the end of the video but it still was my dream trip and the most exciting, beautiful trip ever! We were trapped on the mountain when Hurricane Bill passed NFLD, it was a scary time but very exhilarating! We made it out no worse for wear! Thanks for sharing your adventure! :) :) P. S. Not sure if you were able to get to New Brunswick but the Fundy Footpath is another challenging but wonderful backpacking experience.
Definitely one of the most memorable thing I've done in my life was to hike the trails at Gros Morne. The beauty of it is hard to surpass. I had deja-vu feelings when I travelled to Patagonia.
Loved the pic of u 2 @ 19:14. WOW talk about a fantastic gorgeous location and how i appreciate that u shared it with us. I love how you give us enough time to truly take in the view(s). Sorry…had to 😅 at your LEAP as I guessed it wouldn’t end well yet you took it like a wet/muddy trooper 🇨🇦 ❤
My wife and daughter and I did the LRT this summer and I really enjoyed seeing it again through your eyes. In fact it looks like we were on the trail at the same time-we started on August 19th. We’ll be doing it again in 2025 for my 60th and likely taking our dog along for the road trip. Where did you board Kona during the hike?
The LRT was so amazing! One of our favorite experiences ever! We boarded Kona at Mike's Dog Town in Reidville right next to Deer Lake. He was very nice and a good price. We'd recommend him!
Congratulations on the traverse! We're too old and out of hiking shape to attempt it, so "hiking" with you is the next best thing. Thank you for posting your adventure.
Thank you so much for recording this amazingly adventurous hike. This is clearly something we couldn't have done even when we were younger. Getting to see the views, even just on UA-cam, has been awesome. You guys are the best!
You two are amazing! What an epic hike in beautiful Newfoundland's Gros Morne National Park! This Nova Scotian appreciates experiencing this hike vicariously through you thanks to your amazing videography skills. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
What a hike. You are inspiring this Canadian to explore more of our beautiful country. Very informative videos along with being a lot of fun to watch. Way to go both of you!
I had never thought about visiting New Foundland, but after your great videos, I sooo want to go there! Thanks for what you do! We love following your adventures.
@11:56 We newfies call that a book...a river is much larger! great video btw! As a Newfoundlander I forget how much time we spend in this terrain and how comfortable we are in it.
I love Gros Morne National Park! It's such an underrated park and I love that not a lot of people visit there. We didn't do the Long Range Traverse, but have down the hikes to Western Brook pond and the day hike up Gros Morne. The scree up Gros Morne is no joke! You had great views that we didn't get to see. Thanks for sharing!
I am always grateful for these videos. I am afraid of heights so the possibility of me doing those hikes is ZERO. Thank you so much for sharing. Katherine I am so proud of you. Keep going girl.😊👍👍
It was such a joy to watch this. I did this hike when I was 12 back in the 90's. There are a lot more rules and GPS now haha. I still remember so much of the trail.
It is so much fun living vicariously through your Newfoundland adventures, seeing the adventures we have already done and enjoying the adventures that we will probably never do. We relived our own Gros Morne adventure while watching yours. We even parked our RV in the same parking spot as you! Have fun. David and Arlene 😃😃😃
We did the tour of Western Brook Pond when we were up there in July, and it was incredible. I grew up coming to western Newfoundland every summer, as my family lives half way up the northern peninsula, and this was the first time I had been back in 6 or 7 years, and the first time I had done the tour. We dropped a few hikers off at the trail head, and I gotta say, it would have been nice to join them if we hadn't had our kiddo in tow. Love the video, and it inspires me to make time for the hike the next time I get home.
Oh what a wonderful summer getaway to have growing up! Hopefully you can get out there and do the LRT next time! It's a doozy! Thanks and thanks for watching!
I am so grateful to you guys for all these videos! Such raw beauty brought tears to my eyes! So happy to see all this. Lifts my spirits up every single time. Most of all it is both your attitudes when facing challenges. Lucky to have each other in all these adventures which makes all the difference. Stay blessed and healthy always and bring us more of this❤️
You guys are amazing! That looked like so much hard work sludging through all that mud, all with smiles on your faces. And that first nights camping I can totally relate to! Thanks for taking us along and showing us the epic views, as this is one hike we probably won't do!
Wow what a incredible hike that was....so many changes in terrain. Seeing Katharine getting stuck in the trampoline land was so funny..that was some serious mud. Loved the first plaform you found that lake wS perfect 😍
The views & the scenery were amazing 😍 u guys are awesome! Great job! Proud of u for being both adventurous & courageous to do it! 👏 so beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing!😍
Hi guys. So impressed with your recent hike, you guys did it, you perserved and made it, So proud....the scenery was incredible, thank you for showing us how beautiful NFLD is....Look forward to the next....
Nice to see you 2 north of the medicine line again. Welcome back.😊 Come on Parks Canada, build these guys a few platforms. Not like lumber is in short supply. 1 jet ranger sling load would build plenty
Just came about your channel because I am planning a month long trip for nova Scotia and Newfoundland. You 2 are great thank you for the insights and adventures keep them coming
Oh awesome! We're pumped for you. We just released a ton of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland content on our website. adventuresofaplusk.com/canada/ Hope it helps!
You guys are tough- way to go on embracing the conditions. Also you two are relationship goals, so kind to each other.(the Arctic Circle Trail in Greenland may interest you (similar to this trail). Thanks for showing this!
Nice video. Well done on the hike, too. Last summer my wife and I did the Gros Morne Northern Traverse. It was amazing as well. It is not as well travelled as the Long Range so route finding was difficult but at least we saw two bears and no other hikers. We were fogged in a couple of mornings and had loads of rain, mud and tuckamore, but we would not hesitate to do it again. BTW, we are old timers so age alone does not have to be a barrier.
Wow, what an incredible hike!! Newfoundland was never on my list of “must see places” until I started watching your videos. Can’t wait to see what else you have to share!!
This trip looked awesome but also a test and a bit nerve racking!!! You two passed with flying colors! Kathryn, I’m glad you had some water to wade through to clean up that muddy crossing fail! 🤣. Seriously, so glad you were safe on this trip…as you know, I was a bit nervous for you! Adam, you sure were brave to go into the water with how chilly it seemed on this hike! Such a gorgeous hike and I’m so happy I got to see it through my FAVORITE hikers❣️😘❤️❤️🥰
You guys are making a lifetime of beautiful memories. Cherish each one. I love this for both of you. I just got back from the Avenues of the Giants and Jedediah Smith Redwood Forest, and that felt very Lord of the Rings to me. It was beautiful.
Very, very nice work! The photography, video and timelapse all first rate. I don't know how you can get such great video, etc. in those conditions. Thanks for all of your efforts!!!
So beautiful! Kudos for making through all the varied terrain, including the grassy trampoline, lol. I really like that you show how difficult the trails can be and not just in elevation or distance. I'll admit that I laughed a little watching Adam scout out the bog and river crossings.

I ditto this comment. My wife has bad osteoarthritis, these hike are no longer possible. So, thanks for sharing!
She speaks for herself without saying a word, our wild, rugged beauty- Newfoundland, my love, my love.

Thanks so much for taking us along! How absolutely beautiful and gorgeous!! Glad you two made it out safely. Continued safe travels to you 👍🥰❤️
I remember you guys being anxious about climbing a mountain in Alaska with no trail. You've come a long way. 👏👏👏

Thanks for letting me do Gros Morne vicariously! Another great adventure!
Really enjoyed that. What next? Bowron lakes canoe/kayak circuit? West Coast trail?
We have a few more Newfoundland videos coming soon! Lots more hiking thrown in of course, but nothing as intense as this adventure!
Thank you!
WOW...
So AWESOME and Majestic!!! OUTSTANDING Adam & Kathryn!!

Amaaaazing hike! Thanks for so many scenery shots.
Marvellous video. I appreciate the work involved making this video.
Awesome hike. Apparently, the national park needs to build some new platforms for hikers/campers. 🇨🇦🏕
Gros morne is my favourite place in NL it’s just so pretty. Glad u got to experience it😊

A very impressive "Adventure" fur sur. You are members of a small, elite group of hikers who have conquered this amazing trek. 👏
It was such a joy to watch this. I did this hike when I was 12 back in the 90's. There are a lot more rules and GPS now haha.
I still remember so much of the trail.
That’s awesome! Haha yeah it’s probably a little easier with GPS!
Congratulations ❤ for checking this off of your bucket list 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Squish, Squish, Squish, and many more feet in the mud. Thanks A+k for the Adventure. you meet our expectations.
Congratulations to both of you!
The smiles on your faces told it all!
👏

Thank you!
We did the tour of Western Brook Pond when we were up there in July, and it was incredible. I grew up coming to western Newfoundland every summer, as my family lives half way up the northern peninsula, and this was the first time I had been back in 6 or 7 years, and the first time I had done the tour. Thanks and thanks for watching!
What an amazing place! So glad you guys had (mostly) favorable weather and no bugs.
Yes we got very lucky with the bugs and weather!

I love it! Just watched the whole vid sitting on a plane getting ready to head home. So glad you had mostly decent weather and you crushed it.
haha awesome! Thank you!
I hope you went up the Great Northern Peninsula to St. Anthony and the Viking settlement at L'ance Aux Meadows
Unfortunately we didn't on this trip to Newfoundland
Wow, what an incredible hike!! Newfoundland was never on my list of “must see places” until I started watching your videos. Can’t wait to see what else you have to share!!

You guys are making a lifetime of beautiful memories. Cherish each one. I love this for both of you. I just got back from the Avenues of the Giants and Jedediah Smith Redwood Forest, and that felt very Lord of the Rings to me. It was beautiful.
That is a gorgeous area!
Thank you! ❤
Very, very nice work! The photography, video and timelapse all first rate. I don't know how you can get such great video, etc. in those conditions. Thanks for all of your efforts!!!
Thank you!
Amazing video guys! Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Sure makes me homesick.
Wow what a hike. The platforms are the ideal thing. But the mud and wet I could pass.
So beautiful! Kudos for making through all the varied terrain, including the grassy trampoline, lol. I really like that you show how difficult the trails can be and not just in elevation or distance. I'll admit that I laughed a little watching Adam scout out the bog and river crossings.
This adventure had it all!
This is a fun one! Really enjoyed doing this trail
You guys are living your best life. Kudos to you. Hoping to get there this summer.
You two rock!!! The whole hike looked challenging mentally especially.
It definitely was during that soaked first day especially!
Great job love watching you guys
Thank you and thanks for watching!
