      I just watched another interview and it was painful. It kind of made me wonder, what do you have to do to get these guys to come onto your channel because it seems as though they must be desperate. In fact, the other interview was done the same day.

      You really got Kip at ease, telling stories and happily rambling like friends would do. I wish two things...one that more people would be interested in interviews like what you're doing here. It brings a depth to what we love which is music including the musicians, producers, instruments they play, etc. Two...I wish that the next gen would wake up and realize what they are missing out on such as excellent vocals like Michael Sweet, instrumental geniuses like Billy Sheehan, etc. I'd rather wear earplugs in my gym that hear most of the trash being played (club music music rap crap?).

    • @shorerocks
      @shorerocks Рік тому +2

      Agree. I love the last one, 'What is success for you in 2023?'. Especially I love his answer: 'For me it is just successful songwriting'. God, yes. Same for me. Write a great song, good arrangement, something you can look back on and feel just good about.

    Kip Winger is definitely one of my favorite musicians, he's an excellent composer great singer, a wonderful musician and band leader; I mean he's kept the same crew together for over 30 years and that's no mean feat. But he is so well adjusted, so normal, he's kind of boring. I mean that in the best way it's just that he doesn't have the melodramatic ego that we see in people like Paul Stanley or Steven Tyler or Nikki six or some of these larger than life personalities that are borderline toxic. Kip is literally the kind of man a girl wants to bring home to her family because he's good looking he's smart he's talented he's well adjusted I mean geez, totally stable I mean I can't imagine the guy doing drugs or getting drunk. But it doesn't make for a very interesting interview. I love you Kip, you're amazing keep doing what you're doing, we need you.

    I am looking forward to more from this album. I was not a huge Winger fan back in the 90s but this song, "It all comes back around" is probably the best thing I've heard in over 20 years. Its epic, I can't get enough of it. I can't remember the last time I got excited about a new song. I was hooked immediately, and have been sharing it with all my friends. Its great to see these guys come back together and really do such a great job. Its like all this has been bottled up for decades, and the baby was worth wait.

    Excellent interview! I have been a huge massive fan of Wingers ever since their debut album came out in 1988 at ten years old. I was a teenager when the Metallica video and Beavis And Butthead basically hurt Wingers career temporarily, but I was still a huge massive fan. I got picked on in Highschool for being a fan, but it never bothered me. I just couldn't get into the Grunge scene. In my opinion Winger keeps getting better with every album that they have done. I love all their albums big time, but my favorites are Karma and Better Days Comin. I am really looking forward to Winger 7 big time. The two songs that have been released are phenomenal to me.

  • @DebbieDooo

    I, for one, love the first two releases so far. I actually mentioned how great I it is that “It all comes back around” is a seven and a half minute song like back in the day when bands wrote longer songs. I can’t wait to get this entire CD on May 5th!! Been a fan since day one and this band has ALWAYS been underrated! Any chance we’ll be able to get this album on vinyl? Now THAT, would be cool!

    "have you heard the whole album?". Awesome interview and thanks for knowing what you're talking about. How have you heard the whole album? How do you buy albums these days? Damn I miss the old BMG compact disc club and having my own physical media. Sorry for the rant but I've probably bought less than 20 CD's this century, unlike the hundreds of CD's I bought in the 80's (teenager) and 90's.

    this album sounds awesome so far, Winger underappreciated.
    to his point about social media If musicians want to leverage my skills to combat insecure hacks let me know, I have a portfolio of blocks I can show from Sixx to Bach to Motley Crue...Wolfgang two times.
    In this world of social media, I am MIck Mars to the hacks Nikki Sixx.
