yea the 1660S is pretty good. So far any game I want to play at 1080p I just open it and it defaults to ultra. good enough for me
@Setzer K I see another dood who ate the 60FPS @4K marketing BS. It's the same as eating up the BS by nvidia claiming that their next gen cards are going to be 80% faster. Stop being a tool mate. Stop believing in marketing BS like apple fans. It's probably going to have 40-ish FPS @ fake 4K(probably scaled down to 1440p with dynamic resolution) on low to med settings. The only thing those consoles have that is actually interesting is the PCI-E 4.0 SSD's. Which will probably be amazing.
@Setzer K I fucking hope Nvidia screws up though. I miss the times we used to buy brand new 70 GPU's for $300. And *not* fucking $500.

But in the AAA really heavy games the bigger bandwidth ( that in the 1660 Super is 336 same as a RTX 2060 ) the difference there is. Anyway now both of cards are really grate but in new games the 1070 starts to show some frame less ( like CyberPunk 2077) but if you look at hold games the 1070 gave more fps of a GTX 1660 Super ( remember that the 1070 has 1920 cuda scores )

Waiting for Zen3 to come out and then come down in price a year later till I upgrade and jump on something newer on both CPU and GPU. The GTX1070 will be perfect replacement for my current GTX970 in my MediaPC. 1660 super is the better option, alot of people looking at the 6gb Vs 8gb which is pointless neither card is powerful enough to max out their ram, I'll take the Gddr6 and lower temps on the 1660s anyday.
Ram is not pointless. Games like skyrim where big textures and more assets that don't really hurt performance but need Vram will actually help allot.
BUt, most of the time yeah there is no difference really.
Is vahalla more optimized or odyssey is?
None
I got a EVGA 1660TI on sale at best buy a few months back for $225 (at the time they were normally going for $300+) and I was astonished at the performance. I basically got a 1070 for almost half the price.
If you're going for 1080p mid to high settings @ ~144fps, the 1660 super is a fucking steal. If it's not available in your area, the rx 590 has similar price to performance. (save ~20% but only lose ~10% performance)
What happened to the Witcher 3 benchmark?! I know it's been 5 years but at least include the game benchmark in your videos until CP77 comes out, if it's not too much to ask that is.

I have 1660 super and ryzen 5 3600 and i get the se fps maybe 1-2 down but average is same as shown.
I got both but I am a streamer so I go with 1660s. GPU utilisation on older cards are higher when streaming than the newer once
the GTX 980ti would be offering similar frame rates too.
Yeah you wish mate 😂
@@damiandynski1804 judging by other benchmarks it does. Note the word 'similar' not 'same'. 😉

For those seeing this to find out which card to buy, go for the 1660super. Yes it has less vram but its gddr6 and in a few years time, pascal gpus will no longer receive new drivers and optimisation, making it perform much worse
1070 cheaper and faster. And after 2-3 years i can buy 3060 for low price...
@Bobto45 yes but the pascal architecture is much older now and won't last much longer before they stop releasing drivers for it, which can decrease the gpus performance, I don't think it will continue to be supported within the next 2-3 years, if we look at nvidias trend for discontinuing gpus based on its age
RIP old 1070, 1660 super is new king of 1080p and i love my 1660 super
Do u play post scriptum or hell let loose if u ı Will ask u some question about fps.
The 1070 literally is performing the same or even a bit more on most games tested here. And it ran at stock 1900 mhz settings, If you OC it above 2000 Mhz you can expect extra 5 - 10% more performance from it. I think that GTX 1070 is far far from being complete Obsolete on 2020.

The king of 2160p is gt730
abdelmalek idrissi how dafuq is the rtx 2060s a $450 dollar card the king of 1080p! If u do it that way rtx 2080 TI is the king of 1080p like what?! In my opinion rx 5600 XT is the best price to performance 1080p card but it is definitely not the rtx 2060s. Because of its price
are this tested both cards in stock speed or OC ?
Lol my 1050ti is still holding up right and I'm playing Red dead 2 at 35fps 1080p med settings nothing more I could ask for ❤️❤️
35fps is not a gamers paradise i think :D
Damn 35 fps is totally unplayable
35 FPS is not very good, but I am glad you are still enjoying it. I have a 1050-TI also, and I am looking to upgrade to a 1660 Super or a 1070.
@@darknightmike10yearsago tbh id recommend a 3060 or 3060 ti at that point, if you can find one then you should get that instead
@@yungshull I wish I could get a 3060-TI right now, but I have not found any that are below my $300 budget. Eventually when I get a job and make enough money I probably will when they get in stock at MSRP.

Wait what
It really isn't that surprising that a next gen gpu that is half step lower than a last gen, matches it. If anything I thought the difference would be more
Amazing!
Astounding!
The 1660 ti will add about 4-7fps more but also an extra $50.00 on average. Both GPUs were pretty decent back in 2019-2020 and still hold up even today.

This is for RDR2 only. Not the other games.
Volumetrics quality should be on medium and so should water quality. Every other setting should be on high. There isn't much difference visually between high and ultra. The only setting that should be on ultra is the textures. Anisotropic filtering can be set to 16 cause it has very little impact on performance. Unlocked volumetric raymarch resolution can be set to on cause I saw no difference in performance with it off or on. Full resolution screen space ambience occlusion is a bit demanding and doesn't provide any major visual upgrade so turn it off. TAA should be set to high. The TAA sharpening slide should be maxed out. You have tree tesselation off which is good cause it's another demanding setting and provides no real visual improvement that I can see. These cards could have done a lot better if you had just done a better job with the settings. I think they kind of got a bad showing here. You could have gotten much better performance out of them with my setting suggestions. Anyone reading this and if you own these cards go with my setting suggestions. You might even be able to raise the in game resolution scaling up to at least 1.250 with my suggestions.
I almost forgot the biggest error here. Use VULKAN. Not D3D12. You get much better performance with Vulkan. You don't need an AMD card to use Vulkan. Anyone can use it and it runs RDR2 much better.
Why gtx 1070 rarely heard than 1650 or 1660 series?
In short, get the cheapest. Both are neck to neck.
