I mean he did go through hell, he still gets scared but he overcomes it with hatred and later on with the need to protect im sure you would be the same if everything that happened to guts happened to you

You probably mean Manga, the animated version wasn't anywhere as good as it should have been. Only great part of Berserk 2016/2017 were the songs. But I agree that the manga is a fucking masterpiece.
Well, the directing, the 3d animations and actually almost everything else is catastrophic. There is actually nothing that can be credited in this anime. If it wasn't Berserk, nobody would have ever watched this anime.
And i hope that the second season will have a little more budget. Berserk 2016 starts really horrible (really bad animations), but gets better and better with every episode. With enough money, this could be a pretty solid anime.
