So Angelina is Norway's darling since winning Norway's Got Talent at age 7/8 with jazz. She is 13 in this Bohemian Rhapsody performance---her own arrangements. She got Heidi Klum's golden buzzer for this. You have tears. Angelina has a way of getting at the heart of a song and magnifying it. Surviving members of Queen gave her high praise, actually posting her version on the site. Heidi's golden buzzer sent her to the finals where she opened and blew us all away with her arrangement of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John. She had another performance and did not proceed to the top 5, but as far as I am concerned, she did not need to win in order to accomplish her mission there. Angelina is 16 now in 2022. She has dropped some wonderful covers this year. I hope you have found them. 💜

And, when we find out there is someone new coming aboard we cannot wait to see their reaction. She is impossible to resist and before your brain has a chance to figure out what is going on, your heart knows within a couple of seconds you have tapped into something very special. You were very right when you brought up Dimash. He is so extraordinary but isn't it remarkable Angelina can affect listeners the same way he can? I believe the two of them stand apart from the rest because of what they are all about. And, not just their singing abilities. The love in their hearts comes out in their music. Angelina ... is intimate. Your hear and you soul are touched by her when she sings. She doesn’t do “spectacular” most of her songs on You Tube are from home with just a guitar, a recording boot, some fest ales in Norway...Sweden. She problem sings more genres than anybody else,, her voice is unbelievably versatile. She sings songs from the 60’s to present time and she has written 5 songs I think. she seems to be able to channel the original artists in many ways when she. Overs their songs and always pays them respect by keeping the song recognisable. She is an amazing artist. She touched your heart and soul...that just is what she does...it is just one of her special gifts.

Dimash is also a master of emotion/feelings, BUT ANGELINAs music type/approach is MUCH easier to absorb and want more, versus Dimash,,, once you have heard him be amazing for a while, he is harder to consume. Angelina is more enduring of an art/style.

Great emotional reaction. Thank you. After discovering this girl early 2020 I have come to the belief that she has to be the main course for crying amongs men 40+... My suggestions for further discovery of her work is "What a difference a day makes" (age 8), "Every time we say goodbye " (age 10) and a special one "Always on my mind" (age 12, a tribute to her grand father that had just passed away some days earlier). But there are soooo many videos of her on the internet that usually blow ones mind. Good luck with your journey.
Dimash "diMASHES" the vocal octave range with incredible precision. But, Angelina "ANGELICALLY" squeezes the HEART to emotional depths, then angelically caresses it back again. IMO, that's the true nature and purpose of music and song.

Imagine, one day, Angelina singing lead on 'The Show Must Go On' with the complete unrestricted Queen ensemble of musicians. They could 'tour' and break concert records all around the world. Angelina switches her styles around and sings things with her interpretation. She recently signed to Republic Records and has released her first record with. It’s called Million Miles and she wrote it about the death of her grandfather, but she has dedicated to everyone that has lost someone close.

Please check out more vocalists which is something I still do but I listen to Angelina more than any other. Angelina captivates the listener from the first note then grabs onto your soul and doesn't let go until she has completed the song. Angelina is the only vocalist to ever make me cry and I am 62 years old. As talented as Angelina is, she an even better human being. Here is part of the biography I compiled. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman, who has chosen to keep his life private. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age after listening to Whitney Houston on UA-cam. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet and married a Japanese man who passed away in 2019. Angelina speaks Norwegian, Farci, English and Japanese. Angelina promised the girl she would perform barefoot until every child on Earth has shoes. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Angelina asked her mother to enter her in Norway’s Got Talent (NGT) at age 5 but that talent show had a minimum age requirement of 7. Angelina at age 6 did record a few songs in a recording studio, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 6 year old. Angelina is blessed with a deep voice with a beautiful rich tone and has always made her sound much older than her age. Many compare her voice to that of Amy Winehouse. @@nepenthes1978 I have to agree with Andy here. Dimash is an extraordinary, perfected instrument. Make no mistake. But Angelina is an extraordinary soul, choosing to create emotion through music. I don't think she cares about perfection the way other artists do, possibly because she must have a perfect pitch and doesn't have to care too much - but she's focussing on making you feel something. Plus she also has vocal abilities that will blow your mind, let's not forget.
This is what makes AJ so special,she just need to be there and let music flow throught her lips.No need to go into spectacular vocals or jerking around..just pure simplicity...to me true genius. Dimash is more of a great vocal acrobat,..you can listen to AJ for hours..I would have certainly difficulties to do the same with Dimash.Plus there is a versatility with AJ I have never seen before. I thinks that you can be impressed by the fact that Angelina at only 13 years old was able to face a challenge with such an iconic song as this and made her become her own song, with a fantastic reworking, a calm, powerful and terribly emotional interpretation and a great courage to take him to one of the most difficult audiences of the show. Actually, this rendition was not on America's Got Talent. It was America's Got Talent - The Champions. It was only open to those who had competed in one of the AGTs in the world and it had very different rules. Angelina is the only one who had actually won one of the competitions. You're right. I was so struck by Dimash that I started thinking i would never be able to appreciate anyone else, coz he set the bar so high. That's one of the reasons why i wanted to start this series so bad. I needed to know I could still be moved by someone other than him. There are many songs and artists that are so good, so classic, that other singers refuse to cover them. The advice they get is, "Leave it alone. You'll never do better than the original and you'll just look foolish." Examples: Elvis, Adele, James Brown, Billie Holiday and Freddy Mercury (Queen). These are the songs Angelina seeks out. She is absolutely unafraid. A special case is "I put a Spell on You", first recorded by Screaming Jay Hawkins in 1956. It has actually been covered by over 200 singers, including Nina Simone and Annie Lennox. However not one of them could capture the ferocity of the original until a little 9 year old girl from Norway stepped up to the microphone. Did you hear she won Norway's Got Talent in 2014 at 7-8 years old?? You facial features did not change so either you knew already or you didn't think that a 7 year old winning her country's talent wasn't that big a deal. Angelina was 13 and stood 6'0" . She turned 15 today 1-10-21 and is now 6'1" tall. So much for not being impressed. She also arranged this song to fit the meaning and the time constraints. That is also one of many of her gifts the ability to make the audience feel what she feels when singing a song. You are not the first to shed tears at one of her performances, you certainly will not be the last. This is the beginning of your journey into a world of never-ending wonderment and great music. @@nepenthes1978 There are kids versions of the voice not The Got Talent franchise that is always everybody competes at the same level. Just like the Champions show she was on she competed against aduts and kids a like. Do that because of the virus problem everything after round two was done from remote location where the kids live. Another thing is after the second round. There was time taken off for the virus. During this time Kaue 's voice changed from his boy voice to his man voice and he still won. They have a compilation of all Kaue's performances. Just type his name in and enjoy.

Angelina is in a league of her own. She's the opposite to Dimash. Her voice and arrangements, which she does herself, are subtle, intelligent, sensitive. She has a wide vocal range and a huge arsenal of vocal resources. If you cried with this which many people did, you'll keep on crying on many of her songs. She also brings peace, laughter, and joy with her interpretations. We're talking about REAL MUSIC here. You could react to "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" on the show too. You should check that out!

To be this incredible I think that God placed a special blessing on Sara, Angelina's mother when Angelina was in her womb. When she was a newborn, God looked down at her and was pleased he made Angelina his own special angel on earth. He instilled in her kindness, humility, and empathy. Simon was correct when he said that he had never heard that version, Angelina re-arranged it for the performance. She does this with many of her cover songs. Her fans call it "Angelina-fying" a song. The lady who first stood and clapped at the end of Angelina's performance was her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani. On her right was Angelina's mother, Sara Astar, then Juliette,her sister and then her uncle, Michael Astar who is also her Manager. Heidi Klum hit the Golden Buzzer. So Angelina went straight to the Final, where she performed Elton John's classic "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road". My introduction to Angelina was on her first appearance at Norway's Got Talent and I didn't expect much from a 7-year-old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over or forgetting her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". What did I see? Well, it was a seven-year-old child, with wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were baby teeth. And that was when the normal perception ended and things turned upside down. She confidently answered the questions put to her by a Judge. Declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Gestured off-stage for the technician to start the music and then started singing. The body of the 7-year-old was still there but the voice wasn't. Or was it? I was surprised then and that surprise is still with me, some six years later. I have followed her career since I saw that first video on UA-cam and in the six years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers, like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Lana del Ray, Avicii, Bill Withers, Gloria Gaynor, Andy Williams, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others. What is more extraordinary is that she takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. You will notice that she never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. And I'll add an even more extraordinary item for you to consider, to show how unique she is. She has the innate ability not only to sing a song as emotionally as the song deserves but to be able to communicate those same emotions to the listener. As I have noted above, I have been following her career a long time and have listened to every interview she has given and every documentary about her and every performance she has ever given. What stands out for me is how a very shy and humble girl in her normal life, can be transformed into the perfect vehicle for the song she has chosen to sing, once she starts to sing. Although the gift of singing and all her performances appear to be effortless, Angelina works very hard to ensure that the one she is going to record reflects what she sees as the correct way to meld both lyrics and melody. "Awesome" is a word you'll return to many times if you stay with Angelina. I've listened to all of them and none affect me like Angelina. Their super fans say the same thing about their star. But, I feel what I feel and like what I like. Happy birthday Angelina 15, as of 2020 132 songs does all her own arrangements, signed with Republic Records with complete control and has ownership of everything Angelina. Hey, welcome to the world of Angelina Jordan. She turned 15 on the date of your posting (January 10th). As far as next videos, you can go at least two directions. One direction would be to go back to 2014 to see her earliest performances(when she was 7-8) and work forward in her life. If you only want to see one from that time, I would recommend "Summertime". Her singing Jazz in outdoor venues in Norway are real fun. The other direction you could go would be her covers of the past few years. Among those, Her cover of Adele's "A Million Years Ago" is one of my favorites. The most popular is her cover of Whitney's Houston's "I have nothing". If your a big Queen fan, you might want to look at her cover of "The Show Must Go On". Angelina has a few originals--the best being, IMHO, "A Million Miles" which was a tribute to her late grandfather.

So Angelina is Norway's darling since winning Norway's Got Talent at age 7/8 with jazz. She is 13 in this Bohemian Rhapsody performance---her own arrangements. She got Heidi Klum's golden buzzer for this. You have tears. Angelina has a way of getting at the heart of a song and magnifying it. Surviving members of Queen gave her high praise, actually posting her version on the site. Heidi's golden buzzer sent her to the finals where she opened and blew us all away with her arrangement of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John. She had another performance and did not proceed to the top 5, but as far as I am concerned, she did not need to win in order to accomplish her mission there. Angelina is 16 now in 2022. She has dropped some wonderful covers this year. I hope you have found them. 💜

And, when we find out there is someone new coming aboard we cannot wait to see their reaction. She is impossible to resist and before your brain has a chance to figure out what is going on, your heart knows within a couple of seconds you have tapped into something very special.
You were very right when you brought up Dimash. He is so extraordinary but isn't it remarkable Angelina can affect listeners the same way he can? I believe the two of them stand apart from the rest because of what they are all about. And, not just their singing abilities. The love in their hearts comes out in their music. They are already true humanitarians and love children.
Brazil, don't get me wrong. I am not ignoring the wonderful talent that is in the world right now. Particularly the young talent. But Angelina and Dimash can make you very emotional every time you hear them sing. Note: You did pretty good before you started to lose it. Angelina ... is intimate. Your hear and you soul are touched by her when she sings. She doesn’t do “spectacular” most of her songs on You Tube are from home with just a guitar, a recording boot, some fest ales in Norway...Sweden. She problem sings more genres than anybody else,, her voice is unbelievably versatile. She sings songs from the 60’s to present time and she has written 5 songs I think. she seems to be able to channel the original artists in many ways when she. Overs their songs and always pays them respect by keeping the song recognisable. She is an amazing artist. She touched your heart and soul...that just is what she does...it is just one of her special gifts.

Dimash is also a master of emotion/feelings, BUT ANGELINAs music type/approach is MUCH easier to absorb and want more, versus Dimash,,, once you have heard him be amazing for a while, he is harder to consume. Angelina is more enduring of an art/style.

While Dimash can hit notes that don't exist on a keyboard, Angelina IMO is the most soulful, emotional vocalist of my 62 years. Please check out more vocalists which is something I still do but I listen to Angelina more than any other. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet and married a Japanese man who passed away in 2019.
Angelina speaks Norwegian, Farci, English and Japanese.
Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where she received vocal training starting around age 4. Angelina plays the piano, violin, guitar and flute and also paints. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina befriended this girl who was wearing soiled clothing and no shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina so moved by the poor girl, took off her favorite sea green ankle boots and gave them to the poor shoeless girl. Angelina promised the girl she would perform barefoot until every child on Earth has shoes. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.
Angelina asked her mother to enter her in Norway’s Got Talent (NGT) at age 5 but that talent show had a minimum age requirement of 7.
Angelina at age 6 did record a few songs in a recording studio, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 6 year old.
Angelina is blessed with a deep voice with a beautiful rich tone and has always made her sound much older than her age. Many compare her voice to that of Amy Winehouse. Her voice is highly emotional which is very rare for a young girl and some people can’t accept that such a soulful voice can come from someone who has not had enough life experience. One vocal coach on UA-cam recently said, “If you have a song and want to have more emotion added to that song, have Angelina sing it.”

@@nepenthes1978 I have to agree with Andy here. Dimash is an extraordinary, perfected instrument. Make no mistake. But Angelina is an extraordinary soul, choosing to create emotion through music. I don't think she cares about perfection the way other artists do, possibly because she must have a perfect pitch and doesn't have to care too much - but she's focussing on making you feel something. Plus she also has vocal abilities that will blow your mind, let's not forget.

I thinks that you can be impressed by the fact that Angelina at only 13 years old was able to face a challenge with such an iconic song as this and made her become her own song, with a fantastic reworking, a calm, powerful and terribly emotional interpretation and a great courage to take him to one of the most difficult audiences of the show. Actually, this rendition was not on America's Got Talent. It was America's Got Talent - The Champions. It was only open to those who had competed in one of the AGTs in the world and it had very different rules. Angelina is the only one who had actually won one of the competitions. She was there by invitation.

There are many songs and artists that are so good, so classic, that other singers refuse to cover them. The advice they get is, "Leave it alone. You'll never do better than the original and you'll just look foolish." Examples: Elvis, Adele, James Brown, Billie Holiday and Freddy Mercury (Queen).
These are the songs Angelina seeks out. She is absolutely unafraid. A special case is "I put a Spell on You", first recorded by Screaming Jay Hawkins in 1956. It has actually been covered by over 200 singers, including Nina Simone and Annie Lennox. However not one of them could capture the ferocity of the original until a little 9 year old girl from Norway stepped up to the microphone. Did you hear she won Norway's Got Talent in 2014 at 7-8 years old?? You facial features did not change so either you knew already or you didn't think that a 7 year old winning her country's talent wasn't that big a deal. Angelina was 13 and stood 6'0" . She turned 15 today 1-10-21 and is now 6'1" tall.
So much for not being impressed. She also arranged this song to fit the meaning and the time constraints. That is also one of many of her gifts the ability to make the audience feel what she feels when singing a song. @@nepenthes1978 There are kids versions of the voice not The Got Talent franchise that is always everybody competes at the same level. Just like the Champions show she was on she competed against aduts and kids a like.
Do that because of the virus problem everything after round two was done from remote location where the kids live. Another thing is after the second round. There was time taken off for the virus. During this time Kaue 's voice changed from his boy voice to his man voice and he still won. They have a compilation of all Kaue's performances. Just type his name in and enjoy.

Angelina is in a league of her own. She's the opposite to Dimash. Her voice and arrangements, which she does herself, are subtle, intelligent, sensitive. She has a wide vocal range and a huge arsenal of vocal resources.

Simon was correct when he said that he had never heard that version, Angelina re-arranged it for the performance. She does this with many of her cover songs. Her fans call it "Angelina-fying" a song. The lady who first stood and clapped at the end of Angelina's performance was her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani. On her right was Angelina's mother, Sara Astar, then Juliette,her sister and then her uncle, Michael Astar who is also her Manager. Heidi Klum hit the Golden Buzzer. So Angelina went straight to the Final, where she performed Elton John's classic "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road".
My introduction to Angelina was on her first appearance at Norway's Got Talent and I didn't expect much from a 7-year-old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over or forgetting her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". What did I see? Well, it was a seven-year-old child, with wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were baby teeth. And that was when the normal perception ended and things turned upside down. She confidently answered the questions put to her by a Judge. Declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Gestured off-stage for the technician to start the music and then started singing. The body of the 7-year-old was still there but the voice wasn't. Or was it? I was surprised then and that surprise is still with me, some six years later.
I have followed her career since I saw that first video on UA-cam and in the six years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers, like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Lana del Ray, Avicii, Bill Withers, Gloria Gaynor, Andy Williams, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others. What is more extraordinary is that she takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. You will notice that she never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. And I'll add an even more extraordinary item for you to consider, to show how unique she is. She has the innate ability not only to sing a song as emotionally as the song deserves but to be able to communicate those same emotions to the listener.
As I have noted above, I have been following her career a long time and have listened to every interview she has given and every documentary about her and every performance she has ever given. What stands out for me is how a very shy and humble girl in her normal life, can be transformed into the perfect vehicle for the song she has chosen to sing, once she starts to sing.
Although the gift of singing and all her performances appear to be effortless, Angelina works very hard to ensure that the one she is going to record reflects what she sees as the correct way to meld both lyrics and melody. As we would have said when I was young. "There is no 'side' to her" She is completely transparent to the world.
Perhaps you would like to go back a few years and work forward. By doing so, you will come to the realisation that she is "unique" and I don't use that word loosely. There is truly no other singer who has her versatility and sheer ability to communicate the emotions of a song to her listeners. I doubt there is another singer who works so hard to ensure that, when she sings the song, it is sung in such a way that her listener becomes enmeshed in the emotions

There are many good/great singers out there (like Dimash, Diana Ankudinova, Daneliya Tuleshova, Grace V., Aurora, Angelica Hale, Morissette, and on and on). I've listened to all of them and none affect me like Angelina. Their super fans say the same thing about their star. But, I feel what I feel and like what I like. Your response suggests that Angelina touches you like she touches her fans. Dimash does not do that to me. Just saying. You got suggestions in the comments. Check her out. Hey, welcome to the world of Angelina Jordan. She turned 15 on the date of your posting (January 10th). As far as next videos, you can go at least two directions. One direction would be to go back to 2014 to see her earliest performances(when she was 7-8) and work forward in her life. If you only want to see one from that time, I would recommend "Summertime". Her singing Jazz in outdoor venues in Norway are real fun.
The other direction you could go would be her covers of the past few years. Among those, Her cover of Adele's "A Million Years Ago" is one of my favorites. The most popular is her cover of Whitney's Houston's "I have nothing". If your a big Queen fan, you might want to look at her cover of "The Show Must Go On".
Angelina has a few originals--the best being, IMHO, "A Million Miles" which was a tribute to her late grandfather.

@@nepenthes1978 I think it has something to do with automatic gain leveling. The soft sections came up and the loud sections were depressed. There needs to be no AGC on the music.

Two things I really don’t like are people who pass judgement on others they don’t know anything about and the hypocrisy. I love watching music reactions because so many people open themselves up to the unity of music.

In addition to school she got also vocal training at the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program (I read, that this school said, they couldn't teach her more stuff because she has all learned what she could learn in this school ;-) ) - and btw. she plays also grand piano, violin, flute and guitar, make her arrangements herself, wrote a book, sew clothes for herself (partly with art from her grandma like in her first AGT performance and in her music video "Shield").
So she is a real all-rounder and I think all her fans are eager to see and hear what she is doing next...
