🚨Just to be clear this is discussing anti-armor vs bloodied at low health against bosses only. Despite what many may think a large portion of low health players do not run bloodied weapons. Running a quad or anti armor weapon at low health (nerd rage and adrenal reaction) typically grants you higher DPS than using a blooded weapon. All perks and attachments you would expect to be used are being used for testing. 🚨
Super helpful video. Your test results (1:30) correlate with similar results when comparing Anti-Armor vs Aristocrats (so any +50% dmg 1 star) at full health in Power Armor, using heavy guns and the Auto Axe. 98% of the time Aristocrats does more dmg than AA.
I see your testing was done at 5% health, do you think bloodied will still come out on top at 20% health? I think 20% is the more common threshold for bloodied players
Yes I believe so. I have a lot of clips where my health is fluctuating but for the most part take numbers from nerd rage threshold. Not sure which ones end up in the video.
I use a vampire speed break slower enclave. Of course it doesn't do as much damage as bloody but I all most never die. LOL. Oh I'm a full health heavy commando .
Wanna go mine’s weapon unless you have absolutely no choice 25% I mean 24% in the best case scenario why wouldn’t you run a mutant weapon that doesn’t have a scenario it’s just always 25% more damage because everybody’s got five mutations mutant swap and is 5% permutation up to five so 25% all you gotta do is put the gun on and use it. You’re getting one percent better than Gormans and it’s best is a silly legendary effect unless you just don’t have anything else the same with juggernaut the same with the aristocrat if you want 50% more damaged, then go junkies the mutations that you take you’re going to be using that one. They’re not gonna affect your damage but you’re also let’s say you have a cycle mutation or something as soon as you take a psycho, it ignores the mutation and gives you the boss, but you know what you no longer have to worry because you can only be mutated the cycle once so you don’t need per cards to keep you from getting addicted to psycho although you’re probably gonna if you use stuff that you’re not already addicted to which is stupid everything you get addicted to should be something you’re going to use regularly and all it takes is five mutations and you have 50% all the time Depending on your weapon. There are lots of better ways old school ways to get the most damage for full health builds using an armor isn’t necessarily giving you the most damage unless what you’re fighting is got high armor for day-to-day running around just killing shit. Junkies is better than an armor help. Mutant is better than an armor unless the thing you’re shooting at actually has armor and didn’t they just reduce the resistances of all of the mobs running around the world so they have almost none
For some reason, gauss minigun damage is listed as ballistic damage up until you add a tesla coil capacitor to add energy damage on top of that. So basically, it's yes with certain mods, but no without those mods
The ammunition might be under the Energy Ammo heading, but the damage is considered ballistic. That's why the damage number has the crosshairs next to it, instead of the lightning bolt.
Anti Armor doesnt amp or increase damage, with bloodied, the damage bonus it gives far exceeds the penalty of missing some armor piercing. For full health builds, aristocrats and executioners pair up well. Executioners is weirdly multiplicative and does similar or more damage than bloodied when the effect is active.
No offense dude but you’re talking around in circles and you’re not even saying what needs to be said and armor doesn’t add damage to anything. It literally doesn’t add any damage. OK so yes, in the grand scheme of things anything that does that damage to your weapon is going to do more damage and armor on the other hand helps you ignore resistances Fight called armor penetration so I don’t understand why we call it different depending on what kind of weapon it’s on, but it’s armor penetration from a game gamer perspective, and it doesn’t increase your damage. It simply move your damage. If you wanna think of it this way it moves your damage from damaging the shields the resistances or whatever the armor of your target to damaging the health of the target. It’s the same damage as an anti weapon used against a armless target or a target that doesn’t have that kind of resist. Let’s say you’re attacking all ballistic and the target has no ballistic resistance is no DR will do the same damage as a weapon. You just made the exact same weapon. You just made on the bench faxing damage but when the target has damage resist, then our weapon will appear to do more damage not because it has more damage but because it’s getting through the resist easier Than the weapon without an armor, but at the same time, you take a lightly armored target and pile raw damage like junkies or something against it it might end up being a quicker kill with the junkies than an armor because you really aren’t getting that much out of it and certainly Given the fact that weapons that have an armor penetration you know, magazine, or whatever our additive with anti-the weapon and you can frequently get to 80 or 90% armor pen that way clearly that’s gonna do a better job than an equivalent energy weapon that doesn’t have that But that’s not a logical decision. You would have to prove that with your testing to equivalent weapons one with a anti-armor one with whatever it is, you’re comparing it to I really I really don’t know. I didn’t pay attention and by the way if you’re going to compare a bloody weapon to an armor weapon, then both comparisons need to be done at low health because I drink the reaction and nerd rage account for the biggest chunk of the damage boost you get from being at low healthwhen they’re at least half
Proven and multiple occasions again you get more mileage your mileage differs, depending on what your target is and how much armor it has for instance bring it into current context that first boss in the raid he has very little armor, right he has especially little armor in the energy category his ER is very low And armor is not helping you nearly as much if you weapon his energy against that boss as it is, if your weapon is ballistic, he has a fair amount not a lot but quite a bit more ballistic resistance than he does quite a bit more DR than he does ER so an arm or maybe helping I haven’t done a test but an armor might be helping you more against his if your weapon is ballistic then if it’s energy because he has low energy resist regular bosses don’t Regular bosses have exactly the same DR ER cryo-fire in poison and they’re all immune to radiation so when you attack the queen, she has the same damage, resistance, energy, resist far as I know all of the main OG bosses the original all of them have exactly the same resistance and they have massive resistance is now massive They used to have massive damage reduction. They no longer have damage reduction now they have massive resistance and a big health pool, which makes it a fair game for everybody now instead of just commando bills you don’t have to crypt the bosses to do damage anymore or waste. You know millions rounds of ammunition on them with a heavy gun to do damage you just have to be able to break through the resistance as much as possible and certainly credit is still good but it’s not necessary anymore when the queen had 70% damage reduction, a commando belt entirely ignored that by creating every other shot Every other shot they did full damage. I mean damage was full damage. I mean their damage was not reduced by damage reduction, but in between shots, it was everybody else on heavy guns. Their damage was being every 100 damage they did was straight up being reduced by 70% never mind the resistance of which the queen didn’t used to have much at alland it only got worse from there. Earl had 75% damage reduction if I remember right
You're testing the wrong way. It's not the damage that needs to be counted, it's the reduction in resistance. "Eviction Notice", "Neurological Warfare", and Skyline Valley Caravans - AA better than Bloodied. All other cases - Bloodied. Or Aristocrat for full health.
Who gives a damn😂 i'm just having alot of fun using my +3 strenght aristocrat Rapid shishkebab. Just looking for the 4* legendary perk that gives you a 50% damage boost when targets are on fire. I know it's not "meta" at all but i think it's fun and strong enough without taking the challenge out of the game. If i wanted to insta kill everything i'd play mario or pac man
@TJutin that's dope, just enjoy it the way you want to play. My girl wants a bow too, got a valentines bow for her as a suprise when she gets level 50. It's gonna take a long ass time but it's worth it hehe
Idk if I’d say the worst but I agree most players are not accustomed tougher content. I haven’t ran the raid on pts yet but I will be posting videos about raid builds particularly no power armor builds
I’ve been a Bloodied commando build forever. No way would I consider that build for the Gleaming Depths raids. I’ll create a full health build and run power armour + gauss minigun with appropriate legendaries.
The problem with your testing is Earl has no armor, just an 80% damage debuff for players damage. Bloodied will always be king on Earl. The rule of thumb has always been: bloodied for earle and mobbing, AA for anything with high armor stats.
Testing at base. Adding all the bells and whistles wouldn’t change the results as I’d be adding the same things to both. All weapons used for testing are the same gun with 25 faster fire rate and 25 less vats cost
@@TJutin Well, already a few flaws in that. Mods would change the results, especially for EPR (also, Science Perks and Prime \ Non-prime are different for ballistics and energy weapons). I'm sorry, mate, do better before going public with your findings. Good luck!
Quad is always going to be better with rifleman perks. It doesn't matter how hard your hitting when your reloading not-stop and losing dps. Do the math on a boss fight would be a better comparision. Bloodied is good with a heavygunner when reloaading is far in between. AA is always better on a full health build. I think the video was a waste when your compairing per hit because there are so many other guns that hit harder but just much slower.
I have other testing videos that show 100 shot dps. Plus all you would have to do is get the time it takes to shoot one mag + reload and multiply that by however many times you see yourself reloading to get a simulation of what the dps would be. As far as hitting harder but slower look at the hunting rifle for example no one uses it because it’s dps is horrendous.
@@TJutin yea its all gravy I was just stating DPS is different from flat damage, and was thinking more of the Railway which alot of people still use or the plasma/enclave .Just giving you ideas and what to touch on next video.
@@Hotdogbunzz you are good I appreciate any feedback! Always include the total damage and the dps as separately so ppl can see the difference. For example a bow is a great weapon that can one shot enemies and is very functional as an everyday work horse but it’s dps would be low because of the fire rate.

Yeah bloodied op, we know..
Bloodied is strong correct but more times than not it is not the best option for low health builds. In terms of dps that is.
@@TJutin amazing against regular enemies against bosses it’s not always the best
I'm full HP and AA is still the best option for my Gatling Plasma.
For full health yes.
Only if no use PA otherwise you losing dmg...
@@Garmus_GrizzlerPower armor or not. From my testing AA is still the best DPS.

the damage is extremely close but bloodied is slightly better, AA is really only used for auto axe anyways nothing too crazy in this video
Am I trippin or did he do 529’s with the AA a Bloodied on earl?
Depends, against normal enemies bloodied is better, but against bosses then the anti armour should lead because of the by pass of resistances.
And with the new perk cards effects bloodied builds just keeps getting more overpowered,
But they'll get absolutely wrecked in raids starting tomorrow
Gotta adapt
I’m a full healther so uh… no.
Doesn’t apply to full health.
