This knot looks so nasty, but with the technique you've shown looks too easy to split! Thanks!

It works on just about every knot. Thanks for watching.

Good techniques. That mushroomed splitting wedge needs serious dressing.

That was harder to do than splitting the wood

I personally have some split wood from a life of fishing. Burning in my pizza oven next week.

Give a man a fish he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime. My next video will be on splitting wood into small pieces

Looks like you average 2.2 hits til it splits.

If you were going to use the chainsaw, why not cut it all the way down the middle in the first place

Because it would take to long to cut every log like that. It's faster to just put some notches in and let it roll

Thanks for writing this comment. I thought the same as you. There are a lot of people who never had to chop wood. I’m not fascinated by it. I plan on making it part of my life style to heat and cook with wood. Bills are outrageous. It might be great to do a whole series on what really works from hand saws, froes, wedges etc.., All the way up to chainsaws, hydraulic splitters and wood processors. Cheap to expensive with the Main goal of being reliable. Thanks for sharing. New Subscriber!!!
