Corey Hart was so underrated as an artist!
One of the best records of the 80's and highly underrated Corey Hart song
Jennifer Kellow I agree, great singer, great music.
love this song and the sax yeah still good for 2017
@@MrPizza063 Sax is always good 2019.
No kidding!
Let's bring corey back
Exactly but its a classic love song worth listening. Respects from Sam India. Cory was a outstanding artist.
I broke "Sunglasses" the day it dropped -- 1/21/84 (already a huge hit in UK) on The Breakfast Bunch on 96STO. I snagged a copy of the LP on the way home. I had this cool optical-tracking turntable, and I recall getting toasted and listening to this track like 50 times in a row. Andy Hamilton's tenor sax is riveting with the soul-piercing wail from Hart. Why this wasn't a giant hit I have no clue.
I agree so much with “why this wasn’t a giant hit I have no clue” - same thought by many!
Who is listening to It Ain't Enough For You in 2020 quarantined at home? 1 one of the best love song classics from the 80s. Cory is outstanding... Love from Sam India...
Todos los dias de mi vida lo escucho
I am one
Me too!!
And in the summer of 2024.
you can't beat the 80s music
I love the 80’s
I miss it so much😭 And I ❤❤ Corey Hart
Hi I just wanted to thank you again for being so supportive and following me on my journey. I love inspiring and encouraging others. People like you help me to keep showing up! Hope you are having an amazing day!
this is probably his best--it is raw and full of emotion.
Yes this is his best and least commercial
@@oppothumbs1 i always play this classic from 1985 still amazing today in 2021
It's just smooooth 🕯️
I would give him a warm place to land if the object of his affection turned him away. But, more than likely, "it ain't enough" 🎶
@@MrPizza063 I like this song better than anything else he does. I'm not even a fan. Corey Hart was 19 when he got inspired to write this song. The music would, to some, sound like an expression of frustration as a result of a girl. However, the real reason behind the song was to illustrate his struggles to get a record deal. Label after label kept turning him down until he eventually managed to land a deal with EMI.
What an underrated classic!
This song and Never Surrender are my favourite Corey songs.I always thought these two songs were better than his original Sunglasses at night hit.Great singer and very under rated.
Wow! Please take me back to the 80s! Miss the music and the timeless sound of the saxophone.
Kenny G on the sax everybody!
No way! I never knew that. Do you remember exactly when this single was released? Was it directly following Sunglasses At Night? I checked Wikipedia but it only says 1984 and doesn't give the actual month.
Believe it's Montreal native ANDY HAMILTON on Sax
Oh Well.....I love this Song to Death anyway. I Just Never have been a Kenny a "Kenny G" Fan. Not my style AT ALL As a solo artist And I used to get so tired ofdiabetes hearing him and hearing.People talk about him back when I never understood His appeal but that's me
OOPS....DIABETES ?? A complete Typo! 😮
@@jeffreybarkin3177According to Wikipedia, you are correct. However, it says he was born in England, though it did not say where he grew up.
Slow dancing with Laura Bernard ... I thought was in heaven. Music today can't give you those same feelings. I miss the 80's!
Wow! Forty years later and still having goosebumps with the lyrics and emotion Corey gives is enough to still loving it!!!
Wonderful music even in 2019 The music today is so pathetic.
You are right today's music is down right horrible
Corey belts one outa the park. Timeless.
This song still hits me. Tear every time this sentimental is on. What a hidden message of love.
+ABBA RATH I always played this song wayway back in 1984 for me and m then ex
Great song, I was 24 when it came out, was blasting it In my 79 Trans am. Always thought Corey and Harrison Ford looked a lot alike.
Whoa! How did I miss this CH song? As an 80s child, I am ashamed!
Gotta put it in my music collection asap! :)
amazingdany luv u baby
Corey Hart was the man! Somebody get me a time machine. I want to go back to the 80s in the worst way
Bro we all live 80s as a decade just bcoz of music n lifestyle. Love from Sam India.
UA-cam is a time machine!
Completely agree ! What I’d give to have the eighties back !
I absolutely love his music, kept me skating nonstop, always Love my 80's 😎😍
Hi I just wanted to thank you again for being so supportive and following me on my journey. I love inspiring and encouraging others. People like you help me to keep showing up! Hope you are having an amazing day!
This song is still a great song even in 2019. Man those were sometimes. I mean vinyl and cassettes were the bombs. They still don't sound bad to my ears today. Sure they are getting older but they still know what is good.
Way better than the crap they call music today. And I was a metal head fan back in the day. All genres had great songs. Can't say the same for today's music.
Always give me this "stop breathing" sense ! So classic - sweet like cherry - Thank you so much! God bless you!!!!

timeless classic song of the 80's..ill never forget!
its 2017 and this song still rocks
Ah, to go back in time; just for a little while. These were the songs of my youth and I love every one of them. This song is a very underrated Corey Hart songs. The raw emotion of which he sings here is what makes it so special. Maybe if I went back in time, I wouldn't want to return. Thanks Corey for bringing a tear to my eye.
On this day in 1984 {November 3rd} a video of Corey Hart's "It Ain't Enoung" was aired on the ABC-TV Saturday-afternoon program, 'American Bandstand'...
At the time "It Ain't Enough"" was at position #28 on Billboard's Top 100 chart, four weeks later it would peak at #17 {for 2 weeks} and it spent nineteen weeks on the Top 100...
It reached #4 on his native Canada's RPM Singles chart...
Between 1984 and 1990 the Montreal, Quebec native had ten records on the Top 100 chart, two made the Top 10, "Sunglasses At Night" {#7 for 1 week in 1984} and "Never Surrender" {#3 for 2 weeks in 1985}...
In his native Canada he charted thirty two times, ten made the Top 10 with two* reaching #1, "Never Surrender" {1985} and "Can't Help Falling In Love" {1986}...
Corey Mitchell Hart will celebrate his 58th birthday come next May 31st, 2020...
* And from the 'For What It's Worth' department, he just missed having two more #1 records when both his "In Your Soul" {1988} and "Black Cloud Rain" {1996} peaked at #2 on the RPM Singles chart...
Still a great song. Listening in 2018. Always thought Corey was hot! The eyes 👀❤️👍🏻
2019 still a classic
Corey hit #17 in Billboard, 12-1-84. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!
I remember it wasn't a number 1 in Canada , bit it was darn close. Likely top 5.
"I could pour you a drink like I pour out my out my heart" - wow, what a line to say to a lover!
I was in his fan club in in 80's. I got one newsletter and an autographed picture lol

OMG haven't heard this in over 20 years or longer please bring back the 80's music!!
Corey Hart was a master of the judicious use of saxophone in a pop song. Adds just the right bit of oomph and interest.

I purchased the CD after hearing this beautiful song
Ramon Hart I am listening today. It reminds me of a certain time in my life...I am thinking California Coolers Wild Cherry Splash and high school. I think this is a lot better than Sunglasses at Night
You mean cassette tape?
The fact that 80s music is still popular today is a testament to how good it was and how bad music is today. Real talent back then unlike today where everyone thinks auto tune and rapping while sampling 80s music is “talent “………🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Beautiful song, and I think his best.
great song..timeless
never heard of this song until now. i'm a all genre music type of guy and I like the sax on this song.
gosh he was such a babe back then!
Canada's answer to Bruce Springsteen. Younger, fitter, better diet. Have you seen CH now? He's still a handsome man. Only now he's Canada's answer to Harrison Ford.
Hi I just wanted to thank you again for being so supportive and following me on my journey. I love inspiring and encouraging others. People like you help me to keep showing up! Hope you are having an amazing day!
I WISH THERE WAS A REAL TIME MACHINE! I'd DEFINITELY go back to these days when Corey and the other 80s stars were booming.
Why isn't Corey Hart in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame?? He's a Canadian icon, with over 17 MILLION records sold, 9 albums, and numerous awards and accolades. He has credits as a singer, songwriter, musician, producer, and collaborator. 2013 will mark his 30th year as a recording artist. Search of facebook for the group "Lets get Corey Hart into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame" for a link to a petition, and for info on a letter-writing campaign. Thank you!!
Love this song an looking forward to his tour this Spring...
kind of has that "walk on the beach at sunset on a warm summer's night" vibe to it.
Exactly ❣
I miss the 80's too!!! :) :)

Many Years Later , And I still Love this Heartfelt song . I can live the emotional twist in my mind,
and it TRUELY SPEAKS FROM THE SOUL !
It proves just how Powerful > The Power Of Love < can be .
Great project Mr. Hart

I took my sister to Corey Hart tonight in Vancouver; Corey was the first concert we went to in 1984 Kamloops BC, Memorial Arena. He remains to be an awesome performer. Brought back so many great memories.
My friend and I were there too. He was amazing and sounded better than ever. My friend said it was one of the best concerts she's ever been to and I totally agree. It was like turning back the hands of time!
I was also at that concert...it was part of my 16th birthday present...very very enjoyable
great sax
Classic!
Thanks Corey
You bring back my Teens
Omg I had SUCH a crush on him as a teen!!! ❤❤😊😊
Well deserved Canadian Music Hall Of Fame inductee
I have loved this song ever since it came out, am so pleased to find this well-executed creative video. Dude was HOT!
He did a lot with a little, no? Simple set and lighting, yet made an engaging video. At the time musicians were figuring out what a rock video was. A stage performance? A story? He's opted for a performance stylized for the camera. Three musicians, faster cuts after the band kicks in. Amazing to think that it was all just a vision then, nobody had tried it like that before.
Still listening in 2019 ( I love this song )!
One of the most underrated song of the 80s
What the H?! I was 16 in 85 and I can't remember this one.
Oh WoW Corey Hart is a legend

Ever hear of those mis-heard lyrics....this was mine. "I could carry the weight of your sad times babe, and give you the strength to piss your pants" lol
anyone else hear it lol, great song.
First concert I ever saw. Yup, I’m 53.
Love Corey forever❤
Hidden gem right here
Corey where the hell did u go. Canada and the US u owned the 80s.
Lives in Carribean
Amazing Artist and voice, still rocking Cory...
Yeah, each time you think he's hit his highest note, he goes up, and up again! Always clear and true. And it's cute he tries to make his voice break and it just won't do it.
Such a beautiful song, One of my all time favourite songs!!!
one of his 10 top 100 singles outside of canada
Love this. My first album i ever bought
it ain’t enough for you❤️🤘🏼❤️🔥❤️🔥🤘🏼
I always thought the lyric was, "I smile when I'm sad and I don't when I'm smart." I thought that was a very clever line. Disappointed all these years later to find out I misheard it.
He did say that?? Didn't he?
At min 2:35
I mean at min2:32
@@yaderalvarado3951 The actual line is, "Smile when I'm sad and act dumb when I'm smart." Not as good as I imagined.
That’s ok, I thought he said “ I know I’ll never be a Fred Astaire…” when he was actually saying … “afraid to say..”. I still think “Fred Astaire” would work well though 😁
Omg gorgeous 😊
Hi I just wanted to thank you again for being so supportive and following me on my journey. I love inspiring and encouraging others. People like you help me to keep showing up! Hope you are having an amazing day!
Still Love this... 💜🦋🥀
Yes, it is enough for me, because I love you and you are enough for me ("Sparrow") I just need you ("Sparrow")❣💝💓💋 // Thanks for sharing!
Corey hit #17 in Billboard, 12-1-84. He sure sang like a Britisher on this 1, the way he dropped his r's. Corey's Canadian, btw.
Ah yes.....I remember this song now!
This was the song that made me buy the LP
I love you Corey Hart!!!!!!!

I'm currently having a Christmas 1984 flashback. When was the time this tune came out. ( During the holiday season). I was in the 8th grade, and fawning over my favorite alarm clock at the time
A Big Ben
I ❤ Corey Hart. Always have since the 80s!
the eyes....those eyes.
Corey Hart was 1 of my Favorites back then an he's still 1 of my Favorites Now. So full of Soul& Emotion an that Awesome 🎷 sax player OMG, such a Sexy sound. ❤❤❤❤ Corey Hart!!!
This song reminds me of my ex wife when she left I could do nothing to bring her back I wasn’t the best Husband
Then I saw her on Facebook yesterday Happy with her Family and Child and I’m the one who’s left behind still thinking of her and missing her
I probably don’t figure in her mind one little bit
That’s not her fault I just wish we could have held it together
Still thinking of her 20 odd years after the Divorce
had a huge teenage crush for Cory Hart in high school; sometimes i would kiss my pillow and pretend it was him...lol ,,,.he still sounds great today; that powerful unique voice and instrumentals together.

imajeepster I totally think that too!!! I was just watching the early X Files episodes & they are both so beautiful!!! 😉
That light in the microphone is a little bright, I'm surprised he's not wearing his sunglasses
Love you Corey 💜🤍

80s where did they go
Fall 1984 this was being heard. When I first heard this I thought Corey would have been from the southern USA but when I saw him thought he was an immigrant from Ukraine or somewhere. Good song then and now.
I would have never thought southern as far as his accent. I can see the ukrainian thing though
+Clay Stevenson Hey Clay, He is a Canadian boy that lives in Spain now. He is Siena Records (part of Warner Music) He has now signed an up an coming artist to his label Jonathan Roy (1st single "Daniella Denmark" written by Corey Hart
Shawn Fraser I always knew Corey was Canadian but just saying I could see ukrainian thats all
Scottish background, and Corey knows french and english and spanish
the facial histrionics in the video are more befitting of a rap act not a chilled out white male mid 80s song.
Great song.
