This is the man that I need to follow. I've been thinking about how to do this on the Prime 4+ with a MPC One +. Leo you don't know how you have encouraged me today. This has been a blessing. Thank you!!!
Thank you 😊 in this video I was using simple midi sync. It was before the ableton link firmware. Today for you will be super easy using ableton link sync protocol. ua-cam.com/video/bXp2eWkzWn8/v-deo.htmlsi=8QXHfvp_l83FASXm
@@ToddBryantsr wireless works fine but I mean, if you don’t have a particular reason to go wireless, a simple lan cable is way better and easy to manage
I’m wondering if the reverse can work- MPC MIDI to X1850. I’ve seen that it can clock via Ableton to deck device, but can MPC clock the mixer and just the mixer? I’m getting tired of dialing it in by hand 😂. Only wondering as I don’t have a deck/ controller, just MPC and X1850, which has been fun by itself, but a sync saves extra brain capacity
Thank you 🙏 Depend on what you mean with “set”. Proper Dj mixing no, is not possible. But you can do a set of course using a different workflow. You could work with loops, chops, samples, internal synths to creates something new, not just mixing. The thing is that you should prepare everything, when with a proper Dj gear you just load a track and play. Basically is almost like having Ableton Live in a box. What you can do with Ableton Live can be (almost) made with the MPC.
@@EthanLeo awesome, thank you for your quick response. With set I mean that you could for example play an existing track from an artist and then fade into a live performance that you play solely on the mpc one...so left side a dj player and right side the mpc one and in the middle a dj mixer like an allen & heath 43c... My apologies if this is super random, I'm just brainstorming a bit here haha
@@tiimm0002 yes. Like a did in the video. I used the mpc for kick drum and synths but you can load a track of course. It’s something that must be prepared at your home. The mpc workflow is not made for djing so even loading a track can take some time. It’s an amazing tool of course in combination with other gears.
Hi I subscribed to your channel, please. I would like to ask you how do you connect akai force from an xprime1850 mixer to sample and how do you connect everything to keep the same bpm on the sc6000m and force?
Check more videos on my channel. This video was made in collaboration with Iconyc and this is the format. It is not a technical video. It seems to me that you can see pretty much everything. Watching me wasting time selecting presets on the mpc would also be boring 😂 Thank you for your support 🥰

Can you please state where those two USB’s cables connected on top of the Denon x1850 mixer lead to? Is one of them the akai unit and possibly the other is a laptop? Great performance!🥇 If I was to connect a Roland TR-8 to my Denon x1850 mixer would I need to plug my usb into the mixers USB port one or just use audio cables to connect it along with a midi cable? Thanks in advance🙏🏻
The first USB is just to record the audio on a laptop. The mixer can also record 4 separated tracks, one for each channel and also the main out and all at the same time (wow). The second USB send the midi clock to the mpc and also the midi start (at the begining of the video the mpc start thanks to the midi start on the mixer). The mixer do also have a classic midi out 5 pin and you can use both at the same time if needed. Just keep in mind that at the moment we have only bpm sync and not phase sync, so during a live set it require to stay really focused. But, let's wait for future updates 😉 thank you for watching and commenting. Appreciate it 🙏🏼
@@EthanLeo amazing, thanks for the fast reply. I’m wondering if I can get thr mixer to syncs with ableton. I’m guessing connect the usb from the mixer to the MacBook, ableton will use it as a soundcard and activate loops or a song and it should sync perfectly with the song playing on a Denon Sc5000 unit. If you see any issue or diffidence with this setup to make it work, please comment. I subscribed and hope to seem more great performances🥇🙏🏻
I've just read the last part of your message. 🤦 For you Roland you need to use the classic midi cable and that's all 😊 the mpc support also midi via USB and I choose the USB just for the video. There's no difference between the two methods 😊
@@EthanLeo great, the Roland tr-8 has a usb but if you connect it to a computer it’s so it recognizes the internal soundcard of the Roland. Thanks for all the help 🙏🏻
Currently you could just send the bpm to your Ableton Live of course using the Midi via USB (just remember to activate the midi clock in the mixer settings). But not really suitable for launching clips or loops during a live performance. Anyway, Denon Dj always listen. I cannot say more 🙂
And that ladies and gentlemen it’s how it’s done!

@@EthanLeo thanks so much for the tip. Have you used the MPC One + with the Prime 4+ wirelessly or do you recommend using a Ethernet connection?

How you sync mpc with denon?
I wish i someone would reply to your question , i have the same one
Just beat match both units, super easy
The denon mixer has a 5pin midi on it to sync with outboard gear
Well done ! so cool , hey , just a question , is your BPM on MPC one sync to SC6000?
Bravissimo Leo, ti meriti di andare a Tomorrowland sul palco principale, complimenti sinceri e auguri di cuore, mi hai impressionato!!!!!
Grazie Emilio! Troppo gentile! ❤️

I got the sc6000m db4 akai force and a reloop 8000mk2

Si può collegare direttamente con un cavo Ethernet

Ableton Link. All the prime series and all the mpc series they have Ableton Link protocol.

Very nice performance. Unfortunately you hide almost every transitions between CDJ and MPC mixing with landscape movies. :(
