So based on your numbers $24,324/14 weeks gives you $1737 a week, that’s cool, the scary part is the possible break downs, and bills are still due. Vs a company job where you can net close to $1500 and sleep good at night knowing I don’t have to pay for maintenance. This definitely gives me something to think about. Bc a $3000 is nice. Thank you for this video
Sup Zeke Dawg, 6 year trucker here, and those numbers aren't anything to frown at. Because if you stayed consistently vacationing, you would have still had a profit of over 95k. My dawg you winning. Plus, the biggest thing is that you're actually seeing the fruits of your labor. God bless you and your family.
Don't expect to be making 1500 a week. u won't see that till maybe a year, especially now in this market. You'll probably see 1000 before taxes, maybe less
When I was at prime and I polled drivers, I remember company solo drivers making $800-1100 a week. Solo lease drivers making about $1200. Many making less. Some saying they made $5000+ a week but when I would ask if that was gross or net they didn’t seem to know what I was talking about. Making good money as a lease driver always seemed to be something we would hear of but never saw the numbers for. I absolutely loved the company, Springfield headquarters, owner, trainers, and drivers. I just didn’t make hardly any money and I didn’t like being gone ALL the time as a company driver. If I had been a lease driver I think it would have worked out with more pay and flexibility. Training guarantee was $700 a week back then. I never made even close to that as a company team driver where my teammate leased the truck. Everyone I worked with had lots of knowledge and skill. I just didn’t see the money. One week I drove several days and only got paid less than $100. My tram driver who leased the truck didn’t make a cent that week he said. I had it start taking care of my elderly father full time and had to leave. I miss the job. It would have been great to lease and take my wife with me OTR.
1st thing comes to mind. I understand a person needs to enjoy life i understand that. But thats why say if ur a company driver or any type of normal job. U get a weeks vacation after 1 yr of employment . With that bein said. I personally would stic to the norm. Grind all yr. Then tk a weeks vacation
8 grand a month average is fantastic! Especially with all the time you’ve taken off to enjoy life. Millions of Americans making way less and working way more. Stay blessed ZekeDawg
For What I See Ain’t worth that much leasing with Prime 🤔 I’m A Company Driver Not At Prime with a pay rate of $ 0.64 CPM my Weekly Pay Rate Is From $ 0 Up To $ 2300.00 After Taxes Obviously if a Get A 0.00 USD or a low pay Check is because I Took some time Off. Last Year I Made $ 85800.00 Gross, taking A Week Off Nearly Every Month. This Year According to My Last Pay Check I’m Sitting At $ 82355.00 Gross With Eight More Weeks To Go On 2023. So My Point of All Of This : For Me To Lease Or Buy A Truck, I have to be able To Make every Week A Minimum of $ 4000.00 USD After Deductions ( Not Including Taxes Deductions), Otherwise is Not Worth The Headache 🤕 and that’s crossing fingers 🤞🏻 of not having a Major Breakdown. God Bless You Zeke Dawg 🙏🏻 Keep It Trucking 🚛💨😎
Yep, u just have to remember every weeks check I'd different. Just pay yourself $1000 a week and save the rest, so when u have a bad week u still have bad week u still have funds to pay yourself.
appreciate the content boss im looking to lease on with prime flatbed they said they have a regional account out of houston that runs okc , lousiana, arkansas can i make money on that accounts leasing?
I was thinking about doing the prime walk away lease . I honesty like them numbers .. i been driving 44 years in trucking . And im single so i can run. Hard . I know i have no problem with prime . At 62 im ready to be in my first truck. What lease are you in ? Amd how many years

Fr8sK8R Trucking today spilled the beans with his last film. In three years running TEAM REEFER, his take home after taxes was $.65cpm. It should have been much more, but Prime takes 52% to 62% of your revenue. Don't believe me, ask Prime to see your rate cons. They won't show them to you.
Hey Brother. thanks for the info. let me ask you if you get with the truck on the shop who's paying? if the truck its for 2 days out of bussiness they pay you those days?
How often do u stay out cause I’m bout to hit my year at TMC soon and I’m looking to do like you. If u can help coach me through this that would be great
Stay on your grind!! God bless and stay safe out there. It's a blessing to be able to work hard and play even harder in life. You're exactly right...enjoy life when and while you can!! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
So needless to say the money is there for lease operators as long as you're willing to run... Got it! I plan on joining Prime's tanker division in a few months
Great info. Out of the profit, how much do you think you owe on taxes. I understand you have to file a 1099 right? Do you put money aside for the taxes?
Are you lease purchase or just lease?. And also don’t you have to take out your own taxes from the profit or they have a program that auto does it for u so help u each quarter ?
What’s good Zeke? I just signed to come on to prime for lease program. I start in a few weeks. My question is: as far as fuel do u pay out of pocket up front and then get reimbursed or do you get a fuel card and the deductions come from there?
Sounds good I make more than that driving a roll off truck at home everything I was interested in over the road but I don't see no money in it love the video though...keep grinding
Thanks so much for the update! Numbers look solid. Instead of taking the trucking scholarship I decided to go back into cooking and scored a really great salary job (55k) wit possible 20% quarterly bonuses. 11k every 4 months. I got my disability from the Marines also. Bought a brand new car, getting a "luxury" apartment next week In Louisville. Part of me wishes I went into trucking but I went to the world's best cooking school( CIA Chef ) so I used that Resume and finally landed a decent paying job in cooking. Now I have to figure out how to inspire my workers who don't want to cook chicken nuggets how to cook chicken nuggets man. My new boss told me that they said they were out of chicken nuggets cuz they didn't want to put a frozen chicken nugget in the fryer man I think I might have some problems there but we'll figure it out.. Semper Fidelis Thanks for you experience
That's decent numbers for first 90 days and less than a year in the industry. My question is, do those numbers include the numbers that you are setting aside for tax purposes. I know everyone's tax situation is different, but I was always told 33% of that profit goes straight to uncle Sam, and after that, that is your real profit. But if it works for you that's all that matters. Keep doing what you do brother, hopefully one day I'll run into you on the road
Get a good tax guy my trainer said he makes 140k a year training all year round. Pays like 13k a year in taxes. He does his own so he may or may not go to jail if he gets audited lmao
So your fixed income could change depending on how much your new truck cost? I bet you’re getting that T680 😜 Hell, I would lol! Still grinding it out over here at TMC but looking to go to TSH at my 2 year mark in March.

Don’t forget to deduct an additional 45% approximate for federal state taxes and self employment tax of 15.6%

@Zay_05 so far it's like $1000 a week for now. I'm just gaining experience
That's $17,026.80 after taxes. Or, $5,756.00 per month, or $1439.00 per week. The average company driver has a take home pay of $1,900.80wk.
The average company worker has to work all the time as well. I like being off.
