like, holy shit dude that's incredible emotional progress. genuinely! his whole mental approach to fear has shifted dramatically, and he is truly beginning to thrive, and I genuinely love that so much for him
I’m not sure it’s his “mental approach to fear” as much as it’s just unintentional exposure therapy/slowly learning that ghosts and demons aren’t real and can’t hurt him lol

I know you're kidding and you're joking in an affectionate way because regardless of what any of us believe, it's impossible to not love Ryan lol I'm just saying that I think he does still believe in ghosts because he says he does, and the way he deals with his fear is markedly different. early on, he would repeat to himself "do not be afraid" which is unreasonable and also positions his fear as the "problem" i.e., he shouldn't be afraid and the fact that he is is Wrong, if that makes sense.
but over time, he begins to say "I am not my fear, I am stronger than my fear," which shows self acceptance and self legitimization. he's acknowledging that he's afraid but he is separating himself from his fear, his fear exists but doesn't control him or his actions. which is just an incredibly healthy way to approach your emotions
again, I know you're doing a goof, and it did give me a chuckle, I'm not going to lie lol I just really love how Ryan has changed so much and become such a healthier guy emotionally.
oh and I don't think you're wrong about how the practice of ghost hunting again and again will help reduce fear. obviously if you do something that scares you multiple times, it does become less scary, so you're not wrong about that at all. but I just don't think it's necessarily fair to (even jokingly) minimize the fact he is scared. what makes him admirable to me is that he is scared, he believes in this stuff, and yet he chooses to do it. for Shane, it's nothing because he doesn't believe in any of it. Shane is just vibing haha
idk man, I just think it's really awesome to see a man process and handle fear in a really healthy way. you don't see that very often and I think it's cool that Ryan has the confidence to be publicly afraid on the internet
anyway thanks for coming to my Ted talk about how great it is to see a man processing emotions in a healthy way and in a very public space lol

I still can't stop laughing at when shane and Ryan found out about a ghost dog and the only option they had to find it was to put on cat ears and hiss and meow at the top of a staircase. Still one of my favorite and funniest moments ever!

its really sad but this is whats missing from the new ghost files show. this element of just ryan and shane sitting next to eachother in front of a camera and just talking/bickering with one another, and the more on the spot and improv during the investigations. i really miss this energy.
The very first episode that I’ve watched from these two was the Goat Man bridge. And I found them so genuine and funny and have such good chemistry. The boys are back guys!

you can see how ryan and shane change each other over the course of the show. ryan starts off scared and ends up really bold, sometimes even more so than shane. shane starts off hating the whole idea because he thinks it’s stupid, and ends up getting really into it. it’s actually beautiful
