AR6610T variometer/altitude reciever

Testing the 6 ch Spektrum AR6610T telemetri reciever with built in variometer/altitude gauges. This will work on Spektrums G2 transmitters that have inside sound module like the DX9. I did a range test on the ground and the manual say 30 meter and I got it to 90 meter and stopped as I not could see the ailerons move :)
The prize is around 70 euro, and it is pretty cheap for a Spektrum variometer/altimeter reciever. In the past you should have a TM1000 telemetri transmitter with a variometer gauge, and just the variometer gauge was the same prize as this reciever.
It will be great for gliders with no need for more than 6 ch :)

I´m sorry to say, but the plane wasn´t really far away (at least from what I could see in the video). This can all be done with a low/short range receiver like the AR620 Sport. To prove fullrange capabilities that plane would need to be at least twice the distance away. Likely this plane is too small to really test that as you lose sight too soon.
But I learned somehting new! Didn´t know that you can reset the altitude by pressing the CLEAR button! Thanks for that! :-)

Hi, I have a black dx9, so if I buy an AR6610T or AR8010T receiver will I have speed and altitude already integrated in the receiver without buying external accessories? The shopkeeper told me that without external sensors the speed and altitude do not work. Thanks

On the AR6610 T and the new AR8360T you have altitude and variometer but no speed, On the 8010T you will need external sensors.

Thanks for this video! I was able to setup my Dx9 and AR6610T same way. Only question i have is i set it on switch G, but when change, it still reads and does a multiple beep.

It is only the variometer that can be switch off, I don't know about your beep.
On my planes with telemetri I also have made volume control on the tx as here:

Hello, i just bought the receiver an my vario is working but it does not tell me the alitude. It always says that ther is no altitude data. But I can watch the altitude on my vario screen. That makes no sense...

Try to auto config again, and be sure that your transmitter have the latest software update.

Hello there thank you for your Videos on 6610t set up helping alot:) I went out to test the Variomerter today it seems to be working but the altitude read out is not working just says zero even when I'm up in the air? Any advice on what I need to do to get it working would be appreciated:)
BTW I'm using the DX6 telemetry transmitter.

Be sure that you have the latest software update on the transmitter, and maybe auto config again.Maybe this will help :)

Hi, thanks for the video! Is the Bind/Prog/SRXL2 Port as well usable to power the receiver so that all other channels are available (e.g. glider with a 4 servo wing)?

Yes, or you can use a y cable in one channel and put the power in there.

I got one but the voltage for the flight pack is off the battery is 12.5 volts but radio says it 10.5 any idea on how to adjust readout ? I also have a DX9

Are you sure that It’s not the lowest Volt reading. Try to re config again

Jeg har brugt over et år på at lære denne hobby via UA-cam og nettet.
Vi har ikke rigtigt nogle klubber her på Djursland men mangler en der kan give mig lidt råd og svare på spørgsmål.
Jeg har desværre ødelagt et par fly og får et nyt skrog til min Conscendo Evolution plus en nx6 (Købte den for 1600.-, brugt 2 gange) så rimelig heldigt, da jeg havde købt en brugt dx6e der endte med at opføre sig mærkeligt og ikke havde forward programering.
Jeg har en AR637TA, så jeg kan desværre ikke bruge Variometer og pengene er ikke så store i tiden.
Har efterlyst en billig 637T på fb men tror ikke folk lige har en. Kan du anbefale en anden RX med variometer eller bliver jeg nødt til at spare op til en AR637T? hehe, beklager den lange tekst. Elsker svæveflyvning og takker for dine videoer. De har været en kæmpe hjælp.
