Thanks fo this video and for highlighting the old access to the original platforms. My late grandfather was a signalman at Balquhidder and cycled to work from Crieff daily setting off at 3am, before he could afford his first car. He returned by train, but I thought he was doing this much later than 1951, but I might be mistaken.
That was some ride to be doing everyday. Thanks for sharing about your Grandfather, it's nice to hear personal memories of the times when these stations were open.
It must have been in the late 1950s when we holidayed in the camping coach at nearby Strathyre. I still have many happy memories of our holiday. Halcyon days.

Brilliantly done, that is living history, you are giving so much to us, our history is very very important for us all 👍👍👍🫶Grandpa Pete from France,
Thanks Pete. This was quite a good find just by chance we happened to be passing
Great! I drive past this site regularly, I must stop and have a look.
Yes definitely worth a look. Not much to see in the campsite at what was track level but whats by the road is impressive
Nice wee video, I live nearby so this interests me. It's always surprising to see how few trees there were in old days.
Thanks for watching. Its a really impressive relic
Great video!
Thanks Madeline
The remains of what is left are impressive, great video
Thanks Simon yes was totally different to the usual overgrown platforms. Really well preserved as well
