Thanks fo this video and for highlighting the old access to the original platforms. My late grandfather was a signalman at Balquhidder and cycled to work from Crieff daily setting off at
3am, before he could afford his first car. He returned by train, but I thought he was doing this much later than 1951, but I might be mistaken.

Yes definitely worth a look. Not much to see in the campsite at what was track level but whats by the road is impressive

It must have been in the late 1950s when we holidayed in the camping coach at nearby Strathyre.
I still have many happy memories of our holiday.
Halcyon days.
