  • In this episode, host Jack Beck demonstrates how God uses spiritual wilderness in our lives as seasons for growth.
    ABOUT THIS SERIES:
“Wilderness is not just an ecosystem-it’s a season of life.” - Jack Beck
Some of the Bible’s most familiar and powerful stories took place in the wilderness. The Israelites spent forty years in the wilderness. Jesus fasted in the wilderness for forty days, before He was tempted by Satan. Even the beloved “Shepherd Psalm,” Psalm 23, may have been inspired by the wilderness. In fact, the wilderness is mentioned more than three hundred times in Scripture.
Now, host Jack Beck ("The Holy Land: Connecting The Land With It's Stories") highlights the easily-overlooked truths of the wilderness-both the harsh, threatening ecosystem in which Bible people sometimes found themselves and the difficult seasons of life in which we often operate. By showing what the wilderness meant to people in Bible times, Jack also provides guidance for our own experience in barren times and places.
In "Land without Borders", Jack Beck will lead you on a journey of discovery, using the Bible’s physical landscape to heighten your spiritual experience.

I am in the wilderness right now. 2 weeks ago,Holy Spirit led me to Deuteronomy 8 and Psalm 46:10!!! Unemployment, horrible chronic illness and being a single parent, that trust question has been a daily subject. God has been so faithful during this wilderness(and whole life) that thinking about his goodness to us,makes me cry.Thank you for this video.

“The wilderness humble us, test us and teach us” . Even living in cities we are facing our own wilderness in our very lives. But God will always be there for us.

In the wilderness, it's sometimes feels hopeless like this will never end. Through worship, reading and trusting God's word, praying and fasting, fellowshipping with bredren and with the help of the Holy Spirit HE helps you. The Lord Jesus will give you the strength to endure, keeps you moving forward and eventually HE helps u out of that situation. So many lessons and growth comes from those experiences and you see the Lord Jesus Christ and His purpose in a new light. It's like we are going through processes to be like gold and when we reach the final stage he remove u and places u with HIS precious stones.

God told me I’m in a wilderness season. I’m depending on him for money right now, I had to leave a well paying job due to mental health reasons. It was my dream job but I fell away from God and into sin after I got it. Very hard lesson to learn. I’m not sure where God is taking me in my wilderness season I just know I have to trust Him. I know He wants to prune and refine me of things unpleasant. I have been pressing in, doing tongues and worship and seeking His voice and watching sermons. I pray I’ll be able to walk this out as best as possible. I also fell into drinking and smoking after I lost this job so I’m fighting temptation, while at the same time God is teaching me what crucifying the flesh means and what was accomplished on the cross of Calvary by Jesus 2,000 years ago and what that means for our spirit man vs our sinful man.

I often live in the wilderness. This is a good lesson. Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness to redeem Israel when he started his ministry that says a lot about our God
