I'm really like your Turkish cuisine, I'm from Malaysia Chinese and try to cook your breakfast it's delicious 😋and now I have more choice to cook when my country lookdown I cannot go out side eating and I can save money too . Thanks for sharing your cooking.
Assalam o alikum!!!! Ayşenur Abla!! This dish looks very healthy and yummy I will try this InshAllah!!!! Çok Teşekkür ederim for teaching us Turkish. I can understand and speak a little bit Turkish. Allah give you more success, a good health and a happy life! InshAllah! Lots of Love from Pakistan!!!!
Merhaba, Thank you for this recipe. I’ve made this dish several times without realising it was a Turkish dish. The only difference is that I didn’t put in the green beans. For the vegetarian option I added a handfull of chopped olives, just at the end of cooking.
Assalam alaikum, Ayesha Noor First of all your recipes are very authentic, and nowadays you'll make popular. Very appreciative things by you starting few Turkish words with pronouncement. Great respect from all viewers, Love from India. ❤
Love ❤️ this recipe!! Yes! Thank you 😊 so easy to prepare and yet healthy, and comforting. Great autumn 🍂 dish when there are so many root vegetables and different types of squashes available.
It’s amazing how many vegetables you are adding into your soup. In Afghan soup/شوربه we add meat, and sauté in onions and tomatoes and garlic, then add in carrots, potatoes and turnips. Then when it has cooked in pressure cooker for 30 min we finish it off with fresh coriander (or cilantro). It is great for winter time or when weather is cold.
Your background music is always so nice! If you are not a teacher- you should be! (Though you are younger than am I, you remind me of my own mother and she was a teacher!) Love your use of vegetables and thank you for another great lesson! 🌿🍓🌿
Merhaba ve iyi günler. Amerika'dan geliyorum ve Türkçe öğreniyorum. (Çok pratiğe ihtiyacım var!) Çok güzel bir yemek tarifı, teşekkür ederim. Hoşça kalın!
"Tomato" and "potato" are both plants brought from the Americas, so the names are derived/adapted from local Native American names. Tomato= Tomatl (from the Aztec's Nahautl language). "Potato" was derived from the Spanish "patata," which was a fusion of "batata" (Taino for sweet potato) and "papa" (Quechua for potato). It's interesting because Green Beans were also an indigenous American plant, but that doesn't have a similar-sounding word in Turkish. This was fun! I loved learning the Turkish words. Would love to try this recipe.
JazakAllah kardisim' nasel siniz very healthy recipi& also gone be tasty I m definitely try it ,its looks like veges meat soup good efforts keep it up afiyat olsun.
Very lovely stew. It looks very much like the roasted vegetables I cook in the oven (without the meat). And you cover it with foil and bake it. You don't need to stir at all. It is really delicious! Yours looks quite delicious too. Thank you for the Turkish words lesson; I found it very enjoyable.
Its like mix sabzi(veges) if we cook it without meat Wao too delicious😍and healthy recipe I will surely cook this recipe but I will dry all the juice(water )from it.Thanks for sharing
This dish was amazing. My husband is Arabic and he really enjoyed it. I’m learning new dishes to cook for him all the time. He really enjoy Middle Eastern and Turkish foods. We all really enjoyed this soup. Can l substitute lamb meat instead of the beef for next time? Will the cooking be the same order and way?
Hi dear, İ am glad you enjoyed. Of you use lamb since it will cook easier you can do it in the same order without precooking the meat and continue the steps. Hopefully it will cook that way too
I have to try this! It is very similar to stew we make (USA) but the layering will keep the various flavors where as ours have all he flavors blend. Thank you!
Is the Turkish language similar to Greek? Some of the words sound like Greek words. And what a beautiful meal. I love the Turkish style of cooking. I made something similar to the shashuka eggplant recipe you have on your channel. But I think I used too much olive oil since I felt nauseous after eating. I love olive oil in my food but for some reason if I use too much I feel sick 🙊
my favorite stew! i find it even tastier without meat as you can taste all the vegetables in more depth. and cooked in a clay pot in the oven really makes a difference!
@@Nmb009 i used aluminum foil with some holes poked in it, before i bought a clay pot with a clay lid. but the last minutes i take off the foil/lid to let the tomatos roast nicely. you do not need to stir when you bake it. just press the veggies in with a spoon or so, when halfway through so the moisture comes up and the vegetables get covered by it, to cook it more evenly. it is alway best to put slices of tomatos on top. btw you can also use parchment paper, if you are concerned about using aluminum foil.
@@Nmb009 i misunderstood. i thought you mean paper, as to cover the pot when you put it in the oven. but yes, i use black pepper. i also like to use red pepper flakes. spices are a thing of preference, so it is up to you.
Tomatoes and potatoes are from the Americas. The word potato is from the Taino (from the Caribbean) word "batata," actually for their sweet potatoes, which the Spanish first used the word "patate" and then later the more widely recognized potatoes from the Andes. Quechuan call potatoes "papas." The word tomato is from the Aztecs word "tomatl" known as water fruit. It's worth noting that natives in Mexico still use a hard "t," almost sounding like a "d."
Thanks for sharing. It looks delicious. It's getting colder here, at long last. Stews are a great meal. You asked about potatoes. They originate from Peru and were brought to Euope by the Spanish conquerors of the native Inca people in the 1500's. Other foods whose origins are in the New World are: tomatoes, pumpkin and many other squashes, many legumes such as pinto beans, black beans, kidney beans, black eyed peas, etc, what we now call corn (on the cob, popcorn), and I believe peanuts. In Middle Ages, the word "corn" meant basically any grain and would include barley, spelt, rye, and wheat.
According to Wikipedia, the word 'potato' comes from the Spanish word 'patata' which in turn comes from a hybrid of the Taino 'batata' and Quechua 'papa', and originally referred to the sweet potato. So; from the Americas!
