Hey, just gotta say, I'm loving your videos. Your EVH Christmas marathon video came up on my YT feed on, of all days, Christmas and I gorged on it; watch the whole 2+ hours in one sitting. I had no idea your channel was out there. Anyway, it inspired me to build a 5150 replica. I found a Kramer Baretta Special at GC for $160. I have stripped it down, and started the process by painting it first with Rustoleum 2x white. I'll let that cure for about a week then tape it off and shoot the Apple Red. Already ordered a non-zebra Wilkinson alnico V pickup, locking tuners, Graphtech nut, Borne 500k pot, MXR volume knob, and a Floyd rat tail bridge. I'll eventually finish it off with a can of SprayMax 2k satin clear. Again, I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for taking the time and effort to show the rest of us how it is done!
Love what you do to save these beautiful guitars i get all my guitars from pawn shops and bring them back to life and keep them in my collection id love to have something from your collection love your crackle jobs they rock .im from cape breton Island n.s
It would have been neat to leave the original paint, and use all transparent lacquers. With the silver sparkle beneath, that should make it pop, but could be restored to original if someone chose.

I'm interested in what you're going to do with the les paul jr body and the jackson style neck I donotaed
Also, what brand of paint would be the best for a matte black guitar?
