Ren is genuis level. He may not be a religious person, but he is well versed in various topics and seems to have a grasp on scripture. If you have never faced an illness that threatens your life or your future ambitions, Rens' words hit really hard. I was 32 when I was told to plan my funeral. - "you have less than 6 months," they said. I accepted the terms and tried to just maintain normalcy while being ill and skeletal (normal for me was 205 lbs, I was 103 lbs at the time). Slowly, the tables turned, and I got better despite the doctors. I am now 61 years of age, quite healthy, and happily retired. For anyone facing the unknown, don't fear. We have little control over death, but we can control the way we live our lives and what we leave as legacy. I know mine has been wild and fun, and I will leave this earth with no regrets, no secrets, and abundant physical reminders from my life's work. I wish the best for everyone.
You are my FAVORITE Ren reactor! You GET his multi-layered brilliance on a deeply spiritual level as he is truly a gift desperately needed by humanity. I am SO in sync with your views on not being religious but being in relationship with God, in whatever form that takes for each individual. I love your being all about having a dialog and how Ren's music, in particular, opens the way for meaningful conversation. 🙋♀️💖
@barbaralawrence6226 I truly believe in dialogue, discussions, group processes that causes us to question our own beliefs and opinions. Without that, we're have minimal growth and become stunted in mind. Our minds are meant to expand.
Ren has stated in his Twitch streams that he’s agnostic, but he loves the imagery and stories from the Bible and other religious texts. I agree with you that his use of them really support dialogue, which he’s also stated many times is what he wants to do with all polarized perspectives. I loved your reaction! You’re so thoughtful and appreciative-always great to watch.
Ten months later and he posted a thing on his community page ua-cam.com/channels/qq3VcwPGseErHUa0-xLInQ.htmlcommunity?lb=UgkxeCSx5K9OkYwmC2a2-mz67JBmp8ppsPWn "Communicate better"
I think you would enjoy an interview Ren did on 'The Zach Sang Show' in which he explains a lot of what he has been through.Including this song and that the 'clawing at the laminate' is literal also, the pig mask gets explained too :)
The length and extent of his illness made him question a lot of things. The beginning of the song is literally true. The pain and psychosis had him laying on the kitchen floor clawing at the flooring. He also talked about riding in a car and jumping out, taking off his clothes and laying in the road naked, thinking that doing something unexpected would drive out his "demons." We all have some sort of pain that we deal with, but I can't imagine what he has, and is going through.
yeah, Eden isn't a song, it's Ren discussing spirituality to a background storyboard, originally aired at the finality of his Money Game promotion/scavenger hunt, definitely worth a look.
He should get a Grammy. That's how talented he is. He always paints a picture between good and evil. That is exactly the Christian life. Living In Faith Everyday
This was my personal dark mantra for a couple of days in a hospital bed. I love his little roster of musical angels Clapton, Hendrix, whom i'd already pegged as a prophet, Kendrick Lamar, who i need to go listen to, and Lennon a martyr to obsessive fandom. Then King and Gandhi last, Ren, as others have pointed out, is an agnostic who believes. According to him he believes in us.
What a great reaction! ❤ This song does get better and better, it takes many listens. Ren has also said that he doesn't know where he lands with spirituality and religion, maybe eternally.
It's no fun to do the seven heavenly virtues. He is brilliant. He describes physical pain so clearly, and it is tragically beautiful. I'm a chronic silent pain patient with more than I could list here wrong with me. None apparant to the naked eye. Only one that has felt that kind of pain knows it so intimately. He is my body's poet.
Best reaction channel on UA-cam. So great. Most intuitive, clever, witty and entertaining reacter of them all. And, for lack of a better word, so pleasant to listen to. Not trying to talk about anyone else but it’s sooooo jarring when someone suddenly shrieks or screams into your ears during a video. With Britt, there’s none of that but still so much enthusiasm and wonderful thoughts and insight. I’ve been yappin in the comments all day so… just commenting again for the algorithm. WHY? Cuz I’ve never seen this channel pop up in my feed until TODAY! Why?? So weird. So salty about that. But, hey, I’m stuck in bed so maybe it was indeed perfect timing Thanks!
Your reactions are brilliant. Always excwllwnt Ren analysis. There is nothing better than seeing how art totally can take charge of someone's complete attention and really how you can unobtrusively align faith into a lot of your reviews without that taking precedence , but excellent observations. Nice one :)
Ren is expressing the pain he went through at one of the worse times of his illness in this song ..He is begging for help from God to ease his suffering but is getting no answers or relief ..He kneels at the alter of his own disease and he begs ... The rest of the song should take you on a self explanatory journey of Rens experiences during this time frame in his life ... this is genius writing and production at the very top tier ..nice reaction
If you want to know what goes on with his brain, watch his long form interviews with The Charismatic Voice, Knox Hill, Zach Sang, Justin Hawkins, and Chris Liepe. Some folks have even reacted to them, which I think is fun. Also, for his thoughts all on his own, watch the 8 minute clip of his Twitch Stream right after Hi Ren released (it’s on UA-cam), his 1 million subscribers video, his video entitled Eden (came out as soon as the real life money game ended and when MG3 premiered), and any of his UA-cam streams. He’s exactly as fascinating as you’d want him to be, but also charmingly goofy. His Patreon is worthwhile as well.
This is one of my favorites by Ren too, Great reaction. Please do his new cover mash up of Fred Again. It’s so good. I know you will love it. It is now my favorite, well everything Ren does is my favorite. 😊Thank you. ❤❤❤
"pay a lot of money to know what goes on in his brain" well.... He does have a Patreon 😁 Join the club and learn how to do the tale of jenny and screech.
This should be every reactors first experience with Ren. Imagine listening to his other works thru the lens of what he’s endured. They all hit a little different knowing depth of suffering. 13 years worth.
You're best reaction to date me for. Of course I'm a Ren fan but I've been following you since your mic was 20 dbs lower then the music lol. Loved your reaction. Cheers
"We have all been here." We have NOT all been where Ren was. The beginning of this song is a depiction of the time when his suffering - mental AND physical pain - broke him & he slipped into psychosis. He is in pain to this day. He has said that he is now probably about 70% better - after 13 years - & his legs still hurt every day - like bones on fire.
13:01 Have you ever seen the aftermath of a tornado? This is what it looks like inside his head. But he gained the ability to reorganize this chaos and turn it into lyrics so many can relate to, so many can't put into words because they are overwhelmed by the chaos.
Great reaction as always. Wait till you hear the new song he released last Thursday. Fred again Mashup. Fred again is a British edm artist. Ren does a Mashup of 5 songs that may be one of his top 3 songs of all time so far. In the same class as chalk outlines, for Joe and how to be me.
Ren's said that he's not religious but that he enjoys employing religious imagery to illustrate his ideas. Not just Christian imagery either. He's also employed Islamic, Buddhist and Hindu imagery too. Even an occasional image from old pagan religions. :)
One of my favorite things about Ren is his music hits me in the heart songs like this you can hear his emotion in it especially when he’s not really singing it’s more talking but you can feel that emotion everytime I hear this song I always get sad towards the end because you can see hear and feel his emotions
Indeed he is the peoples artist, a generational talent. I love this song, probably my favourite off the Sick Boi album. In terms of his beliefs, not sure if you saw his Eden story, he's an agnostic...who believes! I love the musical influences he drops in his songs.
"You can count on Ren for a jump scare" is probably the best way I've ever heard this explained... especially since my kids say "jump scare" when they're called out on something true (or get caught doing something they're not supposed to)!
Like other have said, he’s stated as being agnostic, but during the darker parts of his journey he dove deep into different religions trying to find peace. He didn’t ultimately find it, but he was left with an appreciation for various themes and imagery which makes it into his music since, and did help form his personal philosophy and belief in compassion.
Britt, I LOVE how Ren just touched your soul. I could watch you listen to Ren songs all day long, and it's not 'just' because you're beautiful. For a much lighter and fun song of his, check out 'GIRLS!'. You'll love it.
When the song ended you had the same face i did the first time. That mind blowm orgasm o face. Cause thats what it is with Ren almost every somg delivers a mindgasm of ryhthmic sound and lyrical caresses, curling your toes, leaving brains in messes..

In "Eden" Ren said he is an agnostic who wants to believe. Personally I just think no matter what he believes or doesn't, he is a genius and an all round good human being. Great reaction as always.
Fear of the unknown keeps the religion going. There's a whole lot of truth in that. In an interview ren said he went to a number of different religions hoping one of them would ease his pain and suffering, none of them did, including Christianity. This is a very dark song but it' the truth of the dark places ren has been too. Way more then the vast majority of people have ever been too. However if people can relate to it, even in a less intense way than ren did that's a positive thing. As he says at the end of hi ren, we must remember we are all human.
This is the day that Ren fell into psychosis from the extreme pain and despair from an immune reaction that he was very hopeful for. So instead of helping him at the cost of 6,000 pounds, it made him worse . He has been sick and in pain for 13 years now.

Great reaction. You catched many details the first time hearing it. I read in a comment (Sorry can't find the source) that the "God tied a noose to his neck..." lines came from a halucination Ren had during his psychosis. Wanna recommend 'Ren ft. Bibi - Crutch'. Absolutely great song, so heartbreaking, beautiful and deep. Absolutely underrated in my opinion. There are far too few reactions for it. "Crutch" dates back to a time when Ren thought he wouldn't live much longer. Bibi was his girlfriend at that time and launched an appeal for donations for his treatment/diagnosis.
Haha , so you have a new favourite Ren song. Wait till the next one that will then be your favourite and so on and so on. Ren is an absolute genius. Peace.
A couple of pointers 6 and 7 = 13.13 is the number of years he’s been sick. Maybe the most meaningful lines are ‘wanna be me huh? Grass isn’t greener’, and ‘we exile the shepherds and follow the sheep’.
Also pain has been his curse and blessing ‘ pain makes money when the music lands,…..rain down Parmesan. Also Clapton’s song was written for his 4 year old son, who died when he fell out of the 30th floor window of his NYC apartment when the cleaners mistakenly left it open.
So I could see the confused look at the start - its Welsh - translated means "sickness is my teachers my smile broke my bones feel old here lies the body of Ren"
Ren is genuis level. He may not be a religious person, but he is well versed in various topics and seems to have a grasp on scripture. It's amazing.

"...crime scene, forensic" (for Ren's sick). Genius! :)
You should definitely listen, and react to, "Eden" and his latest track "Fred Again Mashup ". This was a fantastic reaction as usual.
There’s a dope video related to this of Ren reacting to Harry Mack freestyling about Ren while this dope artist RikaShae creates a portrait of Ren!

Ren is the greatest artist and most creative musician since the peak of prog rock.

Probably the best seven sins reactions I’ve seen tbf….. love how real you are 👍🏼🇬🇧
I think this song has possibly the greatest lyrics Ren ever wrote. Really amazing.

To answer your Own question... do Rens "Dear God"!!!
Double Dog Dare Ya!!! Lol
It's a great one, less reacted to unfortunately
Indeed he is the peoples artist, a generational talent. I love this song, probably my favourite off the Sick Boi album. In terms of his beliefs, not sure if you saw his Eden story, he's an agnostic...who believes! I love the musical influences he drops in his songs.
Funny reaction, your facial expressions crack me up. Genius song!
Fantastic reaction and may i say you have a beautiful singing voice
For sure my favorite Ren song too!Great reaction as always ❤
Right on! The people's artist! I love that you stated this.
"You can count on Ren for a jump scare" is probably the best way I've ever heard this explained... especially since my kids say "jump scare" when they're called out on something true (or get caught doing something they're not supposed to)!
Forever he is the peoples artist. Yup
Ren said he was an agnostic (someone who believes in God but not religion) many do. A brilliant song!
ren is the best out there
Every time i hear this man iam blown away. What a genius.
Always good to pay it forward and share the og in the description...
Priceless good reaction - thank you!!! God bless. One World one future ❤
Loved your reaction live ren ...thank-you
So many layers. Thanks for a great react! 🥰
Wonderful reaction! Thank you!

Ren has about 200 songs that he's created and performed he also has a back catalogue of around 1000 song ideas on a hard drive. ❤
I live with pain daily. So glad someone (Ren) was able to write a song that tells it like it is.
Britt, I LOVE how Ren just touched your soul. I could watch you listen to Ren songs all day long, and it's not 'just' because you're beautiful. For a much lighter and fun song of his, check out 'GIRLS!'. You'll love it.
You would love the vocals on Ren's latest release, Fred Again Mashup. Stunning, acoustic, lots of pathos. For the next Ren reaction anyway
I'll check it out!
When the song ended you had the same face i did the first time. That mind blowm orgasm o face. Cause thats what it is with Ren almost every somg delivers a mindgasm of ryhthmic sound and lyrical caresses, curling your toes, leaving brains in messes..
Ren said if Money Game 3 eas his favorite video he has made then this would probably be his favorite song that he has made thus far. Great reaction
Britt...This song is about his first psychotic break.. He was laying on his kitchen floor writhing in pain when he lost grip of reality... When he says "God tied a noose to his neck and walked to the edge and jumped" he is being literal, that is what he saw in his minds eye.. How he can put this to words and make a song out if it is beyond my comprehension..
This is my second favorite Ren song. It was my favorite until last Thursday. You've got to watch his latest: Fred Again Mashup. It's so good.
the beat drop/switch with the lyric Mack 10... just hits.
Awesome reaction! You slayed it
Great Reaction Britt. As always.
Thank you!! 😁
you want to see ren preach react to Eden! thats a lesson and at the end he says hes agnostic that believes in us, humanity! peace and light to you britt❤
#RenMakesMusic #Ren 🔥🔥!! 🌎🧡
I agree 💯, he is a master messenger. This also my first listen ❤
great stuff britt
The way you described this musical journey, tunnels and underground caves. That was a great way to put it. ♥️♥️🔥🔥
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love you and your reations, keep them coming.
We're all sinners.
Late to thread so this may have been noted. Ren called himself agnostic. He grew up in a Christian environment so is well versed in the faith.
Christianity is embedded in Western culture. So much that even atheists and agnostics reference Christian imagery. It’s a way to connect with a lot of people, to get your message across. I think of Ren as a humanist. Believing in each other
Thanks for sharing.✌️
If I don’t listen to REN for the rest of the year he’ll still be in the top spot in my Spotify wrapped 😅
" Peolpe's Artist " spot on! Lovely reaction Britt.
Loved your reaction!!❤❤
Ren has mentioned that he's agnostic. I also really enjoy the biblical references, he's an artist that everyone can enjoy.
He started the song singing in the Welsh language. The 1'st of march is still David's day, the patron saint of Wales. Other notable Welsh singers/bands tom Jones (as you know), 'the stereophnics'👌🏼, 'super furry animals', 'the manic street preachers ', 'shirley bassey'. Keep that Welsh connection going for st David's day please 🤞🏼✊🏼🏴🇺🇸
Everyone is a sinner.
In the song "Eden" he says that he is an agnostic
Questions are great. It starts conversations.
Until now I think your reaction to Ren's 'How to be Me' was my favourite reaction to anything by anyone ever, but your silence at the end of this was just hilarious and brilliant! 🤣
"Pain wandered my body an uninvited guest. Bones are the home where the devil rests."
Lymes disease was attacking his bones... ='(.
Question for ya... how does Ren NOT have his own playlist?
The more ya hear, the more you'll enjoy, Best make one! Lol
He’s an encyclopedia on so many subjects.
Britt out here spitting sermons pastors wish they could. So happy I found this channel.
This is the day that Ren fell into psychosis from the extreme pain and despair from an immune reaction that he was very hopeful for. So instead of helping him at the cost of 6,000 pounds, it made him worse . He has been sick and in pain for 13 years now.
Love you love your reactions....especially this one.
Thank you so much 😁🖤
@@brittreacts Britt...i am not a 'special' subscriber or anything, but if possible, I would love to see you react to Lara Fabian singing "Je suis malade".....it is in French....but there are versions with very good captions..I think you would love it. Peace and love from Australia.
Thank you
Check out the album liner art for Stevie Wonder's Inner Visions LP -- a thoughtless girl gets burned, and becomes wiser as a result - but all done in symbolic art, depicting the process of "sadder but wiser" - cosmic, and African in style which is cool
Every song is our favorite, until the next one.
I love the use of the word 'Forensic' cause it sounds like 'for Ren's sic' most reactors miss that 😊
Great reaction.
Soon as I got the album and hit play on song 1, this wasy favorite ever since.
Most of the people i introduced it to weren't loving it
Ren just dropped a new 1 couple days ago I got a feeling you will really enjoy it
Haha , so you have a new favourite Ren song. Wait till the next one that will then be your favourite and so on and so on. Ren is an absolute genius. Peace.

You might wanna react to Ren's new "Kujo beat down". Regardless love this reaction and excited to see more of your stuff!
When I was 14 I had a counselor who had been a nun. She was the 1st one who told me I could be mad at God.

"sickness is my teachers
my smile broke
my bones feel old
here lies the body of Ren"
My favorite too! ❤🔥
Great reaction 🖤
