Brother, my DHCP server is not working. Unidentified network. No internet access. It's sending packets but not recieving packets. Please help. I am using Usb type c to ethernet adapter.
If you're unable to see the secondary DNS server on your network configuration, it could be due to several reasons. Here's how you can troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue: Check Network Configuration: Go to your device's network settings. Ensure you're looking at the correct network interface (e.g., Ethernet or Wi-Fi). Verify that you've configured both the primary and secondary DNS servers correctly. Manual DNS Configuration: If you're manually configuring DNS servers, make sure you've entered the correct IP addresses for both the primary and secondary DNS servers. Double-check for any typographical errors. DNS Server Availability: Confirm that the secondary DNS server you're trying to use is operational. Sometimes, DNS servers can go offline or experience issues. Router or DHCP Settings: If you're using a router that provides DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) services, check your router settings to see if it's properly configured to assign both primary and secondary DNS servers to connected devices. ISP DNS Settings: Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may provide DNS servers. In some cases, they may only provide a primary DNS server, and you may not have a secondary DNS server from them. Firewall or Security Software: If you have security software or a firewall running on your device, it might be blocking access to certain DNS servers. Check your security software settings to ensure it's not causing the issue. Operating System Issues: Sometimes, issues with the operating system can prevent the secondary DNS server from being displayed correctly. Try restarting your device to see if the issue persists. Use Google's DNS Servers as a Test: As a test, you can manually set your DNS servers to use Google's public DNS servers: Primary: 8.8.8.8 Secondary: 8.8.4.4 If you can see and use Google's DNS servers as secondary, it might indicate an issue with the DNS server you were originally trying to use. Contact Your ISP or Network Administrator: If you're still unable to see or use the secondary DNS server, it's a good idea to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or network administrator for assistance. They may be able to provide specific guidance or check for any network issues. By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot the issue with the secondary DNS server and ensure that your network configuration is set up correctly.
