Tanya, do not let some grumpy people make you feel bad. You are not too loud at all. Those folks who think so can turn down their volume. You are half the reason we watch and love these videos. This American loves you and Steve! I don't even have a horse. And I've never owned one but love watching you and Steve and seeing him work his magic. You, my dear, are also part of the magic!!! Don't change for those rude people who weren't taught decency and decorum.

If Tanya were more quiet, there'd be peeps complaining she was not loud enough. Haters going to hate. Tanya just be your authentic self, that's always best and the majority will prefer it, real authentic character feels more comfortable for most people. If some haters hate on you for it, my advice is put a big grin on your face and be yourself even harder, that's how you win with school yard bullies. It's really no different than when you were in kindergarten, some people have not grown out of that phase sadly and still act like they are 5 year old bullies. (All that being said, the main sound prob you have IMO is when the original sound is soft and then Steve does a much louder voice over (ie the sound volume has been set much higher for the added track) and then it goes back and forth between the two and I have to keep resetting the sound, that is a technical issue that in a perfect world, you might try to sort out a bit by matching the voice over volume a bit closer the spoken parts of the original recording)

Tanya I am a 58 year old living in Australia. I am not a horse person and have had no contact with one since I was a kid. I watch your videos because it delights me to see Steve help a confused or traumatised horse. It is such a joy to see the peace that on if these majestic animals finds when they have worked through problems with Steve. It grieves me to hear you apologise for being noisy. You and Steve have never claimed to be a professional production company. You provide a service for a paying customer and publish it FREE for the enjoyment and education of anyone who wants to watch. If someone doesn’t like what you produce they can pay for a consultation and then they can comment on what they don’t like.
Keep on being you, Steve I’m sure could not do what he does without the help and support that you give him. Remember “behind every great man is a great woman” and because you are not in front of the camera doesn’t mean you are less a part of the process.
I am happy for Steve or Charlotte to read all or part of this out. You do not get enough recognition for the work you put in and certainly do not deserve any criticism.
    Keep on being you. 😘
    God bless you both.
    Regards Anne Mitchell.

Steve, you invite the horse to trust you, you show the horse you are his leader, you give the horse a physical language so it can communicate with, you then gift the horse the tools to enable him to co-operate with you , you enable him to understand what you are asking him to do, and you both use your shared language and tools to contentedly and calmly fulfil your request. The horse knows you understand what his needs and feelings are, and quietly he gifts his trust to you knowing he is safe in your care, and he’s being listened to. Such an honour to observe you at your work. Thankyou.

Steve and Tanya are in the entertainment business and the growth of their horsemanship channel is dependent upon their understanding that. To ask honest people to "bugger off" when they are sharing their reaction to certain aspects of the videos, e g -Tanya's role, is doing a disservice to the channel.
A broad spectrum of reactions and opinions, freely expressed in the comments here, may be of greater value to Steve and Tanya to improve their product and make even more informative and entertaining videos, than stomping down "naysayers" and chasing off those who do not agree 100 per cent to everything S & T do.

Brilliant session! Yes, I totally agree he didn’t like that area where they were mounting him. It may very well have been the horses in the stalls behind him … whatever. But it was an excellent idea to move the mounting block to that new area, where there’s no negative history or experiences, to contend with.
He seemed to catch on quite quickly … I think it was also good he was still green vs. this being a habit developed years ago!

I really really like the color and build of this young one. He has such a nice look. Wish we could see more how he moves. How you use his missteps as a teaching tool is amazing. Thank you for sharing.🐴

Hi Steve & Tanya. Loved the video. We get so much pleasure watching you teach the horses Steve, and Tanya we adore you. Speak up as you feel fit. It is not easy standing in one position for a length of time & we love your contribution. Also love when you show us where you are going for a meal. Sorry there are some sour people out there. Perhaps Steve could train them !!! Love from New Zealand.❤❤

Defibrillators will talk you through what you need to do. Just open it up and turn it on and follow the voice instructions.

Thanks for that info. I did not know that. Why does government always fail in its responsibilities to inform us with good information?
I am viewing from the US and we have not been educated beyond "Here's a thing labeled "DEFRIBRILLATOR." It cost a lot of money. Use it only when necessary because if you use it improperly it can kill someone." They never said that there are audio instructions that will guide you on its use.

@@meloniedropik3539 I live in NZ and it's very normal here to have a first aid certificate - it is encouraged under our health and safety act where people can expect a safe workplace (which includes volunteering). So teachers, sports coaches, office workers, labourers all sorts have a first aid certificate usually covering CPR and AED as well. It needs renewing every 2 years and your employer (or sports club/volunteer group) will pay for it 99% of the time - got to meet those requirements under the law!
But if you do first aid and make a mistake, don't save the day, or break a few ribs doing CPR then you cannot be sued for damages. We have public liability here where your medical costs are covered in an accident by the government.
So people aren't scared to do first aid, and it's very normalised to be taught it.
When an AED is installed in your building you'll usually be "inducted" - the company will explain to everyone quickly what it is, that you can just open the box, if this light is flashing it means the battery needs replaced etc. It's a tool to be used and looked after.

People who think you are a distraction are probably new and just haven’t learned yet that this channel isn’t just about horsemanship-even though that’s a large part of it. I thought that the first time I saw it-long ago. Now I realize that it is about a lot more than just Steve and the horses Its about the friendship we’ve established with your whole family and Jimmy and Chevy, Dan and Charlotte little ones too. Once they get to know you they will love you and enjoy your comments. I love the way you can’t pass a cat or puppy or horse without petting them. I’m the same way-I love animals!

The problem is usually not that the horse does not understand the human, it's that the human does not understand the horse.

If Tanya stops talking, alot of us will stop watching. So there, to all of you complainers!
Perhaps they meant to say that the audio volume levels could do with some post-production work because we do have to turn the volume way up to hear Steve working with the horse. Any sound that occurs close to the camera (people talking, rooster crowing, dog barking, wind blowing) does blow your eardrums out when you are using earbuds and have the volume turned up to 11 (as the cool kids used to say). If there is a way to even out the audio, I would find it much more pleasant to listen with my earbuds and would appreciate you son's efforts (sorry, I can't be sure I remember his name).
    Please don't stop talking, Tanya!

I guess very few owners have the mindset to repeat something that often, thx for your great videos, I am really fascinated and amazed how „simple“ and subtle your solutions are, it’s not horse whispering, rather Reading the horses and training the humans

Tanya its not that you're too loud its just the mic is v close to you - its just a technical thing that can probably be solved with some kind of sound balancing .. if you can be bothered! I know they have to do it in TV .. But I'm loving how loud you are on this video. Its people .. they have to adjust and will do if they are genuinely interested.. You are a team. And people just have to get on with it! Thank you for these videos. I grew up around horses and wish I could have a horse now at aged 61! But this is a great comfort to me to see how Steve works and helps these lovely horses and people! And we wouldnt see it if not for you! 💚❤ Keep on keeping on..

Excellent educational video once again 👏 👌 👍. Beautiful horse and a cooperative, fast learner 🦄
Tanya, the only reason that your voice is a bit louder, is cos you're closer to the mic 🎤. I'd like to to say that Tanya's filming is brilliant and thanks you for putting so much effort into it, you are both essential to the success of these videos - well done team! ❤

I enjoyed this video a lot. The methods and reasons Steve employs while handling horses thinking and learning helps me be more effective when I train my dogs. Not the same, but similar goals in training. I love horses still even though I can't ride them anymore and I learn from each video and get my "horse fix" at the same time.

What a great video to help horses and riders! Like you, I wish I’d known this technique 30 - 40 years ago. (When I was a kid, I used to climb on my horse’s neck and slide down onto her back from a fence. Riding bareback with a halter. 🤣)💚💚💚

Wonderful step by step demonstration. Thank you. My little horse is quite good at standing, but one day she was startled and left me in the dirt. Not much damage to me. I made her back around the entire arena then got on her and enjoyed a nice ride. I swear, she apologized to me for the next 2 weeks. I feel she is getting a bit nonchalant about mounting. We will have a refresher lesson. 😊

Tanya, as Steve says you can’t please everyone. And as a matter of fact, being from America, I remember learning a famous quote sometimes attributed to Abraham Lincoln (although I can’t prove it) that goes something like this:
You can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time but you will never please ALL of the people ALL of the time!
And that was said well over 100 years ago. So people will always have their own opinions and so what? So many people, myself included, love you just the way you are! So do what you do best and be yourself!
