View from the Only Deck - Diesel Dusk: Bus Éireann VWL316 on Route 306 in Limerick on Sunday, 4/2/24

An almost-five minute recording (I accidentally stopped it) captured on National Transport Authority/Bus Éireann (Roxboro, Limerick) Wright Eclipse Urban Volvo B7RLE VWL316 (12-D-8577) on Sunday morning, 4th February 2024 whilst travelling on Limerick City Route 306 between Henry Street and Hassett's Cross via Shelbourne Road.
With the imminent electrification of BÉ city services in Limerick, all the remaining 100% diesel-powered buses are expected to cascade towards Counties Louth and Meath.
VWL316 is one of only four single-deck buses left in BÉ's Limerick City fleet . I had actually not travelled on her for over two years. I may not travel on her again.
The VWL class has been in Limerick continuously since late 2007 and they are the only members of the fleet with red seat fabric. I captured this recording for posterity.

Wait a sec first 306 single decker then double decker now back being single decker

Well the bus on the 306 also does the 305A on Sundays and apart from a lack of pax, I imagine that they don't want a double decker going into the Island. I imagine that the 306 will revert to double deck on Tuesday.

I can recall back in 2015 I think being on a 02 VWL on the 221 with a bad idle
