very nice, i wish this video came out like a month earlier than end of Feb'19. Dropping the subframe really helps very much otherwise its a big struggle to wiggle the box out and especially in. The only concern after that, and its real, is that the subframe can be misaligned after that so its better to mark its original position with paint, preferably spray in appropriate color.
I’ve got my ST170 up and ready to change it’s clutch. Going from the Ford Australia factory workshop manual they are saying to drop the whole subframe, drain and disconnect the power steering. I like this method and had watched this before I looked at the manual. I’ll still drop my sub for cleaning/painting and to look for a cause of a steering knock, but this will be great for my other low k car (who’s clutch I also blew) I’m Installing the RTS/Turbosport single mass fly/clutch kit.The ARP flywheel bolts I got are have a flat head and fasten with a socket. I’ve never done a clutch this helps a whole lot, thanks!
@WMCS I can't find it mate I know you've done the diesel mondeo st just looking at doing my 2.5 st clutch (done a few clutches myself before) but the st 2.5 clutch looks a nightmare
Thanks for the video. I've never fixed any cars myself. I want to ask you. How much torque should be applied to the clutch screw to tighten it? And I saw the whole demolition process was very complicated. For a rookie. How to put them back after they've been taken apart? I feel like even though I'm familiar with the demolition process. I might get confused when I reverse-install it.
Hi Xi Chen ... The process is not too bad if tackled with much patience... On this particular model a lot of bits are in the way of the two top bolts only. Once they are out. You should be fine.
You're a champion doing this in one go...I'm on day 3 for mine.

Do you remember what size torx was used to
Remove the flywheel
Bryan Wagner it’s a T55... but on the later model it’s a female torx 45... hope that helps.
