It’s miles out of my price range but honestly don’t think it’s over priced. The materials, machining and design work that’s gone into it really show. Go to a machine shop and ask them to make one for you, you’ll see Solar are actually pretty reasonably priced.
Nice review, shame you had the buzz bars back to front 😂😂😂 that’s why you had to have the front legs so low to try and level your rods! Proper schoolboy error 😂😂😂😂😂
I have an original solar supreme stainless pod that bought in the 90s, I think it is better than this latest one. Lighter, less bulky, takes seconds to set up. It’s a fancy rod rest, no need to reinvent the wheel.
Pod aside - The Carp scene is in the process of pricing itself out of the market. I'm guilty of it spending nearly £800 on a tempest 150. Normally I would be excited but, this time reality set in.
Great review as always and without a doubt one if not the nicest pod on the market ,but that’s a new bivvy with wrap for someone with a budget like mine ,don’t get me wrong it’s well worth every penny that solar charge but out of range for a lot of people
@danielalaxander3961 : You’ve taken a very naive and simplistic view which your comments reflect. The company that make this piece of kit are at liberty to charge whatever they like for it. Conversely, you are at liberty not to buy it……whether other people think it’s fine or not to buy it is totally and utterly irrelevant. Also calling it a chunk of metal just shows your ignorance. You obviously aren’t involved in engineering for a living. Probably a milkman ( no disrespect to milkmen intended).
I had the first solar one I remember being in my teens and it costing 160 and thinking wow thats a lot lool They do last years so i agree you get what you pay for
Well I bought the solar P1 landing net said to be the best money can buy it broke within the first few weeks, I reached out to solar but they didn’t want to know, I will never buy another solar product ever again.
That looks the dogs dangly bits but I have only recently got the Summit Colosseum and her indoors would throw a wobly if I even thought of spending that much on a pod
nice review as always, pods are a funny bit off kit plenty of lower price ones but most are near useless for anything other than a bit of fair weather fishing. Might treat myself to one seems i just been kicked off my syndicate, long story won't bore ya, nothing to do with fish.
It's like a Rolls Royce Ghost - Heavy, overpriced, isn't better at its job than more reasonably priced competitors and is more about status than anything else.

Still the original world wide pod is in my opinion the best without any doubts …. Owning it since 2016 and really love it.

It is a well engineered piece of perfection, not for me to be honest but still a nice bit of kit.

£450 for a rod pod carp fishing has gone crazy and people think it’s fine charging theese prices for a chunk of metal
450. 2 days work plus materials come on its nothing
Built to LAST

£499 for a product to last a lifetime is worthwhile, mine arrived last week! Decent bit of kit.
How has your experience with it been
It has been first class. Some adjustable uprights would have made it even better, really happy with it. 👍
Did you have to buy the buzzbars to be able to use it as im not sure if i need to buy them too for it to even work
Buzzbars would need to purchased separately.
You knew why you put that price last. Had i known that at the beginning i wouldnt have watched any further
I'm old school. Preferring banksticks so I can point the rod tip directly at the bait for best bite detection. I use JAG auger's.
Can you adjust the crossbars so you can fish in a fan? (Butrest closer together and bite alarms more spread out)
I love my solar globetrotter, I've had it since the first launch, can I trade it in for a discount on the upgrade 🤔. Great review as always.
Hello, wich size are Back and Front Buzzers in the Video? Thank you very much
I had the first solar one I remember being in my teens and it costing 160 and thinking wow thats a lot lool They do last years so i agree you get what you pay for
Love my solar p1 world wide! this looks awesome!
I love it, I love that it’s expensive, less will have it, makes it more special, I’m getting one
Does it come with buzz bars?
what kind of buzzerbars did u put on it? its not the carbon p1 right?
thanks
Got quite a bit of solar stuff the best gear I've ever bought
Well I bought the solar P1 landing net said to be the best money can buy it broke within the first few weeks, I reached out to solar but they didn’t want to know, I will never buy another solar product ever again.

Now thats goooodlooking
Just won a boss pod on eBay for £30 lol how much were they brand new ?
I’ve still got the original sod pod,
Best pod ever

The nuts 😎👍🏽
Got a brand new, Solar A1 GT 3 Rod Pod for sale or swap, never been used or been on the bank, ill take £140 or swap for other carp tackle
Til early next year.
Bit pricey but it’s good
Can’t beat jag🇬🇧
Your not wrong I keep trying to justify spending that much money on a pod
Bastard, I think you finally got me :(
oh nononononono you didnt not at that price, fookinhell
I use twigs
the price tag makes this piece of metal one of the worst investments ever.
We spend all our time being camo ! Wtf would I buy a shinny rod pod 😳
It's like a Rolls Royce Ghost - Heavy, overpriced, isn't better at its job than more reasonably priced competitors and is more about status than anything else.
You could argue that about a lot of kit in the fishing game. Rods, bivvys, bite alarms etc. we’re lucky that there’s so much choice these days
Stop whining like a little girl. I've got a p1 and its the bollox. Stop wanking your money on rent boys and save up no need to thank me 👍
My bivvy bag is smaller than the pod bag
👍
Jag pod light and cheaper!
Pro-lite Mk2 ftw, more compact aswell as lighter.
Looks like scaffolding 😏
Well that's another few ton u have cost me Joe.
Price and Look is bad
Pods for nods 🤣
500 sheets 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Teenage pregnancies 😂
что это за говно за 800 евро ???
