Garage saling 101. When negotiating, if the offered amount is physically seen by the seller, you have a higher chance of getting them to accept it. Cash is king!
Yard sales around my area are people selling old shoes with 60k miles walked in them for $30 each 😂

I am guessing you are from California like me. Like everything else, every person thinks their items are gold and want internet prices at their garage sales. It is difficult to watch people in other states get such good deals on quality items. I am jealous of their hauls. Here thrift stores sell shirts with holes in them for $8.99 each.

I've noticed that in depressed areas everyone thinks their grandmas dirty diaper is worth $100,000. Instead of paying you to remove it.

I love watching your videos and others as well. I freak out tho when you make a pile and walk away to do more shopping. I'm always worried someone will take stuff out of your pile. I would make a small tarp that says sold to lay over my pile while I shop.

Haha I’ve used that tactic to sellers who were hard nosed with an attitude and 100% they always end up giving in. Otherwise i walk. Nothing to lose

This is why I love garage sales so much. I found many purge sales this year. I probably bought near 500 $1 items at one sale. Profit over $10,000.

I would have walked as soon as Grandma started acting like she was an administrator. She was actually rude about it. There’s a way to decline an offer or negotiate without being awful.
"The Cure" is my favorite band. Favorite song by them is a song called "Sugar Girl" and "2 Late". The artwork on that shirt is from their album "Wild Mood Swings".

I love how people always bring up ebay at garage sales. If he knows that he could sell the shoes for more on ebay then he should be doing that anyway and not just sell it at a garage sale thinking that people will want to pay ebay prices for it.
I’m a seamstress; vintage cotton woven fabric sells!!!!! There are collectors & there are specific designers that will go for huge money!!! If interested in knowing more about fabric; I’d be happy to let you know. But I saw you pass on some great pieces. Arts & crafts are a great sale especially now since many people have learned to sew during the quarantine.

As soon as I heard The Cure I knew you hit the jackpot….I’m dying that this was three years ago…they’re my absolute favorite band…Robert Smith is a musical genius and I would freak out if I found that shirt at a garage sale in that great of condition!!! I do have my concert shirt from when I saw them in 1987…well my daughter has it…she swiped it from me before she left to college in Colorado 😂

People selling sometimes don’t take into consideration with the “I could get more on eBay” line it’s; how long the item can sit, shipping, taking items to get shipped/or wait for it to be picked up, payments going threw etc. sometimes getting cash in hand, Getting rid of the product fast is the way to go.
Once again. If you're doing a cash thing, NEVER carry your money in a frickin' wallet, fold it over and keep it in the same FRONT pocket every time! Once it gets to be about 3/8" thick, rubber band it. Look, you can easily, and SAFELY, carry $10K in 100's this way. Where's the insults or is that click bait?

1:14 that black roller tote is a craft item. If its a P3 Crop In Style, they sell for over $100+ on eBay. Other totes sell for $40-50 on facebook locally.

When I see those prices on everything I just start moving stuff around and upside down then leave, enjoy wasting everyone's time and now I waste your time.

He buys a pile of stuff for $100 and can sell it on eBay for wayyyyy more. All he has to do is list it on ebay and ship it out and he's making thousands of these people. One time I went to a garage sale and found a headset for pilots (I have a private pilot's license so I knew what it was and the fact I could make about $150 on ebay for it). I asked the lady what she wanted for it. She says, "Well I'm not sure, I think it's for some kind of game or something. How about $5?" I said hey sounds great, in fact, I'll give you $10 because I'm feeling generous today. I sold it on eBay for $140 within three days.

I laughed when the lady rounded your buy up from $89.00 to $90.00. Still laughing, Greetings from North Michigan. BTW the toy Willys Jeep (GI Joe Model) that appeared in the lower right of the screen at the 1 min. 15 second time. It sells for $150 to $450.00, depending on condition.

You should have bought those vintage sewing patterns if they were cheap. I collect those until I can fill a box, then I start the bidding at around $35. I've made upwards of $200 on a box full as is.

@@PartTimePickers Definitely want to pick up any Vintage WWF/WCW T-shirts, Foam fingers....worth ridiculous amounts of money. That foam finger is at 2:36. May not be in great condition, but it has sold recently for $99 and $155. Says "American Made" on one side of it...check them out on ebay!

He was using the eBay seller app. In the search function there's a camera button, which brings up a barcode scanner.

I usually don't like resellers but your prices seem more fair and less gouge-y than other people out there.
Man I bought a box of old perfume and makeup and compact mirrors. I sold the smallest little bottle of perfume for $35 yesterday. I also sold a vintage celeste lipstick holder for about $25 from that box. I paid $2 for the box of stuff. I haven't even sold the expensive bottle of perfume yet. Funny thing is I would have never thought of buying that box of perfume if I hadn't watched you buy that. It is funny how that old perfume can sell for so much.
Matt great video! Unfortunately you missed a 1970s GI-JOE AT Jeep, figure and accessories . Like a horror movie film yelling at the characters to run, I was yelling for you to get the GI JOE. lol (@ 9:48) I recently picked up a lot of 70's Adventure Team GI JOE at an estate sale. I was bid up on it at $230, but still managed to make great money.

If any bowling alleys are open near you, it might be a good idea to take the playboy ball there and run it through a ball polishing machine before photos/listing.
In reality that cure tshirt is worth anywhere between $200-$350 depending on where u go online to sell it.. it’s a rare tour shirt from the cure... the wild mood swings tour shirts are few and far between when u go looking for them. Good score... I’d be interested to see who the original owner of that shirt was in that household lol...
