I would not tell them anything. I leave my phone in the truck. Then sometimes when I get back to the truck. I will look something up and go back and buy it. All these buyers walking around with their phone in hand..🙄
It's because if they weren't lazy, they would sell it on Ebay themselves; But, also a LOT of scammers trolling Ebay, now..."I didn't get it", "Does a return, sends their broken item back" Ebay almost ALWAYS sides with the buyer, so you automatically must be prepared to take some losses...
This is why I watch you. You handle the sellers and other buyers with respect. You have no problem sharing if there is more than one, knowing another buyer expressed interest in the same thing. These are qualities that seem to get lost with many resellers. I have my hubby watching you since he is getting interested in learning how to resell. Keep up the good work.
You are so incredibly patient! I don’t know how you do it! These people that host garage sales and don’t have items already marked. Then they have the nerve to ask you how much they’re worth. They either want to sell it or they don’t. And if they expect to get top dollar then they should be doing the research prior to the sale! SMH!
I was going to say that too. Considerate even if you dont buy. And you were willing to share the iPads with the other customer. Its understandable to want a good deal to resell stuff but good manners are always good business.
It does no good to know the value of an item, the people that frequent yard sales are only going to offer you pennies on the dollar. You can make more money bagging fries at McDonalds.
Is it wrong that i sometimes watch you just to listen to you? You’re such a nice guy and so lovely with people! 😁 Listening to al the American accents is so nice!
I'm first again, I can't wait for our sales to start. I have a wallet I use for garage sales with dividers for$5, $10, $20's and $1. Works best for me to see what I have at a glance. Great scores today 👍
Where do I find a wallet with a divided bills pocket? I can't seem to find any they always just have one pocket EDIT: Nevermind finally found one with 3 bill slots on amazon!
Those echo dots are hard sells. They gave them away one year for pretty much any purchase around Black Friday and always constantly on sale. I gave one away as a gift and sold the other 2 and got $15-20 each and this was 2 years ago when they were newer.
Nice weather for sales! We're not having such nice weather this weekend, sadly. The lady with the calculator was so nice. I like going to sales like that. The putter guy was funny in his response. "All of them?!?"
Did that lady customer really just do that? She said that she wanted one of the ipads that was already in your hand (and not hers)?! We all know that if you want something when you are at a garage sale, you pick it up right then and there. You don’t walk away. Thought it was a bit rude of her. You were nicer than you had to be!
Your money in your wallet would drive me crazy. I was a casino cage cashier and all that money would have to be faced and in numerical order. Disorganization causes mistakes.
I was a cashier for years and the direction of my bills was messy, drove everyone crazy and coworkers covering my breaks would straighten it all out and complain. But I would cringe at how the other cashier's would linger with their drawers open. One day, as I returned to my station, a supervisor snapped, "I straightened out your drawer!" I sweetly said, "Awe, thanks; you didn't have to do that." My boss looked over, so she ordered him to exhort me on the subject. He calmly replied, "I've been meaning to address that for years, but she ALWAYS balances to the PENNY!"
I myself am a highly organized wallet carrier. My partner is not. He barely uses his wallet, instead opting for the wadding in the pocket technique, with ones, tens, fives and twenties mashed together in absolutely no order whatsoever. I asked him where he ever learned to do such a thing. He said he didn’t know. At Christmas my mother-in-law insisted in taking us out to dinner. When it came time to pay she didn’t open her pocketbook. You guessed it! She shoved a hand in her pocket and pulled out a crazy haphazard wad of bills. I looked at my partner and we both cracked up. LOL 😂
Always take batteries out of things when not in use. Basic rule. Also, bring bags! If you bring money, bring bags or totes. No brainer. LOVE your videos Matt!!!!!
I enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for sharing. I was selling until ebay required my social security number. I realize that it's for taxes yet feel so uncomfortable putting it out on line.
Awesome deals you get out in Cali! Love y'alls vids. You and your wife make a great team. Yall are very inspiring. Video binging your channel today lol. Peace from Houston, Texas!
We did a drinking game tonight! We did a shot every time you said “No Worries” I’m not legally able to operate a Television right now. Just joking Matt! You are the coolest nicest guy!! Polite kind and caring!!
I’m curious about whether you could get the iPads working. I have, but you can also send them to Apple to “ fix” and they’ll send a refurbished one. I’m just buying refurbished ones now.
Hi Matt. Your videos are awesome! Love the editing and content of your videos plus you are very gifted at reselling! Thanks for sharing your skills with us! :-)
You should calculate how long it takes you to find the items, post them on ebay, manage the inventory, package and ship them. I bet that cuts into your "cost" total at the end.
Unless they’re going to go through the trouble of listing items on eBay themselves, take the offer! $5 is decent for a pair of worn shoes. $5 is worth more than the chance of getting $0. It’s great to make some money from a garage sale, but the real point should be to clear things out quickly...at garage sale prices.
Ok so did anyone else see that with the garbage bag by the garage. It starts right at about 3:41. Was it windy that day? Oooeeeooo. Lol Peace Love and Harmony.
I just picked up 8 hand quilted blankets. 2 of them are king size with 2 matching pillow cases each. I was wondering if you could help me determine a value on them since you said your mother knew quite a bit about them. Thank you if you can.
Hey what's up dude I met you today at the estate sale. I'm looking through the medical supplies we bought and I may have a charger that goes to the one you have. Also mine is missing a DC cable let me know if you have that among your stuff.
I went to a sell last week. The jewelry was reasonable but too high to resell I told her how to use Mercari. She was scrolling through the app before I left.
I had some prince tennis rackets that were listed for almost $400 on eBay . I never sold them cause I was not confident in selling them. The grips were worn . I think my relatives ended up using the rackets.Have you sold any rackets for over $200.
@@PartTimePickers I better stick to my niche. I love your videos . I went to a estate sale today seller had retail prices. I spent $90. Not liking what I bought now. 2 fila sweaters, red McDonald’s worker tshirts.etcI gotta slow down. Been selling 8 years maybe.
No I bought way more the that. Plus 2 Cantus jack macdonalds t shirts.2 camel cigarettes hats.Other hats and other stuff. I usually spent very low amounts. I turn $5 into $100 all the time . I got this . Thank you
I play tennis and know rackets. Unless they are new and of professional mode versions, you won’t get $200+. Your average new racket to resell will be less than $100
Why is everyone asking how much the items are worth when they are the host of the yard sale.
To than ask for that price lol
I would not tell them anything. I leave my phone in the truck. Then sometimes when I get back to the truck. I will look something up and go back and buy it. All these buyers walking around with their phone in hand..🙄
Why are you telling them how to look it up? so they can charge you higher prices?

Matt, I love the whistle starts and you start flashing the amount you list/sold your items for. You are great teacher!
The season has begun, and Matt is killing it. Teaching the sellars, you are such a hoot!!!
Haha thanks for watching!
Calm, cool and collected. We should all be more chill and kind like you Matt! ☮
The grinding sound when you stacked those two iPads ...... 😬
Haha I agree
I really respect how you interact with the sellers....even looking up prices for them!!
I was going to say that too. Considerate even if you dont buy. And you were willing to share the iPads with the other customer. Its understandable to want a good deal to resell stuff but good manners are always good business.
Ack! There is a Mattel "Toot Sweet" in the box at 3:34 thats $150 to $200 if complete. Look at the old stuff!
Very good eye
Most people wouldn't even think twice about the tub and tile boxes...nice! That thinking has helped me source some new items at the thrift, thanks!
Awesome Kyle! Thanks for watching
I am amazed that you had to look up items to give the people ideas of what to sell items for. I can't wait for garage season here in Michigan.
I thought the same thing! 😁
It does no good to know the value of an item, the people that frequent yard sales are only going to offer you pennies on the dollar.
You can make more money bagging fries at McDonalds.
One of my friends who lives there said her city taxes earnings on her garage sale profits. Is that true for all of MI?
You walked right past the San Francisco Giants $100 satin jacket
I saw that
I know!!!
I love how you negotiate. You walk away when you do not want to pay price.
I couldnt stop replaying @ 3:44 on the video, the package on the ground moved by its self lol
Omg. It did!
It always blows me away when folks nonchalantly say... ya, I’ve got a Nintendo I’d sell. 😂

A little free with the Ebay info. Honesty only gets you so far. Usually a path to paying more.
For a while i thought i was seeing paranormal activity at 3:42 when the brown bag moved, then i saw a black cat 😱😂

I'm really into these type of garage sale videos these days.
6 minutes in and already helping 2 people
Mattel Toot Sweet..🤑. My eye would have went right to that old vintage box.
Watching on 10-22-21. Did you end up selling all of the putters?
Hey Matt, curious in how you ship the putters, box wise. Really like your videos, I’ve learned tons of new info. Thanks
How do you choose which garage sales you go to????
AWESOME RAD VIDEO!
My neighbor put up a sign that said "Huge Garage Sale"
Looks like a normal garage to me.
Did the iPad work? And how much did it go for
Great sales, can't wait until they open up here. Have only been to one so far, spent a lot for 140 vintage barbies!
You should calculate how long it takes you to find the items, post them on ebay, manage the inventory, package and ship them. I bet that cuts into your "cost" total at the end.

I watched the whole video. What did you say that "shocked him" at a garage sale?
Why didn't you buy the Toot Sweet toy....I'm looking for one
