      Ghetto Styles they need to change stuff like that from a misdemeanor to something major. I get the idea of trying not to crucify stupid cops for honest mistakes but when the majority of a case is dependent on their record keeping and fact verification, then your interpretation of any event should be very spot on.

    • @GhettoStyles

      @@lorenagarcia8322 This should definitely be something major. This officer lied and said the guy smacked him which never happened in any video and then arrested him for assault on a police officer. THIS CANNOT BE ALLOWED!

    Here's what should happen:
    Body cams should be required to turn on WITH audio for 100% of the interaction.
    I would say 100% of the entire shift, but I understand that people burp, fart, sing to themselves, etc. when no one is around, so why record that?
    But the second a police officer decides to engage with someone, it has got to turn on.
    Plus, I don't understand why the police are allowed to turn the audio off and on.

      The way body cams work is they start audio and video once you tap them on, but they pull video with no sound from before the tap at a predetermined time frame set by the department. The only way you will have audio and video is if they're on 24/7.

      In order for that to happen we need to end their police unions

    • @frederickcalara6347
      @frederickcalara6347 4 роки тому

      @@mando8991 The people need a law or Supreme Court ruling that removes qualified immunity. Qualified immunity has been abused by many who wear the badge. The unions can still exist but they have to take the funds for the defense of their officers from their pension so it creates accountability. If an officer gets convicted in criminal court then he or she has to shoulder the bill given by the court, same goes for civil damages. We should all be equally accountable under the eyes of the law irregardless if one is wearing a badge. It is likewise a correct to remove the DA from prosecuting police misconduct and give it to the AG. I do understand your viewpoint as well. Union removal could help create accountability among officers as well. Maybe there can be a middle ground for us as a society regarding the need for policing and the tasks they are required to do.

    IF an officer takes an oath to serve and protect now if that officer makes a false statement about a citizen why isnt that a breech of their oath and they need to be charged with falsifying a crime, just like when a woman says she was raped by someone and it never happened ,, she should be charged with the crime of rape and made to pay the penalty in prison. Watch youtube and see how the corrupt cops stack charges against someone so it makes more difficult for the innocent person to unwind his problems in court and before a judge ,, which in most cases the judge is the final member in this corrupt system we now have..

This would affect both active and retired police. Maybe then, police will begin to honestly police themselves and refrain from making these kind of false charges/arrests.

    What part of criminal behavior don’t the police understand??? When they assault people for absolutely nothing they need to be held to the highest standards and criminally charged. They are not immune or exempt from the laws of this country!!

    There's a video out here taken by a bystander. He was actually sitting down on a curb and was approached by an officer and several other policemen showed up as well. He was verbal with the arresting officer but I don't think that vid shows he slapped the officer or anything. I don't remember why he was handcuffed, but he wasn't combative at that point other than verbally.

    A cop brought my older brother home one day about 50 years ago. My brother had disrespected the cop with his big mouth! He didn’t call the cop “broh” 50 times or the N word 5 or 6 times like this boy did. Watch the other video that came out and you can see for yourself. You can also hear his friends in the background with their 2 cents worth. What took place here was a smart ass but intelligent kid trying to impress his smart ass friends with his “cool black with the impressionable dopey white kids attitude” Back to my brother; the ole man took care of the situation and he did it right in front of the cop and a few neighbors! Yep, it was all over and that was the last time my brother had any problems with the cops! Oh, no one called local news as well!
