I remembered this as a kid and was intrigued enough to buy it on a collectors site last week. Watching it back it reminds you how strange the days were before canned laughter became the norm. Here, so many gags simply die with no reaction whatsoever. Now, I know it's not the greatest sitcom in the world, but some of the lines deserved some kind of reaction from the audience. It wouldn't happen nowadays. Look at Still Open All Hours for proof.

When this was on TV, I was closest in age to Susie; now, Katie! She's an attractive woman, but still, that's scary!
