Full respect to Alison. I find her inspiring - a single woman vanning alone for the first time. I think her courageousness may just encourage more single women to have the confidence to go it alone.
Yes the first time is a little nerve racking but once you get use to doing everything yourself it’s great fun. I have a dog which make me feel safer too.
We all need a Bob on our maidan journey to a campsite. Well done Alison, the next time will be even easier. Sky is a beautiful dog, having a dog with you makes the adventures so much better. My Coco loves our van.
It was very useful to see someone new with their motor home, as always an enjoyable video, I don't get out much but love to see you all having a lovely time & the scenery xx
Hi Bob and Jenny, your adventures have been a much needed relief during pandemic have been so grateful as have missed going away and seeing different places and trips down memory lane, thank you so very much keep up the good work xx
We had a week in our caravan at Grafham Water at the end of June, having seen your previous video and liked the look of it. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and because we were staying for a week the wardens kindly, and unexpectedly, saved a hardstanding pitch for us if we wanted it. The pitch was number 3, right opposite the service point that’s next to the MSP, which was extremely handy as we could quickly top up our Aquaroll and empty the grey water which made using our own washroom easy. The wardens were chatty and helpful, and they really looked as though they enjoy their work. I’ve seen several sites whilst watching your videos that I’d like to visit, so thank you for showing us around and taking us along on your holidays.
Hi Bob and Jenny. Keep up the the good work. I have meant to say for a long time. Bob you are a very . Considert and courteous driver.i wish there were more drivers like you on the road..well done.
Absolutely marvellous video. Spectacular views. Great tour . Lovely place to visit. Awesome video skills. Thanks for sharing. Stay blessed and connected.
Great video Bob, Alison was grateful of your help, I thought she did very well, very brave to be single in your van. Just needs confidence. We will be very anxious when we get our motorhome and there will be two of us!! Xx
Absolutely love watching you vlogs, especially when you’re on the way to a new site. Alison looked a bit nervous to start off but looks like she will enjoy her motor home. 😁😁 Keep these brilliant vlogs coming.👍👍
I’m not sure if Alison is a single lady , but I am , I’ve had to learn everything from watching mainly your videos Bob. She very lucky to have you. I’m much more confident nowadays , but I remember those days well . A steep Learning curve 😂. I’m a fellow fox red Labrador owner too.. I’ve have a crazy 2 year boy called Sid.. I’m sure Alison will have many happy trips in her camper 😊
Another great vid. I glad you tell people not to coil their leads, I once had an extension lead overheat and melt so never leave them in the reel. Here at the River Breamish site there are lots of vans with leads coiled on the reels - the message doesn’t seem to be getting through.
Hi bob and Jenny great video nice to see Alison out in her new van! We are currently in our VW camper van in moffat, as you highly recommended in a few of your vlogs beautiful site lovely town centre and shops and a big bag of Jenny’s boiled sweets, lovely keep up the good work regards dave
Interesting to see what. Alison ended up with. We’re glad she went for something a bit larger. Looks like a nice campsite - we have added it to our “line to visit” list 👍🏻
Excellent Bob another local site down the road from me iv'e not been to, maybe fit a weekend in there next year. Thanks for sharing a vlog with another Skye in.
Enjoyed this. Love the colour of Skye, and she seem to enjoy Poppy and Tara. That was a nice site. I noticed on another video that you travelled from north of Liverpool. My brother lives in Southport, are you from near there? Great for bird watching.
Hi both, recently started following you, great vids and lots of good info, I’m entertaining getting my 1st motorhome, but am looking at getting a large tag axle around about 8.7m as I’m hoping to do a few European trips, I was wondering if you know of many restrictions on the larger wagons?
You need to be aware there are a few campsites you might not fit on, and there are generally lower speed limits in Europe for vehicles over 3500kg. Ferries, vignettes, travel passes and tolls can all be more expensive if you're over 3500kg.
Sandra Westley having travelled for the last 40 years all over Europe, the biggest problem is the size of pitches they use, nothing like over here, and normally to make it more private they put hedges around 3 sides, which is difficult to manoeuvre a vehicle, we had a mover on our caravan, but we did for 3 years have a double axle and that was even more difficult to manoeuvre, but as you book you site !wYs make sure they know the length and size of your motor home.
Nice vlog! I noticed on the Wildax it said, do not travel with the water tank filled ? Is that unique to the Wildax or do all campers/mohos say that ? X
I would say you shouldn't travel with full tanks. Water is heavy and can cause your motorhome to be overloaded. If your payload allows it, it's a good idea to have a small amount of water in the tank for flushing the loo, washing up and drinks on the journey, say a quarter tank.
Hi Bob and Jenny, thanks for the video. Can I just ask how much water does your mh hold and how long does your tank last when you use your own shower and washing up etc. Do you empty all your water and tanks when you leave a site to go home for petrol economy or does that not factor in your travelling? I don’t have a mh but I find these kind of videos interesting. Thanks. 👍
The fresh water tank holds 90 litres and the waste holds 68 litres. We usually go a couple of days before filling up if we're both having showers in the morning. I always try and empty the waste water before travelling, but try to keep about a quarter in the fresh tank for flushing the toilet, coffee and washing up on the journey.
Oh we like this, is this the same Alison that was with you at the NEC when choosing a motorhome, van, campervan or trailer tent? Good to see and that's a nice Wildax van👍 Just wondering Bob, are you available to jump in our van (when we get one) and set it up too🙂👍
Hi Bob have you ever had any trouble with the self raise barriers I am new to campervaning and just one day out in the van a V LINE SE 610 The barrier came down on my van and damaged the roof So my question is have you ever had a problem Should they have some kind of fail safe on them
Loved this vlog bob & Jenny. The tap thing you screw into the fresh water infill what's it called and can you leave the tap open once the fresh water tank is full of do you need to turn the tap off ? ..so uttoxeter your bound .we live about 10 miles away and didn't even know of a site there lol ....

Hi again Bob, sorry to bother you again but wondering if you have any recommendations for motor home insurance please.
No, sorry I don't make recommendations on insurance, legally you have to be qualified to do that, like an insurance broker.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Thanks Bob, no worries
Green video again Bob 😁
Hello , is the site near to the reservoir, I’m an avid fly fisherman and was curious to know if it was convenient?
The water itself is a 20-30 minute walk away. Easier on a bike I guess.

This week
Hope we meet some friendly motorhomers, we don’t have any friends with a motorhome.
There are plenty of friendly motorhomers around, wave at them, say hello.
Is that phone box only for trunk calls 😁
I noticed when you showed the site plan, there were black pitches, what are these please, never noticed them before 🤔. Thanks in advance 😊
Probably Seasonal Pitches, that can be booked for the summer.
