Another good video well done Bob and Jenny. We were actually at the site when you arrived and you drove past us on your way in. We had five nights and left the day after you arrived for Rookesbury Park where you came from. We agreed with you and some of the other comments that it is a nice site apart from the potholes and fly tipping on the road in. We visited the marina a few times for an evening drink but were asked to leave the outside sitting area of Wetherspoons as they do not allow dogs apparently. We had no problem anywhere else. Lots of nice walks from the site. Keep up the good work,
I never get bored watching you document your travels. Still one of the best UA-camrs out there. I dread to think what your fuel bill is these days Bob! I follow Bob and Jenny bumper stickers….you need to do these😀
That’s a nice site Bob and Jenny. My late Mum and Dad had a camper van. Being members of the Caravan and Motor Home Club, they usually preferred to use their listed parks, when on holiday. I hope you enjoy your stay at this one. I enjoy following you on your travels, when I can.
Hello we were there a couple of weeks ago, amazed to see two brand new top of the range motorhomes parked outside (free ) for the 2 days were were there.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo absolutely,we fulltime and free camp sometimes, but not on roads that are not really made for the wider Vehicles. Have seen council pilote schemes started for motorhomes and then stopped after a short time because of prolonged free camping. Dawlish Warren was one, lovely spot for a day or two, and shut down because of free loaders. Having lived in France and travelled France, it's reciprocal, stay but put something back into the community where you are
Hi Bob, didn’t get a chance to find out which site you’re on, but it was lovely to meet you today at Bodiam Castle, but sorry not to have seen Jenny and the girls too. I’m a volunteer there and was in my medieval costume doing castle tours today. I recall hearing you say at the start of this tour that you planned on going to Battle Abbey so wondered if you’re at Normanhurst Court. Even though it’s only 20 minutes from home we stayed there for a weekend last year. The Kent & East Sussex Railway is also a good day out, running between Bodiam and Tenterden. I saw the trains were running today, so maybe you did a trip. Enjoy the rest of your time in our beautiful part of East Sussex.
Thanks, great to meet you today. It's our last night at Normanhurst Court. Really enjoyed our time in Sussex. We visited Battle Abbey, Hastings and Rye but missed out on the Bluebell Line.
This is a site we are familiar with. It used to be a winter break for us with our caravan and we took Bertie there too when he was new. They did start having shepherds huts and glamping near the entrance but I didn’t see them in your video. Brought back a lot of memories. Thanks for the look around. 😃🚐 Trev n Sue
Thanks 4 sharing. I am going with my dog and a friend in a tent there soon, my first camping experience. Rain forecast! My lab should like it. Glad you had a good time
Sadly it was thunder and lightning all night and my dog Lucy was frightened. Plus rain came in the air vents! We endured 4 2 nights...but fun! A motor home sounds better!
Hi Bob. Was interested to see the site, as living in Hove, this is right on our doorstep. Sometimes a site close to home is ideal for a weekend away. If you are in this area again I would recommend Normans Bay, Nr Pevensey. Right next to the sea and easy access to Eastbourne. Another great video, thanks for sharing.
Was at Brighton in May, stayed 2 nights, to see the Hollies at the Brighton centre, if you enjoy Turkish food, the Constantinople restaurant in Norfolk Square well worth a visit
Hi Bob and Jenny, we’ve been going this site for the last 10 years as my son lives just down the road, and I’ve complained every time we come about the potholes and still nothing has been done, worse than that is where you said they don’t need speed ramps is the council office on the corner so you would think they could get the potholes sorted out. But on the other hand it’s a really nice site. Hope you have a nice stay and it was nice to meet you both at the Herman fest. Safe travels Paul and Heike
Hi Bob and Jenny, loved the drive to the site and what a big site it is, very spacious too. Glad you found a good pitch. Nice to see you both sorting the laundry, I wouldn’t have been able to reach that tumble dryer, I’d have to of taken a stool😳, thanks for sharing great as usual x
THANK YOU for showing the road signs. I normally choose the CL sites but I may need to re-think after having watched your lovely well kept and "green" videos of U.K.'s amazing campsites. ☺
Hi Bob,Jenny, poppy and Tara, we have been to Brighton several times, our last visit was Christmas 2021. You are on the pitch opposite where we stayed at Christmas, lovely site and we went into Brighton on the bus it was a lovely journey hope you enjoy your stay x
New sub to your channel, watched a few now and enjoy your different journeys to the sites bit. Don't tour now but when did Sheepcote Valley was a favourite haunt of ours. The only trouble with Brighton and still is Parking! Great vids👌👍
Bob, I understand that you have a driveway awning, have you ever produced a video on how easy is it to drive away and then return with the motorhome to a pre-sited awning and reconnected to the motorhome awning? Thank you, Timothy
Yes, I think so, on our Llanberis video. It's not something I do a lot of these days as we're often out in the car.. ua-cam.com/video/lcKjArZmKnU/v-deo.html
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Bob, Thank you for the guidance to the Llanberis episode, we have just watched the recording and question whether it is worth the effort but will review after this season and monitoring the actual use of the wind out awning and necessity for an enclosure (Auto Sleeper Winchcombe). Hi guys, you drove very nearly past my front door ( albeit very slowly ) when you passed through Worthing, I would have made you a cuppa if I had known.
Oh Bob, you could have waited a couple of weeks I've got my 60th Birthday bash there from 8-11 July inclusive. 😉 Good video as always though. And Welcome to Sussex by the sea 👍
Hi Bob, jenny, poppy & Tara, did you run over that pheasant. The site at Brighton looks lovely, how nice for you both to take off & go wherever you like. It must be lovely for poppy & Tara too. Have a safe drive & take care both of you, lots of love Linda xx ❤
When you get to the Battle area, just at least check out the Kent & east Sussex railway, not far from Bodiam castle & indeed the Rother valley railway at Robertsbridge who are in the process of extending toward the KESR at Bodiam. 👍
An observation learning from your road journeys. There's a lot of rattling on the road even with modern motorhomes. Less for me to worry about when I get there in less than 2yrs. Can you tell I'm counting? x
Looks lovely i have never been to Brighton. Nice to see you both in the launderette 😊 I noticed a motor home parked by the big field you took Poppy& Tara to?
A case for cloudy: sunny skies look great but...the impossible heat! Here in Victoria BC, we've had a mild last month; suddenly our first heat wave. Only a couple of days and already cannot handle it...I'm such a wimp. 😅Love your trip, thank you! 🥰
Looking forward to going here having had our van out of action for 3 months due to an electrical fault that turned out to be one broken wire! Bit of a bone to pick by the way; since seeing your video about the M&S Plant Burgers, I now have to call into M&S each week to pick those up as well as other joys my wife now likes! 😂
Have you ever had a close shave with people at roundabouts and junctions only expecting a Moho.....then realising there is also a tow car right behind. I find a lot of other motorists go very close behind while in a great rush
No, I can't say that I have ever noticed that. I think if they were that close at roundabouts, they'd be risking hitting the motorhome, let alone the car behind. On the motorway, there have been a couple of occasions where impatient trucks started pulling out immediately after I overtook them, then noticed the car behind.
As we’ve done Brighton plenty of times we were shouting at the screen, “turn left there, don’t go down there, park there, walk the dogs over there” but you obviously couldn’t hear us 🤣
We like and often stay at Caravan and Motorhome Club sites. I prefer to choose a pitch rather than being allocated one, but it does sometimes mean too much choice.

Mind yourself’s in Brighton City Centre and keep your wits and 👀 eyes on your personal belongings. Was there a couple of weeks ago and the place seems to have taken a step backwards. Sad, as I used to like spending a few days there enjoying all the different aspects of Brighton !! Unfortunately I witnessed a lot of people with various challenging addictions just sitting on the steps of the shops with a hopeless look on their sad faces !! Every two minutes police cars were screaming by with sirens blasting out heading to another location !! My friend actually witnessed a young lad with a GRINDER in broad daylight trying to grind the security chain off a bike - and was being held back by the public - and, the police were called !! Unfortunately - the police never came for about fifty minutes - by this time the public who were holding this guy started to argue with each other to let the lad him go free !! Apparently the lad asked for his grinder back from a member of the public who had it, and was waiting to hand it to the police 👮♂️!! Our son lives in the lanes in Brighton, so this site is very handy.
Apart from needing your own bucket of tarmac 😁 it looks a lovely site. thanks for showing us round because we had been talking about trying it.

I can only think maybe the council don't own the road, often campsites are off private roads.
