Since wagons are a dying breed (they say) - I did start to look into these MPV (?) style cars, like this and the BMW 2 Tourer. I must say I'd take any B-class over the BMW but the new range of engines and infotainment is well above class in the Merc! Also trying to get my dad to buy an older B-class - so I can compare it to my E46 Touring LOL!!
Hi my friend, I'm planning to buy a 2015 B250 sports tourer, 111k kms. It will be my first car in Toronto but worried about maintenance cost. Can you share how much it cost yearly?
I had a B class for just over 7 years and did 80,000 miles with it, In my personal experience, over the time I had it, repairs cost me £1.00 for every 10 miles driven. A few silly things, like the rear window sprayer leaking screen wash into the tailgate, but also new brake discs and pads all around every 20,000 miles. On the positive side, mine Never let us down, Never broke down. If you are happy to put away £0.10 per mile you drive it, you will have no further serious issues.
Have they lowered the spec of the B Class / Compact ranges premium and premium plus models? I see the CLA class has lost some features including the Easy Tailgate, wireless charging, upgraded sound system and heads up display.
That's right. The current semiconductor shortage is affecting the entire industry at the moment so there have been a few specification and equipment changes for new build models. We're hoping that the situation will improve swiftly.
Is it suitable for disabled person needs to get in and out and place a wheelchair in a boat please ? Which one is more convenient GLA or B Class please ??? Thanks for review anyway .
Thank you! Great questions - the GLA and B-Class are virtually identically sized but the B-Class sits lower to the ground which aids entry and exit. It's a bit more of a step up into the cabin of the GLA compared to the B-Class. As for loading and unloading a wheelchair, the boot capacities are again virtually identical with the B-Class boot being 10mm deeper than the GLA. The boot opening is 5cm lower to the ground which I find aids loading and unloading larger items. I'd always recommend trying them both but for me the B-Class comes out on top between the two with its larger door and boot openings, lower load lip and boot floor that can be lowered if needed.
I am disabled and chose the B class after viewing many rivals. Boot hight and car hight is great but the clincher was the test cars automatic boot lift( demonstrated on this video). When car was ready I was asked to sign a form that I didn’t really understand about luggage rack-?? When I researched it was the fact that Merc had stopped this tail lift function! Complained and wrote as it was clear I was disabled (buying a motorbility car)and also had chatted to the demonstrating salesman about how useful that was as I had MS. No one wants to help me, don’t even tell me why they stopped it? Presume it’s shortage of chips? Conned.
We've not heard anything about the B-Class being discontinued. What we do know is there are still quite a few years left of this generation's life cycle.
@@anilutkulu That's right - from memory it was sold as the B 250 e/B-Class Electric Drive. GLB has indirectly replaced the B-Class in North America in terms of model size if not the electric drivetrain.
@@LandLAutomotive Actually the B250 EV was only sold in the US and not Canada which instead got the regular gasoline versions. Also the B250e was discontinued in the US due to poor sales, and while it was successful in Canada, they discontinued it in 2019 due to the upcoming launch of the A Class hatchback.
Nothing handles like a Mini - the Countryman steers wonderfully but the B-Class is certainly the softer riding and slightly more refined option. Tough choice!
Mercedes have lost the plot. They use Renault engines in some of their vehicles. If I pay the money that Mercedes expects (which is not inconsiderable) then I should get a Mercedes with a Mercedes designed and built engine.
Buy a EQA to S and your problem is solved. I have a B 250e and hardly use the Renault engine as my daily trip stays under the 67 km or 42 miles. But if needed I'm happy to have a Renault engine that gives me the 218 Hp. Great car to drive and indeed must be fun on a Race track.

It always amazes me what can fit in the back of these! It is a proper TARDIS of the model range.

I have a 200cdi 2010 fitted with DAB and Sat nav, pulls like a train and can burn off most boy racers. Great car , would def buy another

What's the best model choice for town driving? I dont do regular motorway driving so think i would have problems with a diesel but im not sure?
Diesel B200 CDi will do 70mpg easily and I have achieved 93 MPG on a 35 Mile Run in Eco Mode !
"It's easy to get in and out of you know" really made me laugh, classic top gear joke.
*145 MPH and over 53 MPG B200 CDi (W247) owner - who's laughing now !*
Does it have Android Auto support?

How does the driving experience compare to a countryman S?

Your specs are wrong for sports executive edition, 17 wheels only, no privacy glass, oh no android or apple, that is an extra

Would pick the famous k9k engine from Renault any day
