Very nice video. It is not a Renault or Dacia engine. It is a completely Mercedes Benz production in Germany. At high rmps there is no difference at sound when compared with other downsized engines.

It was developed together with Renault and Nissan and is the successor to the 1.6L variant of the M270 engine.[1]. The M282 is also the first Mercedes inline-four engine to feature cylinder deactivation (on the second and third cylinders), as well as an engine particulate filter.[3] It is produced by MDC Power GmbH at the Kölleda plant in Thuringia, Germany.[4]

Cooperationsentwicklung mit Mercedes. Die Frage ist ja, was ist an den eigenentwickelten Mercedesmotoren besser. Gefertigt werden die Motoren ja in Deutschland.

The engine sounds like it will explode anytime soon. I think it's a really bad choice by Mercedes to put this small engine in there.
Renault motors in B180, 180d and B200. All other variants are coming with Mercedes engine. Better go for them instead

Renault diesel engines are very good! Mit Renault Megane 1.5 115hp 2016, have now 190.000km

Every engine when you push it will scream. The Renault engines are very good. I saw few b classes with 3-4 mil km on sale used for taxis with the 1.5d engine. Mercedes engine are to complicated and very expesive to maintain. These engines were develop by Renault-Nissan-Daimler-Mitsubishi.

Con motore Renault 1200 , 116 cavalli su Qashqai, fatto 90.000 km, 7 anni.....poi comprato B 180, 140 cavalli....
