Kaitlin Smith I know this is really late, but whenever I get thrown or something, I'll always get up and ask my horse "Are you okay sir?" Even if something hurts badly. Its just a habit 😂
Why on earth do (most of) these people even try to jump their horses? They don´t even seem to have the basics down .... No feelings for their partners at all, most of the time you can forcast that the horse isn´t going to jump but instead of leaning back giving a half halt they all lean forward and throw away their reins :D Well done! THX for letting us have a great time watching it ^^
its true especially since it is usually the riders fault, not the horses. recently i jumped my horse in a show for the 1st time & the jumps had stripes on them which he was completely petrified of cause he can't see very well & the 1st time he refused but the 2nd time i just told him it was ok and believed with every muscle in my body he was going to go over it and he did. after that he wasn't afraid anymore. just proves if the quote "If you throw your heart over a jump, your horse will follow."
Cute video. Proves horses are smarter than us most of the time: 99% of these were caused by the rider being off balance, the horse feeling it and refusing, probably sparing the riders and themselves even nastier falls...
That horse in the beginning dumped his rider at the water jump (6 or so jumps ahead of the jumps featured in this clip) and took off back to the barn. What I love about him is that he jumped a jump (albeit not in the correct direction!) all on his own! Silly horse!
these riders are very good. we all have bad days and wow i dont blame any of these riders for falling off and i am surprisd at how som of them even stay on!
Although there were a lot of obvious mistakes on the parts of the riders, I liked how a lot of the horses stopped right away when their rider fell off and stayed by them.
just before the jump: jank jank on the reins oh hey how weird the horse doesnt jump. Horse doesn't jump jank jank on the reins oh hey the horse rears how weird... There are a few classic falls in this video, love it ^^ the accidental dismount when a horse jumps when you didn't think he would and stuff. Classic and beautiful :)
I am around jumping horse pretty often there is no need for yanking like that. my friend has a hothead warmblood and jumps her from time to time. That mare has the tendancy to make the strangest leaps if you don't help and correct. Sure there are horses who move they're mouths reall easy. And you have to help and correct the horses where they fly off and will misscalculate but a few of these riders are simply hitting the bit on the jaw that has nothing to do with helping or correcting thats simply yanking the bit. That is not the way to help the horse.
These events were held in Western Washington. Aspen Farms, Donida Equestrian Center, Lincoln Creek, Caber Farm, Northwest Equestrian Center, and the Evergreen State Fairgrounds are all featured in this video.
I just wanna say that i always hope i recognize the places in videos, but this time I knew most because ive competed at them like aspen and the evergreen fair grounds. Im just really excited that I know where these were taken!!
I was never good enough to do show jumping or cross country - I got dressage and games in my troupe but I got a good laugh out of some of these. Great reminders of pony club and that horses get scared of challenges too! Of course hoping all horses and riders were ok.
I don't know if it's just me, but I find these kinds of videos strangely comforting. Like, it reminds me that if you have a bad fall, you can get back up (unless you break something, then good luck with that).
As long as everyone (horse and rider) was okay, we always joked with each other about it, it is a part of the sport. We have good days and "hellish" days, but we learn every time we ride.
I broke my leg in three places from an "assisted dismount" and the worst part of it was I was just sitting on my horse's back talking to my trainer after we just completed a finals prep course at home. He was not a bucker, but Mr. Bombproof was not having any of a giant fly messing around in his nether region. If I had known it was there, I would have gladly dismounted on my own and killed the offender (was so big it should have had its own landing gear). I landed on my feet, but one foot planted and I still had so much momentum - I ended up with an open compound tib/fib and a spiral - and well that was that - ambulance and two surgeries for me. But, there was no deterring me from riding even though I was in my 30's when it happened and I started riding as an adult. If you can swing two pairs of tall boots, get a second pair - having mine on kept me from having more damage because they kept everything in place (sorry if that freaks anyone out).
I love how when the line comes that says, 'The good news is, there's angels everywhere out on the street' it looks like the rider is being comforted by someone.
haha same here. my horse threw me off just a couple of weeks ago right away when i was getting on him. after i got up he just looked at me and i was like:"yeah you dork, thanks for that..." but i would never be angry at a horse for doing things like that since we can't forget that they have a mind on their own too!
I love being able to recognize these places for once, like Aspen or North West or the fairgrounds at our pony club show jump rally!! its alway sfun to recognize people too
there are some very honest horses on this! and some well ridden riders too... but 0:40 is a prime example of when you lean forward and your horse trips or suddenly stops your bound to go out the front door(well at least that is in the UK)
actually, the rider was walking around the fallen poles. If we had continued the clip before going to the next one, she does indeed go to get her horse.
Cross country is so dangerous.. thousands of horses die of that in a year, or break something because the obstacles don't fall if the horse hits it by accident l love the video 01:08 l am in love with that horse!! What a beauty!!! l love the horses nice video!
Jumping and dressage and normal riding are less dangerous then cross 1000 horses die a year of that awful sport because those obstacles don't fall if the horse hits it. which means they could break a leg or worse it can happen too with normal jumping but it's way less
No they're not, bc accident happen just as much as they do in XC....agreed that they're not so flexible if the horse hits it, but now they're trying to make the jumps out of give-able materiel, so it's safer. I ride XC and it's not awful, it's actually super adrenaline rushing and exciting!
Now maybe those obstacles fall but not in every cross country sport. it's been proven. if they changed that l'm happy Because it was not always like that check the past. my parents told me this and they know a lot about horses The old english cross country sport is deadly
Yes, just as trail riding or riding a horse in the arena is deadly and dangerous :) being around a horse in general is dangerous and can result in death at an moment! So yes some sports in the horse industry are a little more dangerous that others but that doesn't make them "evil" or "bad" or "horrible" or anything like that....and it's actually quite rare that a horse or rider gets killed on a XC course....look it up :)
i do cross country and eventing and i found out that fox hunting horses make great cross country horses because they r brave and will go through any terrain and they dont spook easily!!!!
That little girl in the pink with the chestnut pinto has the attitude EVERY rider should have. Mistakes/accidents happen NEVER blame or get mad at your horse. Most of the time it's the our fault when something goes wrong anyway. Bravo to her!
Ive fallen off like a kajillion times but we've never got it on tape :( lol but my horse is terrified of any jump that had anything on it, even stripes on the poles, and i am going to take lessons and maybe even show him at this place i used to ride at because they've got really crazy jumps and i want to get him used to those so im gonna make sure somebody videos every lesson because something is bound to happen :P
She didn't. We have the extended footage and we know that she walked around the fallen poles and went to her horse who was still calmly standing there waiting for her.
I loved how the one girl with the pinto pony went back and patted her horse to help calm him down later. I've seen some people throw some pretty unattractive fits and that made me happy. :D
She did. Off camera. She withdrew from the competition for safety of her horse (and her nerves were rattled, go figure!). Both horse and rider were fine with no scrapes or injuries.
I think its weird how a lot of people stand up and look ashamed or embarrassed that they came off, then there is me who gets up puts my hands on my hips and shouts out "What was that for Tuppence." I know a lot of it may be shock and adrenaline, but I've always gotten up and watched the horse and said something along the lines of "Really? Really? You jumped that earlier!" or "So was that planned or what." Just makes the situation feel diffused to me. Anyone else do this?
+BlackMountain150 Haha I'm the same, I fell off last Friday and I just sat there and looked up at him like "Are you dead serious right now? That's the smallest obstacle for crying out loud!"

it is so cute how one little girl is thrown and then she just gets up and praises her horse, THAT'S a good rider
its at 1:30 when she falls and at 1:36 is her response
Kaitlin Smith You know a rider is gonna go far when they're like this.
Kaitlin Yeah that made me smile instead of that poeople who just whip the horse
Kaitlin Smith I know this is really late, but whenever I get thrown or something, I'll always get up and ask my horse "Are you okay sir?" Even if something hurts badly. Its just a habit 😂
my-welsh-cob Flynn lol that's my habit to mostly cause it distracts me from any and all pain
Why on earth do (most of) these people even try to jump their horses? They don´t even seem to have the basics down .... No feelings for their partners at all, most of the time you can forcast that the horse isn´t going to jump but instead of leaning back giving a half halt they all lean forward and throw away their reins :D

I love the riders that lean in three strides too early and then get mad at the horse for refusing or taking a funky distance.
Cute video. Proves horses are smarter than us most of the time: 99% of these were caused by the rider being off balance, the horse feeling it and refusing, probably sparing the riders and themselves even nastier falls...
I love this song, fits any rider on a bad day!!
That horse in the beginning dumped his rider at the water jump (6 or so jumps ahead of the jumps featured in this clip) and took off back to the barn. What I love about him is that he jumped a jump (albeit not in the correct direction!) all on his own! Silly horse!
1:18 “And I knew that if I stumbled.”
*horse stumbles*
My favorite has always been when I came off and the horse stands there and just looks at me! Like "I was just having fun, where'd you go?"
I love watching these i sympathize with the riders and horses because a lot ofthis stuff has happened to me before
This music is perfect
Thank you! We listen to the lyrics of the songs we pick and do make a conscience effort to find clips that fit! Glad to hear that someone notices! :D
The audio for this is PERFECT.
0:30 Things go from bad to worst you think they cant get worst than that and then they DO! perfect timing lol!!
def. the best horse blooper video i've seen in a while! Nice!
Finally...a good vid with its perfect song
these riders are very good. we all have bad days and wow i dont blame any of these riders for falling off and i am surprisd at how som of them even stay on!

Horse doesn't jump jank jank on the reins oh hey the horse rears how weird...
There are a few classic falls in this video, love it ^^ the accidental dismount when a horse jumps when you didn't think he would and stuff. Classic and beautiful :)
that does mean they have to yank on the bit that hard...
I am around jumping horse pretty often there is no need for yanking like that. my friend has a hothead warmblood and jumps her from time to time. ElementWolf11 it's not like the whole video is bad :p just a few i would have done diffrently :p
This as nice as I get. Take that with your fancy riding gear!
These events were held in Western Washington. Aspen Farms, Donida Equestrian Center, Lincoln Creek, Caber Farm, Northwest Equestrian Center, and the Evergreen State Fairgrounds are all featured in this video.
0:42 wow thats a BIG starting jump
I just wanna say that i always hope i recognize the places in videos, but this time I knew most because ive competed at them like aspen and the evergreen fair grounds. Im just really excited that I know where these were taken!!
I really like your disclaimer! I get so sick of peoples negative comments!! Thanks for sharing this video.
Love the clip of people helping each other out, like they do often do, for the lines about angels and helping hands.
I was never good enough to do show jumping or cross country - I got dressage and games in my troupe but I got a good laugh out of some of these. Great reminders of pony club and that horses get scared of challenges too! Of course hoping all horses and riders were ok.
Too funny! great song for this video!😀 Wondering what the first rider was thinking about jumping, can barely hang on at trot😂🤣😃
1:23 me as a horse just like, Oh, yeah, we got this. HA! NOPe BITCH YOU THOUGHT
I love the 00:48 where the horse is running free - "Im going home!" there are some great dismounts too! Thanks for posting
COOL VIDEO! MY CHILDHOOD MEMORIES...IT'S BEEN MANY MANY YEARS SINCE I FELL OFF NOW AT AGE 60 . I HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING BADLY BEFORE I DO IT WELL!
I love that the very first horse's canter matches the beat of the song perfectly.
I don't know if it's just me, but I find these kinds of videos strangely comforting. Like, it reminds me that if you have a bad fall, you can get back up (unless you break something, then good luck with that).
I thought it was just me and i was being mean by enjoying others misfortunes..
stardustgalaxy17 yuppies
Laura I’m just so relieved I’m not the only one .....
As long as everyone (horse and rider) was okay, we always joked with each other about it, it is a part of the sport. We have good days and "hellish" days, but we learn every time we ride.

That first clip is at the Lincoln Creek grounds in Centralia, WA.
Great editing on this! So many awesome lines that fit the scenes!! Nice job!
I love how when the line comes that says, 'The good news is, there's angels everywhere out on the street' it looks like the rider is being comforted by someone.
I find it funny that the lady at 2:22 was too busy smiling at the camera to pay attention to her horse!
Hah, the first one is the best. I love how the riderless horse JUMPS the jump still! Thanks for putting footage of the riders getting up too.
Croos country scares the crap out of me! but i have friends who are cross country riders who say its alot of fun!
2:40 "HELEN I'M STUCK" lol
haha same here. my horse threw me off just a couple of weeks ago right away when i was getting on him. after i got up he just looked at me and i was like:"yeah you dork, thanks for that..." but i would never be angry at a horse for doing things like that since we can't forget that they have a mind on their own too!
If you know that, you're on the right way to become a good horserider!
I love being able to recognize these places for once, like Aspen or North West or the fairgrounds at our pony club show jump rally!! its alway sfun to recognize people too
Loved the many clips that perfectly fit! Great job, thanks for such an entertaining video : )
AWESOME EDITING! Clips go perfect with lyrics. Great job!

I love the women's expression in at 2.24 :) priceless
Half these riders only have problems because they aren't using their leg aids at all..
lol, we've all been there... I'm sure I could have filled up this whole video with clips of myself!! lol
actually, the rider was walking around the fallen poles. If we had continued the clip before going to the next one, she does indeed go to get her horse.
2:26 poor girl was smiling and happy. Until...
I love the galopping horse at 0:48 :)
1:38 - I like to see that. There's no point in belting the horse for you falling off, especially if some time has passed. What a good little rider.
1:50 such an honest horse to come out of that water and stay pretty steady! Rider did a nice job!
Cross country is so dangerous..
thousands of horses die of that in a year, or break something

l love the video 01:08 l am in love with that horse!! What a beauty!!!

Lol 2:17 the horses is like "Or not"😂
that grey pony at the end is a saint for not running off!
this reminds me of all the horse shows I have attended in the past....some of these were funny others not so....
Awsome music!
GREAT timing on the "if I stumble" line in the song! (at the 1:20 mark) The one at 1:45 is pretty good too!
My horse has probably done nothing this bad. We rock hunters.
XD To funny... There are lots of good little riders in this video though! And most if not all, LET GO OF THE REINS!!!!!! XD
i do cross country and eventing and i found out that fox hunting horses make great cross country horses because they r brave and will go through any terrain and they dont spook easily!!!!
I feel like it's a really bad sign that pretty much all of these remind me of my horse and I xD
That little girl in the pink with the chestnut pinto has the attitude EVERY rider should have. Mistakes/accidents happen NEVER blame or get mad at your horse. Most of the time it's the our fault when something goes wrong anyway. Bravo to her!
Some of the run-outs used to happen to me on a daily basis. (Not the exact ones, but the same thing.)
The clip at @1:02 is in the Evergreen Fairgrounds arena in Monroe. I think that is the only one in this video...
How can you go on with the ride when the horse get stuck like 2:34..?
She didn't. She retired off the course a few moments later and walked her horse back to the barns.
Where were the clips taken? A lot of these places looks familiar to me. o.O
Half of these i was like what the heck! good clips.
Doea anyonr know what the piebald one is called if u go to 1:15. I would really like to know, thanks!
This song really goes with the footage!
Some of these horses have future careers as racing horses. They just fly away from their people.
This is what happens when you jump ahead of your horse or expect him to jump something.
Lol, riding my bronco horse tomorrow 😂
fell of my horse couple of times with jumping and he everytime looked at me like... what the heck are u doing on the ground???
1:07 What a beautifal horse !
You fall, you get right back in the saddle
i fell i got right back on my pony ran into the but i got back on
PERFECT SONG! ESPECIALLY NOW I AM IT TH LATE STAGES OF CANCER. THANKS HEY!
1:43 how did she stay on for me it's impossible to stay on when that happens
I loved how the one girl with the pinto pony went back and patted her horse to help calm him down later. I've seen some people throw some pretty unattractive fits and that made me happy. :D
2:53 froggy leap! love it :)
i love the runaway horse that still does the jump:)
You are welcome to link to it. Please do give us credit and have a great day!
She did. Off camera. She withdrew from the competition for safety of her horse (and her nerves were rattled, go figure!). Both horse and rider were fine with no scrapes or injuries.
2:26, timing is everything
I think its weird how a lot of people stand up and look ashamed or embarrassed that they came off, then there is me who gets up puts my hands on my hips and shouts out "What was that for Tuppence." I know a lot of it may be shock and adrenaline, but I've always gotten up and watched the horse and said something along the lines of "Really? Really? +BlackMountain150 Haha I'm the same, I fell off last Friday and I just sat there and looked up at him like "Are you dead serious right now? That's the smallest obstacle for crying out loud!"
I do not recall who that horse is. :( Sorry we couldn't shed any light on the mystery for you!
at 1:40 if you look in the back ground you will see my friend on her half flinger pony and the gall in the big gray tee is her mom
Nice video love the song
I did the horse scene for a while until I finally figured out you can't fall off your dog
0:19 OH MY GOSH THERE'S A JUMP!
IMMA JUMP IT
IMMA JUMP IT
...
I JUMPED IT.
Is it just me or does everyone else notice when a horse refuses to jump or rams into all the bars by accident, ( 3:06 ) they shake their head like they are saying 'No! No! No! No!' sometimes?
I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!
1:52 that was a good recovery by the horse. He just kind of sprang out of the fall.
“And I do know that if I stumble I’ll fall right to the trap that they were in” -stumbles and falls into jump-
1:13 WAS THE RIDERS FAULT HE WAS PULLING THE HORSE UP AND JUMPING AROUND IN THE SADDLE
so damn true
Elizabeth Walker a lot of them are whipping the horses way too much because they dont want a refusal, and then guess what happens...
Violet Willems yes that is exactly what I was thinking no hate here but they should be falling off
I love this song
i'm always thinking.... if the rider fall off... and the horse starts running. .... on that big piece of nature ???? how do you get your horse back ??? it like endless they can run ??? I mean... can't they escape from the field ?
+Relax in Time Every event "field" is fenced at the very least on the perimeter of the property. Several events consist of several fenced fields. Gates are always a good place to slow down and catch a loose horse. Most loose horses head back to the stabling area where their stablemates are. Horses are herd animals and when looking for comfort, they usually head for the herd.
+MovingImages NW ya know that last one but was just wondering how but thnx for information ^^
Most horses are trained to either let you catch them or they stop in the tracks.
if there is no fence most horses don't really run too far away. They mostly run because something spooked them. so when they feel out of dangers way they'll stop and wait for the owner.. depending on how well trained the horse is of course.
if the horse has a good relationship with the rider it will come back once it's realized that there was nothing to be afraid of
